Cosmological solutions for model with a term
We drive the cosmological solutions of five-dimensional model with
term , where is 4-form field
strength. The behaviors of the scale factors and the scalar potential in
effective theory are examined. As a consequence, we show that the universe
changes from decelerated expansion to accelerated expansion in Einstein frame
of the four-dimensional theory.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures, version to appear in JCA
Newton's law in braneworlds with an infinite extra dimension
We study the behavior of the fourdimensional Newton's law in warped
braneworlds. The setup considered here is a -brane embedded in
dimensions, where extra dimensions are compactified and a dimension is
infinite. We show that the wave function of gravity is described in terms of
the Bessel functions of -order and that estimate the correction to
Newton's law. In particular, the Newton's law for can be exactly
obtained
Correction terms to Newton law due to induced gravity in AdS background
We calculate small correction terms to gravitational potential on
Randall-Sundrum brane with an induced Einstein term. The behaviors of the
correction terms depend on the magnitudes of radius and a
characteristic length scale \l of model. We represent the gravitational
potential for arbitrary and \l at all distances.Comment: 7 pages, no figure. To appear in Phys. Lett.
