    Introducing learning creative mathematical activity for students in extra mathematics teaching

    The objective of the research is determined by the need to introduce creative learning mathematics activities for school students, because that is one of the ways of ensuring the effective acquisition of knowledge at the inter-subject level and further successful adaptation while choosing a future career. Moreover, the resources of extra mathematics teaching at a general secondary school can be widely used. Thus, the purpose of the research is a) studying the theoretical basis for stimulating creative learning mathematics activities for the students and b) developing the teaching techniques of this stimulation in extra mathematics teaching at general secondary schools. The leading methods are a) modeling the task systems ensuring the development of the five types of learning activities: reproductive, productive, research, project, and project-research and b) the system analysis of the selections of experimental data based on estimating three criteria: fluency - the ability to generate a lot of ideas; flexibility - the ability to produce different ideas; ingenuity - the ability to react unconventionally. The experimental research has been carried out since 2001 and the problem systems characteristic of the five types of learning activities have been used. Subsequently, methodological approaches in extra mathematics teaching have been developed introducing creative mathematics activities for students

    Development of meta-subject competencies of the 7-9 grades basic school students through the implementation of interdisciplinary mathematical courses

The article is aimed at describing one of the possible interdisciplinary courses for students of the 7-9 classes of the basic school connecting mathematics with natural sciences and the study of such courses role in the formation and development of meta-subject competencies of students. The leading method for this is the modeling of interdisciplinary courses, the main tools for the development of meta-subject competence in which are the interdisciplinary character of the content, including open and partially open type tasks in the course structure and the organization of project activities of schoolchildren in the field of studying mathematics and related disciplines. As a result of the research conducted by the authors they worked out several author's interdisciplinary courses, among them a special place is taken by the course "Mathematics in Natural sciences" for the classes of the natural-science profile. It is suggested in it to consider mathematical questions when applying them to the material of related disciplines both through the study of theoretical material and in the process of solving problems, including the open type, and involving schoolchildren in the project of interdisciplinary activity. Practical use of the interdisciplinary courses allows to see the achievements of meta-subject results by schoolchildren and the successes of students both in mathematical preparation, expressed by high marks on the subject, and related disciplines, which indicates the improvement of mathematical education quality of students who received training using the proposed methodology

    Open type tasks in mathematics as a tool for students’ meta-subject results assessment

The relevance of the present study is due to the tasks of assessing the quality of secondary education, which determine students’ subject knowledge along with their personal achievements, and where meta-subject skills define not only the level of educational results achieved, but also the prospects for the future high-quality training for a school graduate at any age. Thus, the purpose of the study conducted is to create approaches for making the system of tasks together with the criteria of their assessment to determine the level of students’ meta-subject results. The leading methods applied are modeling systems of open type tasks, with mathematical content and systematic analysis of large samples of experimental data, based on the evaluation of the two-point scale four parameters: the optimality of students’ proposed ideas, efficiency of reasoning, originality of their answer and development degree of their solutions. A pilot study conducted since 2008 has applied open tasks with mathematical content and the criteria for their assessment formed the approach to determine the level of high school students’ meta-subject results, expressed quantitatively in the form of an integrated assessment of the relative character – meta-subject intelligence quotient. Practical use of the intelligence quotient enables the making of accurate calculations for each age group in order to show the level of students’ meta-subject results. This in turn may determine the future direction of students’ individual development, and to ensure their transition to a higher level of meta-subject skills and, consequently, higher quality of education

    Estimation of the level of cognitive development of a preschool child using the system of situations with mathematical contents

    © 2016 by author/s.Cognitive development of personality can be considered as one of the key directions of preschool education presented in the world practice, where preschool programs are educational ones, and preschool education is the first level of the general education. Thereby the purpose of the research is to create a model of reliable estimation of cognitive development of a preschool child by means of the system of situations, including identification of the average level for chronological age. Thus the leading technology is modeling the systems of open-type tasks of mathematical contents and the system analysis of big selections of experimental data based on the two-point scale of four parameters: optimality of the ideas offered by children; efficiency of the reasoning given by them; originality of their answer and level of decision development. As a result of the pilot study conducted in 2015 on selection of 3,800 preschool children, it was succeeded to approve the offered technology of estimation and to generalize results in the form of the integrated assessment of relative character – coefficient of cognitive development level. Mathematical-statistical processing of the results of the research allows to prove uniformity of experimental selection and to specify the level of cognitive development with a reliable accuracy of normal distribution for each age group of the preschool child basing on calculation of samples quartiles that in turn can define the further program of individual development of a child providing his transition to higher level of the general education and consequently, higher quality of education

    Investigation of the thermal expansion and heat capacity of the CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics

