Thermodynamic properties of the Dicke model in the strong-coupling regime

We discuss the problem of a N two-level systems interacting with a single radiation mode in the strong-coupling regime. On the finite size behavior of quantum collective spin systems

We discuss the finite size behavior of the adiabatic Dicke model, describing the collective coupling of a set of N-two level atoms (qubits) to a faster (electromagnetic) oscillator mode. The energy eigen-states of this system are shown to be directly related to those of another widely studied collective spin model, the uniaxial one. By employing an approximate continuum approach, we obtain a complete characterization of the properties of the latter, which we then use to evaluate the scaling properties of various observables for the original Dicke model near its quantum phase transition.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure

Entanglement sharing in E⊗ϵE\otimes\epsilon Jahn-Teller model in the presence of a magnetic field

We discuss the ground state entanglement of the $E\otimes\epsilon$ Jahn-Teller model in the presence of a strong transverse magnetic field as a function of the vibronic coupling strength. A complete characterization is given of the phenomenon of entanglement sharing in a system composed by a qubit coupled to two bosonic modes. Using the residual $I$-tangle, we find that three-partite entanglement is significantly present in the system in the parameter region near the bifurcation point of the corresponding classical model

La tesi propone l’edizione critica e commentata di Cumae (1998), quarto libro del poeta flegreo Michele Sovente. L’Introduzione colloca la raccolta nel panorama della poesia italiana tardo-novecentesca, per analizzarne poi la forma-libro, i temi, le tre lingue poetiche (italiano, latino e cappellese) e gli aspetti metrici. Nella Nota al testo si ricostruisce la storia del testo e si propone un’interpretazione delle varianti delle poesie. Intituler le premier dossier d’une revue dédiée à la réflexion sur les images “ Théories ” peut sembler à première vue, si ce n’est prétentieux, du moins un peu “ flou ”. Ce titre correspond en réalité à une exigence constitutive d’Images re-vues : la nécessité d’une réflexion méthodologique sur des approches disciplinaires différentes et sur des concepts et des modèles qui caractérisent le débat actuel sur l’image. Dans notre expérience ordinaire, les faits (ce que nous savons et disons à propos des événements, nos descriptions, nos versions) sont distingués des événements, au point que leur intégration dans le catalogue du monde est controversée. Les œuvres d'art, en revanche, nous présentent à la fois une construction des faits et la possibilité d'un événement singulier. Comment une telle coexistence figure-t-elle une temporalité particulière de l'objet artistique ?
