A certain critical density property for invariant Harnack inequalities in H-type groups

We consider second order linear degenerate-elliptic operators which are elliptic with respect to horizontal directions generating a stratified algebra of H-type. Extending a result by Guti\'errez and Tournier for the Heisenberg group, we prove a critical density estimate by assuming a condition of Cordes-Landis type. We then deduce an invariant Harnack inequality for the non-negative solutions from a result by Di Fazio, Guti\'errez, and Lanconelli.Comment: 13 page

The purpose of this research is to find out the symbolic meaning of the Guti fu ceremony for the Nangakeo people. This problem was examined using the theory of symbolic interaction initiated by Stryker. The method used in this study is the qualitative method. With a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. While data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data exposure, conclusion drawing, or verification. The results of this study showed that the culture of haircuts (Guti fu) must be implemented in every new family that is blessed with offspring but for the first baby in one family as a symbolic sign to protect the child from the influence of the outside world as a result of the aspects of the association, mentality, character, health, and others. And the meaning contained in the ceremony Guti fu is religious, social meaning, and the meaning of preservation. To carry out the ceremony related to guti fu culture in need of equipment that has a special meaning, so that the baby does not experience obstacles to the smoothness of the ceremony guti fu, because this ceremony is one form of belief that is passed down through generations. In this case, the guti fu ceremony became one of the traditional cultural traditions of nangakeo people that must be carried out in the family

Adjoints of composition operators with rational symbol

Building on techniques developed by Cowen and Gallardo-Guti\'{e}rrez, we find a concrete formula for the adjoint of a composition operator with rational symbol acting on the Hardy space H2H^{2}. We consider some specific examples, comparing our formula with several results that were previously known.Comment: 14 page

Countable dense homogeneous filters and the Menger covering property

In this note we present a ZFC construction of a non-meager filter which fails to be countable dense homogeneous. This answers a question of Hern\'andez-Guti\'errez and Hru\v{s}\'ak. The method of the proof also allows us to obtain a metrizable Baire topological group which is strongly locally homogeneous but not countable dense homogeneous.Comment: 8 page

In 2008, Mosaic released the findings of a three-year study conducted by the University of Michigan Department of Psychology, The Detroit Initiative and area-Detroit community based organizations. The study identifies and assesses the internationally acclaimed, professional performing arts training program's goals, practice methods, and expected outcome. Mosaic seeks to empower young people with the tools necessary to create positive changes in their lives and communities by helping them to develop patterns of cooperation, disciplined work habits and effective problem-solving skills through the creation of high-quality, professional-level performances of theatre and music. By highlighting the immense talent of young Detroiters, Mosaic helps to create positive peer role models and young people who can view a more positive future for themselves and for their community

    Post-training discriminative pruning for RBMs

    Get PDF
One of the major challenges in the area of artificial neural networks is the identification of a suitable architecture for a specific problem. Choosing an unsuitable topology can exponentially increase the training cost, and even hinder network convergence. On the other hand, recent research indicates that larger or deeper nets can map the problem features into a more appropriate space, and thereby improve the classification process, thus leading to an apparent dichotomy. In this regard, it is interesting to inquire whether independent measures, such as mutual information, could provide a clue to finding the most discriminative neurons in a network. In the present work we explore this question in the context of Restricted Boltzmann Machines, by employing different measures to realize post-training pruning. The neurons which are determined by each measure to be the most discriminative, are combined and a classifier is applied to the ensuing network to determine its usefulness. We find that two measures in particular seem to be good indicators of the most discriminative neurons, producing savings of generally more than 50% of the neurons, while maintaining an acceptable error rate. Further, it is borne out that starting with a larger network architecture and then pruning is more advantageous than using a smaller network to begin with. Finally, a quantitative index is introduced which can provide information on choosing a suitable pruned network.Fil: Sánchez Gutiérrez, Máximo. STANDARDIZATION OF TALISADI CHOORNA AND GUTI CONTAINING SYNTHETIC VANSHLOCHAN

    Get PDF
Talisadi choorna and Guti is routinely used in the treatment of Shwas. Vanshlochan is an important ingredient of Talisadi Choorna and Guti. But Vanshlochan has become extinct due to problems in procurement and availability. It is formed only after twelve years of flowering period in hollow internodes of Bamboo. Hence its synthetic substitute is routinely used in Ayurvedic practice and pharmacy. This substitution of natural by synthetic Vanshlochan, whether results in any change in therapeutic activity is not yet known. In Ayurvedic texts preparation of Guti from choorna makes it Laghu and easy to digest is mentioned In the present study analysis of synthetic Vanshlochan was done. X-ray diffraction of synthetic Vanshlochan emitted a blurred peak at 20 degree. This suggests that the sample was amorphous. Surface electron microscopy images were obtained at 10um with resolution of 1000 and 2500. Elemental analysis was done with the help of spot tests, which showed presence of Sodium, phosphorus, potassium. Iron was detected quantitatively with the help of photo-electric calorimeter. Energy dispersive analysis was done in order to confirm the presence of elements detected in chemical analysis. Along with sodium, potassium and phosphorus, other elements like aluminium, silica, calcium, iron, oxygen were detected. In thermogravimetric analysis weight loss of synthetic Vanshlochan was gradual from 37 degree to 610 degree. At 610 degree the weight loss was maximum. From 610 degree to 700 degree, weight of the sample remained constant. This established the thermal stability of the sample at 610 degree. Talisadi choorna was manufactured according to API standards. Values obtained from the quality control tests performed on Choorna were within standard limits. Process of rolling Guti leads to size and weight variation. Hence tablets of the mixture were prepared. For preparation of tablet, mixture was transformed into granules. Magnesium stearate was added to the granules as a lubricant to avoid friction during tableting. As magnesium stearate is an excipient it does not affect therapeutic action of Guti. Values obtained from quality control tests performed on tablets were within standard limits.
