Bubbling and bistability in two parameter discrete systems

We present a graphical analysis of the mechanisms underlying the occurrences of bubbling sequences and bistability regions in the bifurcation scenario of a special class of one dimensional two parameter maps. The main result of the analysis is that whether it is bubbling or bistability is decided by the sign of the third derivative at the inflection point of the map function.Comment: LaTeX v2.09, 14 pages with 4 PNG figure

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the virtual teams effectiveness in productivity, whether leadership and Empowerment with the relevant factors influencing the virtual team productivity are not. This study examines the virtual group in IT enterprises and their authority and strengthening of efficiency of a virtual group.   Theoretical framework:  An essential method for directing business for associations to stay serious and support in a global environment. What's more, that is used in numerous kinds and sizes of associations either as a key unit or as a supporting unit. Virtual groups in Indian programming organizations stand out explicitly inside the world wide IT service sector.   Design/methodology/approach: The present study is conducted by designing the set of questionnaires with respect to the leadership and empowerment of a virtual team and the performance of virtual team factors. And it is distributed to the organization, which uses a virtual team. The questionnaires were distributed to the 300 participants; only 257 responses are received from the company. From the 300 respondents, 43 responses were rejected because the response is not clear, so a total of 257 responses are taken. By using a 5-point Likert scale, the questionnaire was prepared.   Finding: The relationship between the team effectiveness, team performance, and empowering the leadership of the hypothesis are empirically tested. The result indicated that the empowerment and leadership of a virtual team enhanced the performance and productivity of a virtual team.   Research, Practical & Social Implication: The paper contributes to a better understanding of the internal processes within a virtual team in order to develop the effectiveness through Leadership and empowerment which increase the productivity.   Originality/value: Notwithstanding the inescapability of overseeing virtual groups, associations find it especially provoking for virtual colleagues to display and deal with their initiative ways of behaving

Ambai a Tamil Nadu woman writer who has highlighted the feminist voice for the emancipation of women in society and their strong personality development through her writings on the history of modern Tamil literature, has created in her short stories an understanding of the existence, challenges and place of women in society and her place in the social platform with a keen interest in her life. She has written about the problem of dowry in the social sphere, unrestrained male-female friendships, and women's sexual problems. Predictions about women-dependent fathers, husbands, brothers, companionship are also present in the short stories of the various instances of human relationship persistence. He is also a prolific writer of feminist issues. Who was supportive of the female class. The narrative that emerges in his stories has shaped each narrative to suit each period. Depicts the problems faced by women in the positions of mother, daughter, wife etc. where the woman is placed second. There have also been reports of sexual violence against women and young girls. The purpose of this review article is to express social thought through her works on the notion that women suffer in society because of their ‘virginity’ and the idea that women should be left out of traditional thinking and build a new world for themselves

C7: Comparison of Four Dental Pulp-Capping Agents by Cone-Beam Computed Tomography and Histological Techniques—A Split-Mouth Design Ex Vivo Study

    Get PDF
Dental pulp-capping is done to preserve vital teeth when the pulp is exposed due to caries, trauma or instrumentation. Various materials are used as pulp-capping agents. The introduction of newer materials requires scientific studies to assess their clinical efficacy. The study was designed as a split-mouth randomized analysis of four pulp-capping agents (calcium hydroxide, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine and EndoSequence root repair material (ERRM)). Based on selection criteria, 15 orthodontic patients requiring the extraction of four premolars (60 teeth total) were included in the study. After pulp-capping, the teeth were extracted after 8 weeks. We analyzed the extracted teeth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and histological sections to determine the quality of the dentinal bridge and the pulpal response. Ordinal scores were given based on the completeness of the dentinal bridge, the type of bridge and the degree of pulpal inflammation. Results were analyzed using a Kruskal–Wallis test (p \u3c 0.05) with post hoc Conover values being used when applicable. All four pulp-capping materials elicited dentinal bridge formation (60/60). MTA had the highest scores (10/15) in dentinal bridge formation followed by ERRM (8/15). Both materials showed more samples with complete dentinal bridges (9/15 each) and a favorable pulpal response (15/15). Teeth capped with calcium hydroxide showed more cases of incomplete bridge formation (9/15) and pulpal inflammation. These differences in dentinal bridge formation and pulpal inflammation were statistically significant (p 0.001 and p 0.00005, respectively), with post hoc tests revealing no significant differences between MTA and ERRM (p 0.49 and p 0.71, respectively). MTA and ERRM performed better than the other pulp-capping materials but did not differ significantly from each other. The individual preference for a pulp-capping material may be based on clinical efficacy and handling characteristics

B1: Determination of reliability and practicality of saliva as a genetic source by analyzing DNA yield in forensic investigation : A systematic review”

    Get PDF
Background Genetic analysis has become the mainstay of forensic identification protocols. Oral fluids including saliva are invariably present in crime and disaster scenarios; their availability probably exceeding that of conventional sources like blood. Due to the intrinsic nature of fluids, the substrates may be degraded due to time delay and environmental exposure. Therefore, a review of the reliability and practicality of saliva in forensic analysis is warranted. Objectives This review is designed and planned to present and critically analyze the most relevant clinical trials on the application of saliva in forensic settings in order to assess the reliability of saliva for DNA analysis. Data sources and eligibility criteria Thorough literature search was performed via Pubmed/Medline database, the Cochrane Trial register and Clinical Trial registry of India. Only the clinical trials that specifically mentioned the use of saliva for DNA analysis were eligible and included. Eight trials were included for the analysis. Study appraisal Customized data collection were generated and compiled by two independent evaluators. Risk assessment and qualitative synthesis was performed. Results and conclusions Using qualitative thematic synthesis, it was observed that saliva, especially whole saliva, collected in specific kits under stabilization, was a sufficient source of DNA, especially for PCR and genotyping methods, irrespective of environmental conditions and time delay. The observations indicate that saliva is a reliable and practical source of DNA for forensic settings

Forage Composition and Quality of Tankbed Grassland Ecosystems in Sri Lanka; A Preliminary Study of “Tabbowa” Tank

    Get PDF
Although, Sri Lanka does not have large natural lakes, the early settlers devoted their energy to build water bodies (tanks or reservoirs) in association with forest catchments to provide water for irrigation. The tank bed is a grassland area of the tank, which lies between the catchment forest and the present water level. In general, the tankbed has three major zones - lower, middle and upper - and in some seasons the middle and upper parts may be underwater. This tankbed area is dominated by grassland vegetation and is a valuable feeding ground for free-grazing livestock. The main objective of this study was to identify the common forage species and to investigate the nutrient composition of species most relevant to ruminant livestock in one of the larger tankbed grasslands in the country
