[Resumen] La sucesión de Unidades Litoestratigráficas dentro de la Cuenca Noeógena de Meirama, demuestra una compleja evolución Tectosedimentaria. Se constata la presencia de médios deposicionales Lacustres, Fluviales, así como grandes periodos de desarrollo forestal. La influencia tectónica dentro de la cuenca, aparece marcada tanto en etapas resedimentárias, como en etapas Sin- y Postsedimentárias.[Abstract] Lithoestratigraphic units succesion in Meirama's Neogene-Bassin, prove a complex Tectosedimentary evolution. Correlación entre dos secuencias lacustres pliocenas en los sectores marginales de Orce y Gorafe (Depresión de Guadix-Baza. Granada)

Effect of being the organizer of a Handball Worl Championship in team perfomance

Cuando un equipo actúa como local parece tener cierta ventaja. Este hecho se denomina home advantage (HA) y ha sido muy estudiado en competiciones de liga, pero poco en competiciones de sede única. Se analizaron 4.340 partidos disputados en todos los Campeonatos del Mundo de balonmano disputados hasta 2011. Las variables registradas fueron: partidos ganados, empatados, perdidos, número goles marcados y recibidos y sexo de los competidores. La HA en los Campeonatos del Mundo de balonmano es de 67,9±0,23 para la categoría masculina y de 71,2±0,27 para la femenina. Existe una asociación entre la HA, los puntos obtenidos y la clasificación final del equipo.When a team plays at home seems to get some advantage. Evidence for a merger of binary white dwarfs: the case of GD 362

GD 362 is a massive white dwarf with a spectrum suggesting a H-rich atmosphere which also shows very high abundances of Ca, Mg, Fe and other metals. However, for pure H-atmospheres the diffusion timescales are so short that very extreme assumptions have to be made to account for the observed abundances of metals. The most favored hypothesis is that the metals are accreted from either a dusty disk or from an asteroid belt. Here we propose that the envelope of GD 362 is dominated by He, which at these effective temperatures is almost completely invisible in the spectrum. This assumption strongly alleviates the problem, since the diffusion timescales are much larger for He-dominated atmospheres. We also propose that the He-dominated atmosphere of GD 362 is likely to be the result of the merger of a binary white dwarf.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures. Measuring home advantage in Spanish Football (1928-2011)

Pollard (1986) estableció el procedimiento para analizar la ventaja de jugar en casa, efecto que en términos anglosajones se denomina “home advantage” (HA). La HA ha sido estudiada en multitud de deportes, tanto individuales como de equipo, determinando su existencia y sus posibles causas. Este artículo analiza la HA de la primera división de fútbol español a lo largo de su historia (desde 1928 hasta el 2011). La muestra es de 80 temporadas y 22.015 partidos jugados en las competiciones de liga de máxima categoría española. La HA es de 70,8±0,14 en las máximas categorías del fútbol español en la época en la que el valor de la victoria era de dos puntos (1928-1995) y de 56,7±0,14 cuando se otorgan tres puntos por la victoria (1995-2011Pollard (1986) established the procedure for analyzing the home advantage (HA). Factorizing the time evolution operator

There is a widespread belief in the quantum physical community, and in textbooks used to teach Quantum Mechanics, that it is a difficult task to apply the time evolution operator Exp{-itH/h} on an initial wave function. That is to say, because the hamiltonian operator generally is the sum of two operators, then it is a difficult task to apply the time evolution operator on an initial wave function f(x,0), for it implies to apply terms operators like (a+b)^n. A possible solution of this problem is to factorize the time evolution operator and then apply successively the individual exponential operator on the initial wave function. However, the exponential operator does not directly factorize, i. e. Exp{a+b} is not equal to Exp{a}Exp{b}. In this work we present a useful procedure for factorizing the time evolution operator when the argument of the exponential is a sum of two operators, which obey specific commutation relations. Then, we apply the exponential operator as an evolution operator for the case of elementary unidimensional potentials, like the particle subject to a constant force and the harmonic oscillator. Also, we argue about an apparent paradox concerning the time evolution operator and non-spreading wave packets addressed previously in the literature.Comment: 24 pages; added references; one figure change

Potencial redox en suelos de la zona de Cabo de Gata (Almería)

En el presente trabajo estudiamos la relación entre el potencial redox y una serie de factores que lo condicionan, en un total de ocho perfiles procedentes de la zona de Cabo de Gata (Almeria) y desarrollados todos ellos sobre roca caliza o rica en carbonato cálcico bajo clima subdesérticocálido. Encontramos que el valer del Eh está relacionado con los contenidos en materia orgánica y manganeso y con el valor del pH, en cambio no guarda relación con el contenido en hierro.In the present papel' we study the relationship among redox potential and some of the factors that they condition it, in eight soil profils from Cabo de Gata región (Almeria-Spain), all them al'e developed on limestone or other richo in calcium carbonate, rocks.
