Oxidation of ferrocene derivatives at a Poly[Ni(saltMe)] modified electrode
The characterization of film permeability and mediation properties of poly[Ni(saltMe)] modified electrodes were evaluated by studying the oxidation of ferrocene and 1,1’-dimethylferrocene at these electrodes by rotating-disk voltammetry. Application of Neutron Scattering in Amino Acid Crystals – Structural and Dynamical Information
In this work results of neutron powder diffraction and inelastic neutron scattering on aliphatic amino acid (L-alanine, L-valine and L-leucine) crystals are presented. The study allows inferring important informations about both the stability of the structures and the dynamics of phase transitions. In particular, it was possible to compare the behavior of different amino acids and to infer that changes in the mean-square displacements observed for two deuterated forms of L-alanine ND3+ – C2H4 – CO2- and NH3+ – C2D4 – CO2- are due to a structural rearrangement related to thermally activated amplitude reorientation of NH3+ and CO2-. Conformation changes in L-valine and L-leucine related to the phase transition are also discussed
Cenário E Perspectiva Da Produção Científica Sobre Competência Em Informação (coinfo) No Brasil: Estudo Da Produção No âmbito Da Ancib
Search highlight in the field of Information Science in Brazil, the importance of the publications generated by scientific events, specifically the scope of information literacy (Competência em Informação - CoInfo, in Portuguese), analyzing the work and the production of its main scientific society, the Associação Nacional de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação - ANCIB. Presents the results of research that involved the document corpus published in the editions of the Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação - Enancib, annual scientific agenda ANCIB, watching literature produced by scientific work on CoInfo presented in all Anais of the Enancib in the period 1994-2015, identifying theme insertion in all of its major working groups. The research used exploratory and descriptive approach, involving documentary and historical research. The search was carried out in the event portal ANCIB-Enancib, from the selection of the works related to the theme CoInfo and seven related terms: information literacy, competência informacional, alfabetização informacional, aprendizagem informacional, alfabetização em informação, letramento informacional, user education. For measurement data we used the Bardin technique. The results show that as of 2009 there is an increase in the production of work on CoInfo presented in Enancib, indicating that the spaces commonly used for the application of methodologies are libraries. These results also show that the document corpus dealing with the subject and the growing interest of researchers for it, coupled with the possibilities of seminars involving this theme in focus in recent programming Post-Enancib's, provides a very promising future vision for the studies, research and the effective consolidation of CoInfo in the field of Information Science in Brazil, and its visibility. In conclusion, presents the efforts made by various institutions for the development of CoInfo in Brazil in international impact event.26315116
Montecarlo based quantitative Kramers-Kronig test for PEMFC impedance spectrum validation
Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) is a very powerful tool to study the behaviour of electrochemical systems. At present, it is widely used in the fuel cell field in order to study challenging cutting edge issues as membrane drying or gas diffusion layer flooding amongst others. The proper analysis of impedance data requires the fulfilment of four fundamental conditions: causality, linearity, stability and finiteness. The non compliance with any of these conditions may lead to biased, or even misguided, conclusions. Therefore it is critical to verify the compliance of these conditions before accepting any analysis performed on an experimental spectrum. This is even more important in a fuel cell experimental spectrum analysis, since fuel cells are markedly non stationary systems. The aim of this work is to establish an impedance spectrum quantitative validation technique to validate the whole experimental spectrum and to identify the individual points within a spectrum that do not comply any of the four conditions, in order to remove these inconsistent points from the analysis. The designed validation method consists in a Kramers Kronig (KK) validation test, by equivalent electrical circuit fitting, coupled with a Montecarlo error propagation method. In a first step, the experimental spectrum is fitted to a particular electrical equivalent circuit, which satisfies the KK relations. Then, in a second step, a statistical Montecarlo method is used in order to propagate the model fitting parameter uncertainty through the model. Using this approach, a consistency region is built for a given confidence level: the experimental points inside this region are considered consistent for the given confidence level, whereas the outside points are rejected.
