Quality and Antioxidant Activity of Yogurt Supplemented with Roselle During Cold Storage

The purpose of this study was to determine the quality (physical, chemical, microbiological characteristics), total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) inhibition assay of probiotic yogurt supplemented with roselle flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) during cold storage. The experiment used treatment for types of yogurt as follows: cow's milk probiotic yogurt + roselle, goat's milk probiotic yogurt + roselle, cow's milk yogurt, and goat's milk yogurt. The yogurt was stored in cold storage and evaluated the quality and antioxidant activity variables on days 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15th. The results showed that there were interaction (P<0.05) between types of yogurt and storage time on pH value and total lactic acid bacteria (LAB), but no interaction effect on viscosity. The types of yogurt significantly affected (P<0.05) aw, total titrable acid (TTA), total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity. Cow's milk probiotic yogurt + roselle and goat's milk probiotic yogurt + roselle were the best yogurt that contributed to a good quality and high antioxidant activity up to 15 d at cold storage

Non Trivial Extension of the (1+2)-Poincar\'e Algebra and Conformal Invariance on the Boundary of AdS3AdS_3

Using recent results on string on AdS3×NdAdS_{3}\times N^d, where N is a d-dimensional compact manifold, we re-examine the derivation of the non trivial extension of the (1+2) dimensional-Poincar\'e algebra obtained by Rausch de Traubenberg and Slupinsky, refs [1] and [29]. We show by explicit computation that this new extension is a special kind of fractional supersymmetric algebra which may be derived from the deformation of the conformal structure living on the boundary of AdS3AdS_3. The two so(1,2) Lorentz modules of spin ±1k\pm{1\over k} used in building of the generalisation of the (1+2) Poincar\'e algebra are re-interpreted in our analysis as highest weight representations of the left and right Virasoro symmetries on the boundary of AdS3AdS_3. We also complete known results on 2d-fractional supersymmetry by using spectral flow of affine Kac-Moody and superconformal symmetries. Finally we make preliminary comments on the trick of introducing Fth-roots of g-modules to generalise the so(1,2) result to higher rank lie algebras g.Comment: Latex, 31 page

    Peculiarities in produced particles emission in 208Pb + Ag(Br) interactions at 158 A GeV/c

The angular structures of particles produced in 208Pb induced collisions with Ag(Br) nuclei in an emulsion detector at 158 A GeV/c have been investigated. Nonstatistical ring-like substructures in azimuthal plane of the collision have been found and their parameters have been determined. The indication on the formation of the ring-like substructures from two symmetrical emission cones - one in the forward and other in the backward direction in the center-of mass system have been obtained. The ring-like substructures parameters have been determined. The experimental results are in an agreement with I.M. Dremin idea, that mechanism of the ring-like substructures formation in nuclear collisions is similar to that of Cherenkov electromagnetic radiation.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures, Report at the HADRON STRUCTURE'04 Conference, Smolenice, Slovakia, 30.8.-3.9.200
