    Smart senior's interactive trainer - Development of an interactive system for a home-based fall-prevention training for elderly people

    In this article we picture the process of development for an interactive training system for the prevention of falls for older people in the project SmartSenior. Initially, we will depict the medical background of falls, which is the basis of the user-centered design of our device. Following a thoroughly evaluation of evidenced-based therapeutic strategies and a detailed requirement analysis, an interdisciplinary team consisting of physical therapists, medical practitioners and system engineers developed a technical architecture to enable older people to train their individual functional deficits via a home based telemedical infrastructure. Furthermore, we describe the sensor technology, feedback system used for motivation and correction of the trainee and the security model for the transmission of movement data to an assisting physical therapist

    This intermediate report provides an overview of the current versions of the RAGE games made using the RAGE assets for the first round of pilot testing and formative evaluation. The document serves as internal communication and discussion in RAGE among game companies and asset developers together with case owners and evaluators. Whilst detailed description of the design of the games, together with their learning outcomes and piloting can be found in D4.2 and D5.1, updates and changes to the designs, game flow and use of assets are included here.This study is part of the RAGE project.     This deliverable outlines the design blueprints for the RAGE application scenario games and forms the rest of the scope for WP4’s tasks. The game designs have been developed in collaboration with application scenario partners in WP5, and informed by WP1, 2 & 3. Additionally peer-feedback has been provided by game developers across WP4. The designs outline the integration of the RAGE assets developed in WP2 and WP3. Each section provides in detail the game play descriptions, game dynamics and mechanics, pedagogies and technical implementation of the RAGE assets into the game applications as described in detailed in WP5’s application documents. The full description of the application objectives and associated learning outcomes has been provided in the project’s MS2 Application Scenario Outlines document.This study is part of the RAGE project.