    The thermal expansion of the CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics has been measured over a wide temperature range 120–1200 K. The high quality of the samples under study has been confirmed by good agreement of the results of measurements of the heat capacity in the range 2–300 K and in the vicinity of the phase transition of magnetic nature at 25 K with the data for the single crystal. No anomalies in the thermal expansion that can be associated with the phase transition at 726–732 K assumed by other investigators have been found. The influence exerted on the thermal expansion by the heat treatment of the sample in a helium atmosphere and in air has been investigated

    Study of the Physical Properties and Electrocaloric Effect in the BaTiO3 Nano- and Microceramics

    The specific heat, thermal expansion, permittivity, and electrocaloric effect in bulk of BaTiO3 (BT) samples in the form of nano- (nBT-500 nm) and micro- (mBT-1200 nm) ceramics fabricated using spark plasma sintering and solid-state plasma techniques have been investigated. The size effect has been reflected, to a great extent, in the suppression of the specific heat and thermal expansion anomalies and in the changes in the temperatures and entropies of phase transitions and permittivity, and a decrease in the maximum intensive electrocaloric effect: ΔTmaxAD = 29 mK (E = 2.0 kV/cm) for nBT and ΔTmaxAD = 70 mK (E = 2.5 kV/cm) for mBT. The conductivity growth at temperatures above 360 K leads to the significant irreversible heating of the samples due to the Joule heat release in the applied electric field, which dominates over the electrocaloric effect

    Proteolytic systems of tissue and blood plasma take part in the processes of adaptation and protection of an organism, as well as in development of pathological reactions. We have studied the activity of kallikrein, kallikreinogen, angiotensine transforming enzyme, α1-protease inhibitor, and α2-macroglobulin in healthy children in different age periods, in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, in children with infectious-inflammatory diseases of the urinary system, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.The activity of the kallikrein-kinin system was increased in all the groups against the background of the decreased inhibitory activity of blood plasma of different intensity, which can be used for the prediction of the course of diseases.Протеолитические системы плазмы крови и ткани участвуют в процессах адаптации, защиты организма, а также в развитии патологических реакций. Исследована активность калликреина, калликреиногена, ангиотензинпревращающего фермента, α1-протеазного ингибитора и α2-макроглобулина у здоровых детей в различные возрастные периоды, новорожденных с гипоксически-ишемической энцефалопатией, у детей при инфекционно-воспалительных заболеваниях мочевой системы, при ожирении и метаболическом синдроме.Выявлено повышение активности калликреин-кининовой системы во всех группах наблюдения на фоне снижения ингибиторной активности плазмы крови различной степени выраженности, что может быть использовано для прогнозирования течения заболеваний

    Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is an orphan disease associated with mutations in several genes. It is a ciliopathy, an abnormality of the cilia and flagella. Ciliopathies include the extremely rare Simpson - Golabi - Bemel syndrome (SSGB) type II.The aim of this article is to familiarize the reader with the possibility of simultaneous presence of type II SSGB and PCD in a patient with bronchiectasis (BE).Results. The first clinical observation in the Russian literature is presented withhistory, physical examination, including clinical and morphologic examination, results of additional investigations and initiation of therapy. The case describes a 15-year-old patient with BE and other lesions typical of PCD confirmed on the basis of structural changes in the cilia of the respiratory epithelium of the trachea detected by transmission electron microscopy. The patient had a pathogenic mutation of the OFD1 gene responsible for the development of both type II SSGB and PCD.Conclusion. Several variants of ciliopathies may occur in one patient, and PCD may present as a syndrome.Первичная цилиарная дискинезия (ПЦД) является орфанным заболеванием, связанным с мутациями в различных генах, одной из разновидностей патологии ресничек и жгутиков — цилиопатий. К последним также относится крайне редко встречающийся синдром Симпсона—Голаби—Бемеля (ССГБ) II типа.Целью работы явилось ознакомление специалистов с возможностью одновременного присутствия у пациента с бронхоэктазами (БЭ) ССГБ II типа и ПЦД по данным клинического наблюдения.Результаты. Представлено первое в отечественной литературе клиническое наблюдение (данные анамнеза, объективного осмотра, включая клинико-морфологический осмотр, результаты дополнительных методов обследования и инициации терапии) 15-летнего пациента с БЭ и другими поражениями, типичными для ПЦД, подтвержденной на основании структурных изменений в ресничках респираторного эпителия трахеи, выявленных с помощью трансмиссионной электронной микроскопии, и патогенной мутации гена OFD1, ответственного за развитие как ССГБ II типа, так и ПЦД.Заключение. Установлено, что у одного пациента могут встречаться разные варианты цилиопатий, а ПЦД, таким образом, может иметь синдромальный характер
