Quantum tomography of the GHZ state
We present a method of generation of the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state
involving type II and type I parametric downconversion, and triggering
photodetectors. The state generated by the proposed experimental set-up can be
reconstructed through multi-mode quantum homodyne tomography. The feasibility

Health Benefits of Mediterranean Diet
Growing evidence shows that a dietary pattern inspired by Mediterranean dietprinciples is associated with numerous health benefits. A Mediterranean-typediet has been demonstrated to exert a preventive effect toward cardiovasculardiseases, in both Mediterranean and non-Mediterranean populations. Part ofthese properties may depend on a positive action toward healthier metabolism,decreasing the risk of diabetes and metabolic-syndrome-related conditions.Some studies also suggested a potential role in preventing certain cancers. Finally,newer research has showed that a higher adherence to the Mediterranean diet isassociated with a lower risk of cognitive decline, depression, and other mentaldisorders. Overall, a better understanding of the key elements of this dietarypattern, the underlying mechanisms, and targets, are needed to corroboratecurrent evidence and provide insights on new and potential outcomes.ThisSpecial Issue welcomes original research and reviews of literature concerningthe Mediterranean diet and various health outcomes:Observational studies onestablished nutritional cohorts (preferred), case-control studies, or populationsample on the association with non-communicable diseases;Level of evidenceon the association with human health, including systematic reviews and metaanalyses;Evaluation of application of Mediterranean diet principles in non-Mediterranean countries;Description of mechanisms of action, pathways, andtargets at the molecular level, including interaction with gut microbiota
Experimental Realization of Polarization Qutrits from Non-Maximally Entangled States
Based on a recent proposal [Phys. Rev. A 71, 062337 (2005)], we have
experimentally realized two photon polarization qutrits by using non-maximally
entangled states and linear optical transformations. By this technique high

Hyperentanglement witness
A new criterium to detect the entanglement present in a {\it hyperentangled
state}, based on the evaluation of an entanglement witness, is presented. We
show how some witnesses recently introduced for graph states, measured by only
two local settings, can be used in this case. We also define a new witness
that improves the resistance to noise by increasing the number of local

Realization and characterization of a 2-photon 4-qubit linear cluster state
We report on the experimental realization of a 4-qubit linear cluster state
via two photons entangled both in polarization and linear momentum. This state
was investigated by performing tomographic measurements and by evaluating an
entanglement witness. By use of this state we carried out a novel nonlocality
proof, the so-called ``stronger two observer all versus nothing'' test of

Hyperentanglement of two photons in three degrees of freedom
A 6-qubit hyperentangled state has been realized by entangling two photons in
three degrees of freedom. These correspond to the polarization, the
longitudinal momentum and the indistinguishable emission produced by a
2-crystal system operating with Type I phase matching in the spontaneous
parametric down conversion regime. The state has been characterized by a
chained interferometric apparatus and its complete entangled nature has been
tested by a novel witness criterium specifically introduced for hyperentangled
states. The experiment represents the first realization of a genuine
hyperentangled state with the maximum entanglement between the two particles

Generation of time-bin entangled photons without temporal post-selection
We report on the implementation of a new interferometric scheme that allows
the generation of photon pairs entangled in the time-energy degree of freedom.
This scheme does not require any kind of temporal post-selection on the

Editors' Introduction
An overview of the relationship between psychoanalysis and hermeneutics. We would like to open this introduction by confessing an initial ambition that we now see with a more critical eye. The idea that initially prompted the construction of this issue of Critical Hermeneutics was to rethink in a systematic way the relationship between these two disciplines that have constantly but ambivalently attracted each other, perhaps since the birth of the younger one: psychoanalysis. However, we realised that the goal of a systematic review of the relationship between hermeneutics and psychoanalysis is not yet feasible. There are too many directions that can be given to reflection. The works that have arrived – and which we will briefly present in the next paragraph – testify precisely to this polyphony of voices, sometimes dissonant, but fertile and innovative. Indeed, by moving in so many different directions – from clinic to art, from historiography to phenomenology, from ethics to textual analysis – the resulting picture contributes to broadening perspectives, but also suggests the epoché of any possible claim to synthesis..
Multiparticle Quantum Superposition and Stimulated Entanglement by Parity Selective Amplification of Entangled States
A multiparticle quantum superposition state has been generated by a novel
phase-selective parametric amplifier of an entangled two-photon state. This
realization is expected to open a new field of investigations on the
persistence of the validity of the standard quantum theory for systems of
increasing complexity, in a quasi decoherence-free environment. Because of its
nonlocal structure the new system is expected to play a relevant role in the
modern endeavor on quantum information and in the basic physics of

Anisakiasis in italy: analysis of hospital discharge records in the years 2005-2015
Background Anisakiasis is a fish-borne zoonosis caused by the ingestion of marine food infected with Anisakis third-stage larvae, widespread marine parasitic nematodes. Gastrointestinal and/ or allergic clinical signs and symptoms are not specific. While frequently reported in countries with large raw fish consumption as Japan, the global prevalence of anisakiasis may be severely underestimated due to limitations of available diagnostic tools and to diverse clinical manifestations. Recently, infective larvae were found in the same localization with gastrointestinal tumors. The occurrence of allergic exacerbation upon secondary exposure and the possible occupational exposure, highlight the need to increase scientific evidences on anisakiasis. Methods We performed a retrospective descriptive study using analysis of Hospital Discharge Records (HDRs) from 2005 to 2015 in Italy, with particular attention to allergic manifestations. Descriptive statistics and multivariate analyses were performed using backward step-wise logistic regression models to assess spatial distribution and temporal trend as well as the variables independently associated with the allergic clinical signs and symptoms in Italian cases of anisakiasis. Results HDRs reporting the ICD-9 code for anisakiasis were retrieved (370), with a higher number of cases reported from central and southern regions, with particular regard to populations inhabiting the coastal territories. Around 40% of patients presented allergic manifestations and half of them showed serious allergic reactions. The multivariate analyses showed an independent association between allergic manifestations and features as living in southern regions and female gender, while anaphylactic episodes was independently associated only with female gender. Conclusion The present study is the first attempt to a better understanding of the epidemiological picture of anisakiasis in Italy, mining official data. A common strategy on data collection, monitoring and reporting would favor a more accurate epidemiological scenario in Italy, since the report of the diseases is not mandatory
