    NEEDS ANALYSIS OF LECTURER AND EMPLOYEE TRAINING PROGRAM AT TARBIYAH AND TEACHER TRAINING FACULTY OF UIN ALAUDDIN MAKASSAR

    This research aims to investigate lecturers’ and employee’ competencies of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty at UIN Alauddin Makassar and assess the training program needs for 2023–2024. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with survey techniques. The population was the lecturers and employees of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Alauddin Makassar, consisting of 113 lecturers and 35 employees. The instruments used were Likert scale questionnaires and documentation from the Quality Assurance Commission of Tarbiyah dan Teacher Training Faculty. The results of the study indicated that various training programs were attended by lecturers and employees held by UIN Alauddin Makassar and other agencies. The training needs for lecturers are adjusted to the competencies that must be possessed, namely pedagogical, professional, and social, as well as the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education. Employee training should focus on increasing knowledge and skills according to job descriptions. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi dosen dan pegawai Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar serta mengkaji kebutuhan program pelatihan tahun 2023–2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survey. Populasi penelitian ini adalah dosen dan pegawai Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar yang terdiri dari 113 dosen dan 35 pegawai. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket skala Likert dan dokumentasi dari Komite Penjaminan Mutu (KPM) Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa berbagai program pelatihan diikuti oleh dosen dan pegawai yang diadakan oleh UIN Alauddin Makassar dan instansi lainnya. Kebutuhan pelatihan bagi dosen disesuaikan dengan kompetensi yang harus dimiliki yaitu pedagogik, profesional, dan sosial, serta pelaksanaan tri dharma perguruan tinggi. Pelatihan karyawan harus fokus pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sesuai dengan deskripsi pekerjaan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja dan kompetensi pegawai dalam lingkup Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar, serta menganalisis kebutuhan program pelatihan untuk periode tahun 2023-2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan teknik survei. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional dosen masih dalam kategori sangat baik, kinerja pegawai juga sangat baik. Variasi program pelatihan yang diikuti pegawai sangat beragam dengan pelaksana kegiatan pelatihan adalah UIN Alauddin Makassar dan instansi lain di luar UIN Alauddin Makassar. Dosen cukup aktif mencari pelatihan yang diselenggarakan di luar UIN Alauddin Makassar untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mereka. Pelatihan yang diikuti oleh staf di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan dalam hasil observasi tidak merata dan belum mencapai ketentuan yaitu 20 jam per pegawai. Untuk itu, butuh perhatian pimpinan untuk memberikan program pelatihan secara merata bagi staf agar dapat meningkatkan kompetensi yang diperoleh melalui program pelatihan. Program pelatihan-pelatihan yang sebaiknya perlu dilaksanakan didasarkan pada kebutuhan dosen di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar periode tahun selanjutnya yakni berkaitan tentang pelatihan kemampuan akademik atau keilmuan dan pengembangan karir. Adapun untuk pegawai berkaitan tentang peningkatan keterampilan sesuai dengan jabatan.&nbsp

    The Implementation of Tri Dharma of Higher Education In Strengthening MSMEs Sector During The Covid-19 Pandemic

    This study aims to investigate the contribution of the implementation of tri dharma of UIN Alauddin Makassar in the context of strengthening the MSMEs sector during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data analysis technique employed was a qualitative method using an analytical instrument of Likert scale, categorization with three criteria, tracing and analyzing documents of the implementation of researches and services carried out by UIN Alauddin Makassar. In this study, the sample was MSMEs in collaboration with UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research findings indicated that MSMEs were facing a decline in revenue and required support to adapt to the pandemic situations. Meanwhile, the form of empowering MSMEs through implementing research results and community services carried out by the academic communities of UIN Alauddin Makassar was still very few or in the adequate category. The implementation of tri dharma ended with the preparation of outputs, but the outcomes were still few.     Abstract:The essence of human creation in Islamic perspective refers to the text of the Koran in terms of khalaqa (creating) and ja’ala (making). Both elements can grow through the educational process. This perspective points that humans are naturally pedagogical beings with the potential for education. This paper aims at elaborating the essence of humans as pedagogic creatures, both in Islamic and Western views. This study relied on library research for its findings. The information was gathered from a variety of books and papers on the subject. In the Islamic view, the level of education development, along with the pedagogical process that initiates it, involves informal, formal, and non-formal education. However, in the Western view, there are two categories, namely navitism and behaviorism.Abstrak:Hakekat penciptaan manusia dalam perspektif Islam dengan merujuk pada nash Alquran pada istilah khalaqa (menciptakan) dan  ja’ala (menjadikan). Kedua unsur itu dapat berkembang melalui proses pendidikan. Perspektif ini menyatakan bahwa manusia secara fithrawi disebut sebagai makhluk paedagogiek dengan potensi untuk dapat dididik dan dapat mendidik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hakekat penciptaan manusia sebagai makhluk paedagogiek, baik dalam pandangan Islam maupun Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan. Data pada penelitian ini diambil dari berbagai buku dan artikel yang berkaitan dengan topik tersebut. Dalam pandangan Islam, tingkat perkembangan pendidikan manusia, seiring dengan proses paedagogis yang mengintarinya meliputi pendidikan informal, formal, dan non formal.     Tulisan ini membahas tentang peranan Mata kuliah Statistika dalam Memahami Mata Kuliah Metodologi Penelitian bagi Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Tarbiyah  dan  Keguruan  UIN  Alauddin  Makassar.  Desain  penelitian  yang  digunakan adalah penelitian korelasional dengan dua variabel yaitu pembelajaran Statistika dan pembelajaran   Metodologi   Penelitian.   Adapun   populasi   dari  penelitian   ini   adalah mahasiswa  Jurusan  Pendidikan  Matematika Fakultas  Tarbiyah  dan  Keguruan  UIN Alauddin Makassar dan sampel adalah 10% kali besarnya populasi. Instrumen yang digunakan  adalah dokumentasi  dan  wawancara.  Teknik  analisis  data  yaitu  statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian didapatkan signifikansi sebesar 0,119>0,05, maka H0 diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada korelasi yang signifikan antara pembelajaran statistika dengan metodologi penelitian. Selanjutnya didapatkan nilai t hitung < t tabel (1,604 < 2,042), maka H0  diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran Statistika bagi mahasiswa dalam memahami Metodologi Penelitian pada Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassa

