Entropy function spaces and interpolation

We associate to every function space, and to every entropy function E, a scale of spaces Λp,q (E) similar to the classical Lorentz spaces Lp,q. Necessary and sufficient conditions for they to be normed spaces are proved, their role in real interpolation theory is analyzed, and a number of applications to functional and interpolation properties of several variants of Lorentz spaces and entropy spaces are given

D-band (110-170 GHz) InP gunn devices

This paper reports on the development of InP Gunn sources for operation in the D-band (110-170 GHz). n+-n-n+ structures with flat doping as well as graded doping profiles have been considered. Oscillations were obtained at 108.3 GHz from a 1 [mu]m structure with a uniform n doping of 2.5 x 1016 cm-3. The CW RF output power was 33 mW. A 1 [mu]m graded structure with an n doping increasing linearly from 7.5 x 1015 to 2.0 x 1016 cm-3 has resulted in 20 mW at 120 GHz and 10 mW at 136 GHz. These results are believed to correspond to a fundamental mode operation and represent the state-of-the-art performance from InP Gunn devices at these frequencies. This improvement in performance is attributed in part to a processing technique based on the use of etch-stop layers and InGaAs cap layers. An etch-stop layer allows low-profile mesas (2-3 [mu]m) and InGaAs cap layers help reduce the contact resistance, thus minimizing series resistances in the device. In addition, a physical model based on the Monte Carlo method was developed to aid in the design of structures for high frequency operation. (II): Mr=947.07, triclinic, Pl, a=12.666(7), b=10.595(6), c=6.572(5)A, a=98.30(2), = 97.04(2), = 99.84(2)º, V=850(2)A3, Z=1, Dx=1.85 Mg m-3, Mo Ka, =0.71069 A, µ=1.958 mm-1, F(000)=490, 298 K, R=0.071 for 1879 reflections. (I) was solved by direct methods, using MULTAN and DIRDIF, (II) by the heavy-atom method. The four-membered Pd, S, Pd, S rings have a syn-exo conformation, with dihedral angles between the S, Pd, S planes of 154.4(2) and 133.0(3)º for (I) and (II), respectively

The Wilson renormalization group for low x physics: towards the high density regime

We continue the study of the effective action for low $x$ physics based on a Wilson renormalization group approach. We express the full nonlinear renormalization group equation in terms of the average value and the average fluctuation of extra color charge density generated by integrating out gluons with intermediate values of $x$. This form clearly exhibits the nature of the phenomena driving the evolution and should serve as the basis of the analysis of saturation effects at high gluon density at small $x$.Comment: 14 pages, late
