Influence of Job Satisfaction on Affective Commitment Among Bank Employees
This paper explores !he influence of job satisfaction towards level of affective commitment among bank
employees. Influence of job satisfaction can be related to what the erripJoyees like or inspire quality that
lies within bank employees that will lead to higheratfective commitment. It is extremely important for
bank employees to have high level of job satisfaction in order for the bank: to have high productivity of
employees and at the same time maintain the service standard as majority of the are facing customers
on their day-to-day banking operations. Banking services is built on trust and also the level of standard
etiquette provided by the bank. employees and the standard banking operations itself. Banks in Malaysia
still usc employccs' functions to catcrthcir services to customers. In certain countries, the bank employees'
usage is very minimal as compared to Malaysia's banking sector. Moreover, bank employees are very
essential to the banking service since majority of them perfonn banking duties, credit administrntion. and'
call centerpersonnels. Questionnaires were handed to bank employees in the northern states of Malaysia and
were analysed using SPSS. Bank employees indicated job satisfaction was associated with their affective
commitment. These findings further have an impact on bank employees and banks' top management
Memahami Meme Sebagai Seloka Harian: Impak Dimensi Sosiobudaya Dan Politik
Warranty and its effect towards customer satisfaction in Malaysia’s electronic industry / Mohd Rizaimy Shaharudin...[et al.]
This study aims to determine the factors affecting customer satisfaction in
after-sales service. It helps to extend the understanding on warranty and its
influence towards customers’ satisfaction, an important element in retaining
a profitable business relationship with the customer. To date, there have
been very minimal studies conducted on the after-sales service in business
organizations particularly the electronic industry in Malaysia. Therefore,
from the data presented in this study, it can be expected that the findings can
benefit both the industrial community and the academia by giving a new
source of ideas and information. Results indicated to confirm on the earlier
literature that there was a strong relationship between warranty and
customer satisfaction in either the consumer or the business market
environment. Future research should focus on the similar study of factors
affecting customer satisfaction in after-sales service in other prominent
industries such as automotive, construction and other manufacturing as
well as service sectors
Social Media Dependency and Work-Related Attitudes with Religiosity Mediation
The paper explores the social media dependency and work-related attitudes about religiosity as a mediator among employees in public and private organizations. Not many studies explore the above variables especially in the context of Malaysian employees. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed among employees in the public and private organizations in the selected major cities in the country. Data analyses are conducted using SPSS, namely reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and mediation analysis. Interestingly, the paper only discovers religiosity has a positive impact on work-related attitudes among employees in public and private organizations. Unfortunately, the other hypotheses are not supported and no mediation of religiosity on social media dependency and work-related attitudes was discovered. Further analysis is conducted on religiosity as moderator; the result also shows no moderation of religiosity on social media dependency and work-related attitudes. Discussions on the results are elaborated accordingly
The effect of graphite flakes (GFs) and hybrid graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) particles to the mechanical properties of epoxy composites
This paper reports the effects of epoxy when reinforced with graphite flakes (GFs) and was compared to epoxy reinforced by hybrid reinforcements consisted of graphite flakes (GFs) and grapheme nanoplatelets (GNPs). DGEBA, the type of epoxy which has been used in this work was added with 2, 4 and 6 wt.% of reinforcement respectively, relative to the total weight of the mixture. Nanocomposites was prepared using mechanical stirrer, stirred at 2000 rpm for 30 minutes followed by curing in the oven. The flexural testing shows that the epoxy/GFs composites has higher modulus compared to epoxy/GFs+GNPs. At 4wt.% filler loading, epoxy containing GFs exhibited 132% enhancement of modulus relative to neat epoxy. At the same filler amount, epoxy containing GFs+GNPs demonstrated slightly lower magnitude than system
containing GFs with only 27% increase in modulus. However, addition of higher filler loading to the epoxy resin caused the modulus to decrease in magnitude speculated due to agglomeration of particles within the host matrix. The Charpy impact testing indicated similar pattern with
epoxy/GFs system exhibited higher capability in absorbing energy than epoxy/GFs+GNPs where the peak was obtained at 4wt.% filler loading. At this amount of filler, 18.36 J/m increase in energy absorbed was recorded for epoxy/GFs compared to 2.13 J/m increased for epoxy/GFs+GNPs composite. Higher amount of filler loading added into epoxy only deteriorate the impact energy absorb by the sample. The hardness test show similar pattern of result with epoxy/GFs shows higher resistance in scratching compared to epoxy/GFs+GNPs
Legal considerations on OTEC deployment in Malaysia
It is predicted that the world’s primary energy demand would rise to 37% higher by the year 2040, and this would consequently increase current pressures on the global energy system. This would in turn make renewable energy more viable against non-depletable and sustainable energy. Malaysia has made an effort to meet this energy forecast by reducing the reliance on biomass for energy production, and is committed in making it a reality. The ocean thermal energy-driven development based on the ocean thermal energy conversion technology (OTEC) has great potential in leading the Malaysian renewable energy industry. However, this cannot effectively take place until certain legal impediments are identified. Thus, a legal analysis must be conducted to provide the Malaysian government or any government authority in the world to be aware of such legal impediments in ensuring success of their OTEC venture. Given the industry is at its infant stage, such a legal review is hoped to eventually promote further legal analysis on OTEC-related activities
Impact of opioid-free analgesia on pain severity and patient satisfaction after discharge from surgery: multispecialty, prospective cohort study in 25 countries
Background: Balancing opioid stewardship and the need for adequate analgesia following discharge after surgery is challenging. This study aimed to compare the outcomes for patients discharged with opioid versus opioid-free analgesia after common surgical procedures. Methods: This international, multicentre, prospective cohort study collected data from patients undergoing common acute and elective general surgical, urological, gynaecological, and orthopaedic procedures. The primary outcomes were patient-reported time in severe pain measured on a numerical analogue scale from 0 to 100% and patient-reported satisfaction with pain relief during the first week following discharge. Data were collected by in-hospital chart review and patient telephone interview 1 week after discharge. Results: The study recruited 4273 patients from 144 centres in 25 countries; 1311 patients (30.7%) were prescribed opioid analgesia at discharge. Patients reported being in severe pain for 10 (i.q.r. 1-30)% of the first week after discharge and rated satisfaction with analgesia as 90 (i.q.r. 80-100) of 100. After adjustment for confounders, opioid analgesia on discharge was independently associated with increased pain severity (risk ratio 1.52, 95% c.i. 1.31 to 1.76; P < 0.001) and re-presentation to healthcare providers owing to side-effects of medication (OR 2.38, 95% c.i. 1.36 to 4.17; P = 0.004), but not with satisfaction with analgesia (beta coefficient 0.92, 95% c.i. -1.52 to 3.36; P = 0.468) compared with opioid-free analgesia. Although opioid prescribing varied greatly between high-income and low- and middle-income countries, patient-reported outcomes did not. Conclusion: Opioid analgesia prescription on surgical discharge is associated with a higher risk of re-presentation owing to side-effects of medication and increased patient-reported pain, but not with changes in patient-reported satisfaction. Opioid-free discharge analgesia should be adopted routinely
