Development of a KDP crystal growth system based on TRM and characterization of the grown crystals
A solution growth system has been built based on temperature reduction
method [1]. A few KDP crystals were grown by the system up to 160×40×38 mm
dimensions. Spectrophotometer transmission spectra from (100) planes of the grown
crystals show about 86 % transmission in the visible region. XRD analysis, laser damage
threshold, and microhardness of the crystals were determined. The etching behavior of
surface features of grown KDP single crystals was studied in different etchants
Thermoluminescence behavior of KClXBr1−X: in mixed crystals exposed to gamma radiation
In-doped KClXBr1−X (X=1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 and 0) mixed crystal has been grown by the Czochralski method. The segregation coefficient of In was studied by the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The crystal structure has been determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The thermoluminescence (TL) characterization of KClXBr1−X mixed crystals, exposed to gamma radiation has been performed. The results show the introduction of the dopants ions induced changes in the TL glow curve structure. The TL results suggest that doped KClXBr1−X mixed crystal has good potential active dosimeter applications for gamma ray irradiation
Granulomatous liver diseases: A review
Granulomas that consist of focal accumulations of macrophages are commonly found in the liver due to stimulation of the immune system by a number of agents. Manifestations are variable depending on whether the underlying cause is a systemic disease or a primary hepatic granulomatous reaction. This article describes the common causes, presentation, histopathology, and manifestations of granulomatous diseases as well as various diagnostic and management strategies