    This paper contains the results of the research which aimed to determine the ef-fect of the implementation of classroom management on students learning beha-vior at the Department of Islamic Education Management at Tarbiyah and Tea-ching Faculty of UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research approach was quantita-tive with the type of Ex Post Facto and the model of research was descriptive cor-relational study. The population of the research was all of the students of the De-partment of Islamic Education Management of Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty. The sample consisted of 31 students. The methods that were used in the data col-lection was a questionnaire on the implementation of classroom management and a scale of learning behavior. Data analysis techniques used was simple linear reg-ression formula. The results of the research pointed-out that there was a positive correlation between the implementation of classroom management and students learning behavior. This means that the better the implementation of class mana-gement, the better the student learning behavior

    This study will discuss stakeholder’s satisfaction with the performance of KI/MPI graduates at the Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of UIN Alauddin Makassar. Then try to find out the criteria that stakeholders want. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this study were MPI program graduates who were in the district. Jeneponto, Kab. Selayar, Kab. Pinrang, Makassar City, Kab. Barru, and the City of Parepare. The technique used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale instrument. The analysis used is descriptive quantitative. The criteria that the stakeholders want for graduates of the Islamic Education Management Study Program (MPI), Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Alauddin Makassar are: (1) responsibility; (2) productive; (3) target orientation or results; (4) high motivation; (5) patient and work hard; (6) think and act positively; and (7) maintain relationships with peers

    Public health concerns surrounding the cVDPV2 outbreak in Africa: Strategies for prevention and control with a special focus on Nigeria

    Background and Aim: Poliovirus is a global health issue that affects children in different parts of the world. Despite the efforts of national, international, and nongovernmental organizations to eradicate the disease, it is re-emerging in Africa due to poor sanitation, vaccine hesitancy, new ways of transmission, and poor surveillance among others. Circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) is a major step in eradicating poliovirus and preventing outbreaks in developing countries. Strengthening African healthcare systems, increasing surveillance, hygiene and sanitation, and proper mass vaccination to achieve herd immunity are required in the fight against polio disease. This paper discusses the outbreak of cVDPV2, public health challenges, and recommendations in Africa with a special emphasis on Nigeria. Methods: We searched for articles documenting the incidence of cVDPV2 in Nigeria and other African countries on Pubmed, Google Scholar, and Scopus. Results: A total of 68 distinct cVDPV2 genetic emergences were found across 34 nations between April 2016 to December 2020, and in Nigeria, three cVDPV2 emergences were found. Also, 1596 instances of acute flaccid paralysis linked to cVDPV2 outbreaks were reported in four areas of the World Health Organization where Africa contributed 962 cases out of 1596 cases. Available data indicate that Africa has the most cVDPV2 cases and is associated with various challenges like the unidentified virus source, poor sanitation system, and inability to achieve herd immunity of the cVDPV2 vaccine. Conclusion: Collaborative efforts of stakeholders are crucial in combating infectious diseases, especially those transmitted via environments such as water and air, like poliovirus. Therefore, a collaboration between environmental health workers, veterinarians, community health workers, laboratory scientists, policymakers, and other professionals is required

    DEVELOPMENT OF GEOGEBRA SOFTWARE BASED ON MATHEMATICS LEARNING MEDIA

     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Software GeoGebra pada materi geometri yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan mengacu pada model 4D oleh Thiagarajan yang telah dimodifikasi yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Produk yang dikembangkan yaitu media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Software GeoGebra. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 5 Enrekang dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi ahli, angket respon sisiwa, angket respon guru, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa, dan tes hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa (1) Hasil validasi media pembelajaran yaitu M=3,5, RPP M=3,56, LKS M=3,62, dan THB M=3,55 yang berarti “sangat valid”. Adapun hasil validasi petunjuk penggunaan media yaitu M=3,28, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa M=3,44, angket respon siswa M=3,37 yang berarti “valid”, dan angket respon guru M=3,37; (2) Praktis berdasarkan analisis data respon siswa terdapat 80% siswa yang memberi respon positif, sedangkan guru memberikan respon positif 100%; (3) Efektif berdasarkan pengamatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dalam kategori sangat baik yakni 80% dan tes hasil belajar berada dalam kategori tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 76,75 dari skor ideal 100. Oleh karena itu, pada tahap uji coba yang dilaksanakan, media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Software GeoGebra pada materi geometri telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif
