In the title coordination compound, {[Zn(C14H14N4)2](NO3)2·CH3OH}n, the cationic complex forms a looped chain containing 24-membered M 2 L 2 rings. The ligand adopts two distinct conformations that are alternated in subsequent loops. The ZnII ion displays a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry being coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene ligands. The nitrate ions and methanol solvent molecules are located between adjacent double-stranded chains and participate in an extensive net of O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The resulting three-dimensional assembly is further stabilized by π–π interactions between benzene rings [centroid–centroid distances = 3.878 (2) and 3.853 (2) Å]

The mononuclear neutral title complex, [Ni(NCS)2(C10H9N3)2], shows a cis-octahedral geometry around the NiII ion, formed by two chelating di-2-pyridylamine (Hdpa) ligands and two thiocyanate anions. Both amine H atoms are involved in N—H⋯S hydrogen bonding, resulting in the formation of layers of interlinked molecules parallel to the ab plane, which are further held together by weak π–π interactions between adjacent complexes, involving one ring of each dipyridylamine unit [centroid–centroid distance = 3.777 (4) Å], forming a three-dimensional assembly

    (Pentafluoropropionato-κO)tetrakis(trimethylphosphine oxide-κO)copper(II) pentafluoropropionate

The title compound, [Cu(C3F5O2)(C3H9OP)4](C3F5O2), comprises a cationic CuII complex and a disordered pentafluoropropionate counter-ion. The metal atom has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment formed by four O atoms originating from trimethylphosphine oxide molecules and the remaining one belonging to the monodentate pentafluoropropionate anion, which is situated in the basal plane of the pyramid. The molecules are held together in the crystal by a net of weak C—H⋯O and C—H⋯F hydrogen bonds. The counter anion is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.629 (5):0.371 (5) ratio

Rzeszow as a City Taking Steps Towards Developing Sustainable Public Transport

The paper discusses problems related to the functioning of passenger transport in Rzeszow. The dynamic development of the city and the increase in the income of its inhabitants have led to significantly increased traffic within the city, which is detrimental both to the environment and the city&rsquo s inhabitants. It limits the quality of life in the city and in the end generates additional costs for businesses and people in urban areas due to the congestion. In compliance with the policies of the European Union, this harmful tendency needs to be limited. Developing sustainable transportation should largely contribute to this objective. With the city of Rzeszow as example, this article discusses selected actions and measures taken as part of the development of sustainable transportation and demonstrates changes in the functioning of public transport based on the author&rsquo s own research as well as data provided by the city&rsquo s authorities. The analyses show that the actions taken so far have had a positive impact. Document type: Articl

    catena-Poly[[[diaquamanganese(II)]-bis[μ-1,3-bis(1H-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene-κ2 N 3:N 3′]] dinitrate]

In the title compound, {[Mn(C14H14N4)2(H2O)2](NO3)2}n, the MnII ion is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis(1H-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (L) ligands and two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. Two L ligands are related by a centre of symmetry and bridge MnII ions, forming a positively charged polymeric chain in [101]. Uncoordinated nitrate anions further link these chains into layers parallel to the ac plane via O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds

One of the key lessons learnt from the global financial crisis is the necessity to introduce resolution regulations for financial institutions, including insurance undertakings. Even though it has been a decade since the publication of international recommendations on resolution, only three Member States in the European Union have implemented comprehensive resolution frameworks for insurers. The aim of this article is to analyze and compare national legal resolution frameworks adopted in Romania, France and the Netherlands, taking into account the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board. The analysis covers key building blocks of the resolution regulations, i.e. institutional arrangements, planning, objectives and conditions for resolution, resolution tools and financing. The conducted research shows that in many aspects the analyzed national regulations are similar. Nevertheless, the greatest divergencies have been observed in relation to resolution tools and resolution funding, which suggests the need for a Union harmonized approach towards resolution of insurers. Niemniej jednak największe rozbieżności zaobserwowano w odniesieniu do narzędzi i finansowania resolution, co sugeruje potrzebę wypracowania zharmonizowanego unijnego podejścia do resolution ubezpieczycieli
