    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur Berbantuan Media Audiovisual Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Terpadu Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh

    Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat menciptakan suasana belajar aktif adalah model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur berbantuan media Audiovisual. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimanakah: (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa; (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran; (3) Keterampilan Guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran; (4) Respon siswa setelah mengituki pembelajaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar soal, lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar pengamatan keterampilan guru, dan lembar respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Persentase ketuntasan secara individual meningkat dari 23 siswa menjadi 28 siswa yang tuntas belajar, persentase ketuntasan klasikal pun meningkat dari 60% menjadi 90%; (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa antara siklus I sampai siklus II telah mencerminkan penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur berbantuan media Audiovisual, pada siklus satu dari 12 aktivitas diperoleh 6 aktivitas yang sudah sesuai, sementara pada siklus kedua aktivitas guru maupun aktivitas siswa sudah mengalami Perubahan lebih baik dan sudah dikatagorikan sesuai dengan standar waktu yang ditetapkan; (3)Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur berbantuan media Audiovisual meningkat dari perolehan skor rata-rata 2,58 dengan katagori sedang menjadi 3,29 dengan katagori baik; dan (4)Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur berbantuan media Audiovisual dapat dikatakan baik yaitu 96,6 persen dari 30 siswa berpendapat bahwa dengan belajar melalui pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Kepala Bernomor Struktur berbantuan media Audiovisual siswa dapat memahami materi yang telah mereka ikuti

    The main issue to be explored in this article is how unsignificant a higher education in performing social services activities. The locus of this study is IAIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Barriers that occur when conducting social services activities including conceptual and methodological obstacles when implementing community service programs in the field. Conceptually, social services programs simply translated into college students social field work, while the methodology of field work does not bring any new creativity or innovation. Communities demand that the Islamic university to give social services with concrete actions such as guidance for religious teachers, guidance in the management and implementation of zakat and management of mosque, as well as technical assistance in carrying out socio-economic activities.     Hydrophobicity properties of graphite and reduced graphene oxide of the polysulfone (PSf) mixed matrix membrane

    Hydrophobicity properties of graphite and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) (from exfoliated graphite/rGO) towards PSf polymer membrane characteristic and properties at different additives weight concentrations (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 wt. %) were investigated. Both PSF/graphite and PSf/rGO membranes were characterized in term of hydrophobicity, surface bonding, surface roughness and porosity. FTIR peaks revealed that membrane with graphite and reduced graphene oxide nearly diminished their O-H bonding which was opposite to the graphene oxide peak that shows a strong O-H bonding as increased exfoliated times. These results were in line with the contact angle results that showed strong hydrophobicity of graphite and reduced graphene oxide membranes as increased these additives concentration. The effect of strong hydrophobicity in these membranes also has resulted in smoother surface roughness compared to pristine PSf membrane. Further investigation of the performance of water flux also proved that both above membranes have strong hydrophobic effect, with the lowest pure water flux rate (L/m2h) was given by PSf/rGO 3% membrane at 19.2437 L/m2h

    The problem in this research is the influence of students' motivation and background of socio-economic status of parents on the IPS learning outcomes economy class VIII student of SMP. This research was conducted at the District 1 Junior High School Lumar Bengkayang , using descriptive and quantitative approaches . Total population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Subdistrict Lumar Bengkayang numbering 70 students of the school year 2012/2013 , and the full study sample . Tools used for data collection are : Guidelines for the interview ; questionnaires and documentation . Based on the results of multiple regression statistical tests are positive and significant influence students' motivation and background of socio-economic status of parents on learning outcomes Economic IPS of students of class VIII SMP either simultaneously or partially with significance probabilities are all less than 0.05 ?

    Genetic relationships between three indigenous cattle breeds in Mozambique

    This study provides the first account of genetic relationships between three indigenous cattle breeds from Mozambique. Forty-two blood group factors and six blood proteins revealed genetic variation of 84% (Angone), 88% (Bovine de Tete) and 90% (Landim) at the loci studied. Average heterozygosity values ranged from 33% for Angone and Bovine de Tete to 35% for the Landim. The genetic distance was greatest between the Landim and both the Bovine de Tete and the Angone breeds, whereas the smallest genetic distance was observed between the Bovine de Tete and the Angone. These results show the intermediate relationship of Bovine de Tete with the Angone and Landim breeds and show that the Bovine de Tete is an admixture of taurine and indicus genes.     Effect of phosphorus and potassium on the growth and yield of French bean

