Discrete singular integrals in a half-space

We consider Calderon -- Zygmund singular integral in the discrete half-space hZ+mh{\bf Z}^m_{+}, where Zm{\bf Z}^m is entire lattice (h>0h>0) in Rm{\bf R}^m, and prove that the discrete singular integral operator is invertible in L2(hZ+mL_2(h{\bf Z}^m_{+}) iff such is its continual analogue. The key point for this consideration takes solvability theory of so-called periodic Riemann boundary problem, which is constructed by authors.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur

Longest increasing subsequence as expectation of a simple nonlinear stochastic PDE with a low noise intensity

We report some new observation concerning the statistics of Longest Increasing Subsequences (LIS). We show that the expectation of LIS, its variance, and apparently the full distribution function appears in statistical analysis of some simple nonlinear stochastic partial differential equation (SPDE) in the limit of very low noise intensity.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, reference adde

Adsorption and two-body recombination of atomic hydrogen on 3^3He-4^4He mixture films

We present the first systematic measurement of the binding energy EaE_a of hydrogen atoms to the surface of saturated 3^3He-4^4He mixture films. EaE_a is found to decrease almost linearly from 1.14(1) K down to 0.39(1) K, when the population of the ground surface state of 3^3He grows from zero to 6×10146\times10^{14} cm2^{-2}, yielding the value 1.2(1)×10151.2(1)\times 10^{-15} K cm2^2 for the mean-field parameter of H-3^3He interaction in 2D. The experiments were carried out with overall 3^3He concentrations ranging from 0.1 ppm to 5 % as well as with commercial and isotopically purified 4^4He at temperatures 70...400 mK. Measuring by ESR the rate constants KaaK_{aa} and KabK_{ab} for second-order recombination of hydrogen atoms in hyperfine states aa and bb we find the ratio Kab/KaaK_{ab}/K_{aa} to be independent of the 3^3He content and to grow with temperature.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, all zipped in a sigle file. Approach to the choice of modernization directions for the system of geodynamic monitoring in cases of using components intensity uncertainty

    Get PDF
The problem of the optimum choice of the modernization directions for geodynamic monitoring systems, which is solved in the conditions of changing the parameters of natural-technical systems (NTS) is considered in the work. The solution of the task is creating a list of the components modernization directions and validate ranking the most effective of them. As criterion of modernization the value of decrease in resource intensity of subsystem application is usin

    Tomography of Quantum Operations

    Get PDF
Quantum operations describe any state change allowed in quantum mechanics, including the evolution of an open system or the state change due to a measurement. In this letter we present a general method based on quantum tomography for measuring experimentally the matrix elements of an arbitrary quantum operation. As input the method needs only a single entangled state. The feasibility of the technique for the electromagnetic field is shown, and the experimental setup is illustrated based on homodyne tomography of a twin-beam.Comment: Submitted to Phys. Rev. Linear magnetoresistance in compensated graphene bilayer

    Get PDF
We report a nonsaturating linear magnetoresistance in charge-compensated bilayer graphene in a temperature range from 1.5 to 150 K. The observed linear magnetoresistance disappears away from charge neutrality ruling out the traditional explanation of the effect in terms of the classical random resistor network model. We show that experimental results qualitatively agree with a phenomenological two-fluid model taking into account electron-hole recombination and finite-size sample geometry

This article is devoted to the application of the method of automatic phase distortion compensation of direct digital synthesizers (DDSs) to improve the spectral characteristics of signal generators of radio transmitters of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) operating as part of flying ad-hoc networks (FANET) in "smart cities

An integrated approach to the construction of energy-saving trigeneration systems for objects of the agro-industrial complex

    Get PDF
This work is devoted to a comprehensive approach to the construction of energy-saving systems for agro-industrial complex objects as well as their mathematical description and consideration of possible approaches to analysis. The general problem of energy saving is identified and its special relevance for the agro-industrial complex (AIC) is noted. The prospects of an approach to solving this problem based on the principle of trigeneration, based on the simultaneous generation of electricity (using the direct photoelectric method), as well as heat and cold (using the thermoelectric method), are show
