Composite fermions close to the one-half filling of the lowest Landau level revisited
By strictly adhering to the microscopic theory of composite fermions for the
Landau-level filling fractions nu_e = p/(2 p + 1), we reproduce, with
remarkable accuracy, the surface-acoustic-wave (SAW)-based experimental results
by Willett and co-workers concerning two-dimensional electron systems with nu_e
close to 1/2. Our results imply that the electron band mass m_b, as distinct
from the composite fermion mass m_*, must undergo a substantial increase under
the conditions corresponding to nu_e approximately equal to 1/2. In view of the
relatively low aerial electronic densities n_e to which the underlying SAW
experiments correspond, our finding conforms with the experimental results by
Shashkin et al. [Phys. Rev. B 66, 073303 (2002)], concerning two-dimensional
electrons in silicon, that signal sharp increase in m_b for n_e decreasing
below approximately 2 x 10^{11} cm^{-2}. We further establish that a finite
mean-free path l_0 is essential for the observed linearity of the longitudinal
conductivity sigma_{xx}(q) as deduced from the SAW velocity shifts.Comment: 5 pages, 2 postscript figure
Evaluation of Treatment Methods Used for Construction on Expansive Soils in Egypt
The soil formation in this arid area is sometimes an expansive problematic soil. Due to the lake of the construction experience on this problematic soil, many defects are appeared in the new buildings established in these arid areas. In this paper, a focusing on the treatment method using soil replacement for expansive soil formation. In the other hand, some case studies were illustrated to show the different types of problems appeared due to the different construction methods used. Finally, a conclusion about how to overcome these defects happened due to this treatment method for this problematic soil is mentioned. Some recommendations are given to civil engineers to be taken into consideration during establishing any constructions on this problematic soil
Synchronization in Complex Systems Following the Decision Based Queuing Process: The Rhythmic Applause as a Test Case
Living communities can be considered as complex systems, thus a fertile
ground for studies related to their statistics and dynamics. In this study we
revisit the case of the rhythmic applause by utilizing the model proposed by
V\'azquez et al. [A. V\'azquez et al., Phys. Rev. E 73, 036127 (2006)]
augmented with two contradicted {\it driving forces}, namely: {\it
Individuality} and {\it Companionship}. To that extend, after performing
computer simulations with a large number of oscillators we propose an
explanation on the following open questions (a) why synchronization occurs
suddenly, and b) why synchronization is observed when the clapping period
() is ( is the mean self period
of the spectators) and is lost after a time. Moreover, based on the model, a
weak preferential attachment principle is proposed which can produce complex
networks obeying power law in the distribution of number edges per node with