    An experiment was conducted at the Agronomy Field Laboratory of the Department of Agronomy, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh to investigate the yield response of French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) as affected by phosphorus and potassium management. The experiment consisted of two factors. Factor A: Phosphorus fertilizer (4 levels) viz. P1=15Kg P ha-1, P2=20 Kg P ha-1 and P3=25 Kg P ha-1 , P4=35 Kg P ha-1 and factor B: Potassium fertilizer (4 levels) viz. K1=0 Kg K ha-1, K2=20 Kg K ha-1, K3=30 Kg K ha-1 and K4=40 Kg K ha-1. The variety BARI Jharsheem-3 was used in this experiment as the test crop. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. In case of phosphorus @ 25 kg ha-1  the highest number of pods plant-1 (4.96), pod length (13.34 cm), number of seeds pod-1 (4.54), weight of 1000-seed (431.21 g), seed yield (1.33 t ha-1), stover yield (1.53 t ha-1), biological yield (2.86 t ha-1) and harvest index 46.50%  were found. In case of potassium @ 40 kg ha-1, he highest number of pods plant-1 (5.80), pod length (14.89 cm), number of seeds pod-1 (4.24), weight of 1000-seed (430.37 g), seed yield (1.53 t ha-1 ), stover yield (1.46 t ha-1 ), biological yield (2.99 t ha-1) and harvest index 51.17% were found. Interaction effect of phosphorus and potassium the highest  number of pods plant-1 (5.18), pod length (13.40 cm), number of seeds pod-1 (4.30), weight of 1000-seed (430.53 g), seed yield (1.40 t ha-1 ), stover yield (1.60 t ha-1 ), biological yield (3.00 t ha-1 ) and harvest index 46.66% were recorded from P @ 25 kg ha-1 and K @ 40 kg ha-1. However, from the study it can be concluded that application of P @ 25 kg ha-1 and K @ 40 kg ha-1 was the most suitable combination for better yield of French bean

    Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji karakter bangunan Masjid Tuo Kayu Jao yang meliputi karakter visual, spasial, struktural bangunan, dan menentukan strategi arahan pelestarian bangunan Masjid Tuo Kayu Jao. Metode analisis data yang digunakan pada studi ini, yaitu metode deskriptif analisis, evaluatif, dan development.Karakter visual memperhatikan keseluruhan elemen yang membentuk fasade eksterior maupun interior dari Masjid Tuo Kayu Jao, seperti gaya bangunan, pintu, jendela, dan dinding. Karakter struktural dengan menganalisa susunan struktur yang ada pada Masjid Tuo Kayu Jao, mulai dari struktur bawah hingga struktur bagian atas bangunan. Dari hasil analisa ketiga karakter tersebut, nantinya dapat ditentukan hasil berupa arahan pelestarian yang sesuai dengan setiap elemen-elemen bangunan yang ada di Masjid Tuo Kayu Jao

    Sustainable waste management via incineration system: an Islamic outlook for conservation of the environment

    This paper would firstly examine solid waste management currently experienced in Malaysia with special concentration given to waste incineration. Its function and benefits entailed from this system shall then be identified. This paper attempts to emphasize this notion within the Islamic perspective, stressing on the needs to conserve the environment. This study adopts a qualitative approach where the conceptual authoritative literature in the related field is utilized based on content analysis. The related principles of Islamic jurisprudencecarefully examined along with the Quranic verses depicting on this issue This study further submits that incinerating waste could mitigate environmental impact that might otherwise arise from waste.     Generation of Q-switched thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) using differentsaturable absorbers

    A Q-switched Thulium-doped Fiber Laser (TDFL) operating at approximately 2 µm wavelength is successfully generated by using four different saturable absorbers (SAs) which are nitrogen-doped graphene in PVA (NG:PVA), nitrogen-doped graphene in PEO (NG:PEO), single-walled carbon nanotube in PVA (SWCNT:PVA), and high pressure carbon monoxide carbon nanotube in PVA (CNTHiPCO:PVA). The SAs integrated in the cavity were able to provide the real saturable absorption in modulating the intra-cavity losses. SWCNT gives the best results with the highest repetition rate and lowest pulse width of 57.45 kHz and 1.958 nJ correspondingly as compared to the other three SAs
