La empatía del periodista : un arma de doble filo

La empatía es emoción pero también disposición, enemiga de la utopía neutral y en otras amante de la pasión vivencial, llave de acceso al interior de las fuentes pero propensa a la manipulación, incompatible con la retórica del distanciamiento pero a favor de la honestidad, a contracorriente de las superficialidades informativas y del tiempo de aquellos que infravaloran la investigación pero que, cuyos efectos, constituyen un arma de filo. ¿Sabremos usarla? ¿Estamos capacitados para conocer los limites del periodismo de la empatía?Empathy is emotion but also disposition, enemy of the neutral utopia and lover of the experiencial passion, key of access to the interior of the sources but prone to manipulation, incompatible with the rhetoric of distancing but in favor of honesty, against the current of informative superficialities and from the time of those who underestimate the investigation but whose effects, constitute a double-edged sword.