Efektifitas Media Audio Visual dan Leaflet terhadap Peningkatan Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Tindakan Tentang Pencegahan Penyakit Gastritis pada Santriwati di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Putri dan Ummusshabri Kota Kendari Tahun 2017
Penyakit grastitis/maag merupakan penyakit yang sering dialami oleh orang Indonesia dari remaja sampailanjut usia, dikarenakan berbagai faktor diantaranya yaitu pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan remaja untukmencegah gastritis. Media audio visual merupakan salah satu media penyuluhan yang menarik danmerangsang lebih banyak indera dibandingkan media leaflet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuiefektifitas media audio visual dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan tentangpencegahan penyakit gastritis pada santriwati. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimentaldengan rancangan non equivalent control group design with pretest and postest . Penelitian dilakukan denganmembagi responden menjadi 2 kelompok yang diklasifikasikan yaitu 1) kelompok Eksperimen diberikanpromosi kesehatan melalui media audio visual; dan 2) kelompok kontrol diberikan promosi kesehatan melaluimedia leaflet. Populasi dari penelitian ini berjumlah 87 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 70 orang, masingmasing35 sampel pada setiap pesantren yang ditentukan dengan Purposive Sampling berdasarkan kriteriainsklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis yang digunakan yakni analisis uji paired sample t test dan uji independent t-test.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media audio visual (eksperimen) maupun media leaflet mampumemberikan peningkatan terhadap Perubahan tingkat pengetahuan (p = 0,00 dan 0,00), sikap (p = 0,00 dan0,00), serta tindakan terhadap pecegahan penyakit gastritis (p=0,00 dan 0,00) baik sebelum dan sesudahdilakukan penyuluhan. Ada perbedaan pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan antara kelompok eksperimen dengankelompok kontrol (p value= 0.00 untuk pengetahuan, p value= 0.02 untuk sikap dan ρ value= 0.04 untuktindakan). Sehingga penelitian ini membuktikan penggunaan media audio visual efektif untuk kegiatanpromosi kesehatan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan pencegahan penyakit gastritis
Protokol Interchangeable Data Pada VMeS (Vessel Messaging System) Dan AIS (Automatic Identification System)
VMeS (Vessel Messaging System) merupakan komunikasi berbasis radio untuk mengirimkan pesan antara VMeS terminal kapal di laut dengan VMeS gateway di darat. Dalam perkembangan sistem monitoring kapal di laut umumnya menggunakan AIS (Automatic Identification System) yang telah digunakan di seluruh pelabuhan untuk memantau kondisi kapal dan mencegah tabrakan antar kapal. Dalam penelitian ini akan dirancang format data yang sesuai untuk VMeS agar bisa dilakukan proses interchangeable ke AIS sehingga bisa dibaca oleh AIS receiver yang ditujukan untuk kapal dengan ukuran dibawah 30 GT (Gross Tonnage). Format data VmeS dirancang dalam tiga jenis yaitu data posisi, data informasi kapal dan data pesan pendek yang akan dilakukan interchangeable dengan AIS tipe 1,4 dan 8. Pengujian kinerja sistem interchangeable menunjukkan bahwa dengan peningkatan periode pengiriman pesan maka lama delay total meningkat tetapi packet loss menurun. Pada pengiriman pesan setiap 5 detik dengan kecepatan 0-40 km/jam, 96,67 % data dapat diterima dengan baik. Data akan mengalami packet loss jika level daya terima dibawah -112 dBm . Jarak terjauh yang dapat dijangkau modem dengan kondisi bergerak yaitu informatika ITS dengan jarak 530 meter terhadap Laboratorium B406 dengan level daya terima -110 dBm

At the time of serving the customer in the field, the problems often faced by marketing that marketing can not check the status of customer data such as pengeekan member and previous arrears, do add a new customer, to process the transaction (in this case the application process until the approval of financing), displays information about the data traffic to the dealer / store, the number of incentives, and the target number of transactions received, that all these can not be done directly in the field saaat. Since the majority of marketing is the mobile phone users, the author tries to build an application "Customer Data Management and Monitoring Performance-based mobile marketing" to answer the above requirements. As a result of the implementation of the Customer Data Management applications and mobile-based Marketing Performance Monitoring has been done, marketing can make the process of checking customers\u27 data, add new customer, and transaction processing to financial filings with the approval of retail financing directly through mobile devices are carried in this case is mobile. Optical Conductivity of a Two-Dimensional Electron Liquid with Spin-Orbit Interaction
The interplay of electron-electron interactions and spin-orbit coupling leads
to a new contribution to the homogeneous optical conductivity of the electron
liquid. The latter is known to be insensitive to many-body effects for a
conventional electron system with parabolic dispersion. The parabolic spectrum
has its origin in the Galilean invariance which is broken by spin-orbit
coupling. This opens up a possibility for the optical conductivity to probe
electron-electron interactions. We analyze the interplay of interactions and

Dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) saat ini masih menggunakan modul buku dan engine stand untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran, dimana dengan metode tersebut menjadikan anak bosan karena harus berbagi dengan siswa lain karena keterbatasan engine stand. Sehingga menjadikan kegiatan belajar mengajar menjadi kurang efektif. Augmented Reality merupakan sebuah inovasi teknologi yang saat ini sedang berkembang dimana dengan teknologi tersebut kita dapat menggabungkan obyek virtual ke dunia nyata secaralangsung dengan bentuk tiga dimensi (3D). Aplikasi ini memanfaatkan fitur kamera pada smartphone android dengan spesifikasi minmum sistem operasi android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, sehingga sangat praktis digunakan. Dan menggunakan marker berupa modul New Step 1 Training Manual yang telah dimiliki oleh siswa.Aplikasi sistem kelistrikan body berbasis augmented reality ini telah di ujikan bersama 40 responden di SMK Negeri 3 Kudus dengan hasil baik
