    Low NO.sub.x combustor

    A combustor includes a dome assembly having radially outer and inner liners joined thereto and defining therebetween a combustion zone. The dome assembly includes at least one annular dome having a pair of axially extending first flanges between which are disposed a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart carburetors for discharging a fuel/air mixture into the combustion zone for generating combustion gases. An annular heat shield includes a pair of axially extending legs integrally joined to a radially extending face in a generally U-shaped configuration, with the face including a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart ports disposed concentrically with perspective ones of the carburetors for allowing the fuel/air mixture to be discharged therefrom through the heat shield. At least one of the heat shield legs includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart mounting holes disposed adjacent to a respective one of the dome flanges, and a plurality of mounting pins are fixedly joined to the dome flange and extend radially through respective ones of the mounting holes without interference therewith for allowing unrestrained thermal movement between the heat shield and the dome while supporting the heat shield against axial pressure loads thereon. In a preferred embodiment, the dome assembly includes three domes having respective ones of the heat shield, and respective baffles are spaced from the heat shields for providing impingement cooling thereof

    This study aims to determine the influence of Attributes Product on the Purchase Decision. Independent variable used in this study is Price, Quality, Design, and Warranty, while the dependent variable in this study arepurchasing Decisions. Quantitative approach with survey method is used in this study. This study is included to explanatory research. The samples in this study were 90 respondens on students Programs Study of Business Administration force 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 Faculty of Science Administration Brawijaya University who bought Tupperware plastic products. The data was collected by giving questionnairs to respondents and also doing interview. Data analysis that used in this study was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression by doing F test and t-test. It purposed to examine and explain overall influence or partial influence between the variabels

    Analisis Kestabilan Model Robot Bipedal Menggunakan Metode Keseimbangan Harmonis

    Penerapan matematika dalam bidang teknologi telah banyak dikembangkan. Contohnya robot bipedal yang merupakan robot berkaki dua. Teknologi ini dapat melakukan tugas - tugas manusia dan memiliki kemampuan seperti manusia serta beberapa keuntungan bila dibandingkan model robot yang lain. Robot bipedal merupakan rangkaian rumit karena menggunakan sistem dinamik non linier. Banyaknya jumlah degrees of freedom atau derajat kebebasan yang digunakan pada permodelan juga dapat mempengaruhi hasil dari simulasi. Studi tentang robot bipedal telah menarik minat karena masalah seperti stabilitas buruk yang melekat dan kerjasama dengan tingkat kebebasan yang besar. Berdasarkan teknologi maju terkini, termasuk perangkat  keras dan perangkat lunak, memungkinkan masalah ini ditangani dengan cepat. Sehingga kemampuan sistem ini untuk berjalan benar – benar mandiri di medan yang tidak rata dan berbagai cara yang kuat yaitu di kehidupan sehari-hari, masih harus dibuktikan. Model robot bipedal yang akan dipelajari terbentuk oleh kumpulan rangkaian osilator Rayleigh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini agar dapat merekonstruksi, menganalisis kestabilan dan melakukan simulasi tentang model robot bipedal menggunakan metode keseimbangan harmonis. Hal ini bermanfaat untuk mengetahui kestabilan dari model robot bipedal. Dengan demikian, hasilnya dapat dijadikan suatu pertimbangan untuk pembuatan robot bipedal yang lebih baik lagi. Rekonstruksi model robot bipedal menggunakan tiga derajat kebebasan saja, yaitu : sudut lutut kiri, sudut pinggul, dan sudut lutut kanan. Dari analisis kestabilan menggunakan metode keseimbangan harmonis diperoleh bahwa dari persamaan (4.7) - (4.9) akan berupa solusi periodik jika nilai parameter sesuai persamaan (4.33) – (4.38) dengan parameter yang ada. Selain itu, dari hasil simulasi diperoleh bahwa sistem persamaan model robot bipedal stabil di tiga solusi periodik yaitu kurva berwarna biru adalah sudut lutut kanan, kurva berwarna merah adalah sudut pinggul, dan kurva berwarna hijau adalah sudut lutut kiri.   Kata kunci: Robot Bipedal, Osilator Rayleigh, Metode Keseimbangan Harmoni

    Review Implementasi Pendidikan Lingkungan di Provinsi Jambi

    The aim of the provincial district level surveys was to assess and ascertain the general capacity to support Environmental Education (EE) in formal education through their policies, programs, and activities. A multi-faceted assessment of EE capacity and implementation was conducted into 50 primary and secondary education schools in Jambi Province located in district Jambi, Kerinci, Tebo, Merangin, and Tanjung Jabung Timur which represent different levels and types of schools, including public, vocational, religious, pesantren, and International schools (RSBI schools), representation of school that already implement EE as well as schools that do EE as yet. Data were collected from both quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary data. Such data related to policy and regulations, curriculum, workshop results, research findings and recommendations, circulars, media and the results of any school-based programs related to environmental education. A total of 9 assessment instruments were developed for the different levels (provincial, district and school levels) based, as a starting point, on the previous MoNE\u27s own guidelines for EE implementation in schools produced 2007. Steps of data collection are sequentially in-depth interview and questionnaire with selected government officers who are responsible for environmental education at: 1) national level; 2) provincial level with government officers and scholars and NGOs working on environmental education; 3) district level, concerning environment, climate change, disaster response and management; 4) School-level data collection through in-depth interview with the principal or assistant principal areas of curriculum, teachers, students, and school committee; 5) observation of school conditions. All qualitative and quantitative data were disaggregated by sector, department, age, sex, experience, educational background, location, type of school. The result of qualitative and quantitative analysis showed some findings and recommendation concerning: 1) EE Supporting Policy and Programs in Provincial & District Government; 2) EE Supporting Policy and Structure in Schools; 3) Human Resource EE Capacity; 4) EE integration in Curriculum; 5) Assessment for Environmental Learning and Whole School Implementation of EE; 6) Textbooks and Other Multi-media EE Learning Resources: 7) School Facilities, Management, and Utilization for EE Teaching and Learning; 8) Teacher and Student Leadership and Inclusion in Environment and EE related Decision-Making: 9) EE Networks and Partnership

    A registered brand which product has been marketed should get protection according to Law No 15/2001 on Brand. In practice, many brands which are registered later, although it has similar basic elements, will be accepted its registration by the Directorate of Brand; this is contrary to Article 6, paragraphs 1, letters a, b, and c of Law No. 15/2001 on Brand. This thesis used legal normative and descriptive analytic method. Legal remedy can be made by the registered brand holder on the violation against his brand which has similar basic element based on Law No. 15/2001 by filing a complaint to the Court of Commerce on the withdrawal of the product with the brand which has similar basic element or by filing a compensation for the person who has registered the brand which has similar basic element. The Supreme Court\u27s Ruling in the dispute on a brand which has similar basic element in this research is not consistent toward legal protection against the registered brand
