    Masquerade is the use of mask and disguise by a person to hide a certain identity and make a new identity. The concept of masquerade that is the use of mask has been used in Japanese theatre such as Kabuki and Takarazuka; however those theatres also use the concept of gender bender. Nowadays, the two concepts are applied in Japanese comic that is popular in teenager. In this study, I would like to analyze the use of mask and gender bender by Makoto and Midori in Japanese comic W-Juliet and Midori is a Tomboy. I would like to reveal the strategy that is used by Makoto and Midori in wearing their mask and the meaning of the masks that they use. By this study, I will prove that femininity and masculinity are not related by sex and can be used as mask to create a new identity

    Overcoming Sleep Problems in Senior College Students with Hypnotherapy: A Trial

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in reducing insomnia scores in final year students. This study uses a quasi-experimental single design method and one group pretest experimental design, posttest design, namely the research design used to influence an effect (intervention) in a single case. The methods that used data collection are in the form of observation, unstructured interviews, and measurements through the Pittsburgh Rating Insomnia Scale. The collection of assessment data refers to the author. These results indicate that there is a difference in the level of insomnia between before and after a visual hypnotherapy intervention. From the existing insomnia rate scores, the results show a decrease in the pre, post, and follow-up scores on the insomnia rates seen by the subjects

These institutions can gain a competitive advantage through the application of technology based information systems. In its development, the developers of this system should be able to create a database design that is able to support the system that was developed to be implemented into a wide variety of courses and training institutes are there. To be able to generate a database design that is more general, the initial analysis is done by looking at the business processes of various types of institutions courses. From there it can be determined what data requirements contained in any business activity, then subsequently made the design of its database. The database design is made such that the design is divided into eight modules of tables design, and they are Employee tables, Event tables, Course tables, New Student Registration tables, Placement Test tables, Class Opening and Enrollment tables, Final Exam Implementation tables and Certification Exam tables. The design of the resulting database is able to accommodate all kinds of needs. Thus, this study will contribute to the developers of the system in determining the design of the database

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transactional, reward, and punishment leadership styles on the performance of employees at PT. Royal Sutra Developer and PT. Mega Cipta Properti. The object in this research is employee performance. The form of this research is descriptive quantitative and correlation with the marketing population totaling 36 employees was taken using the total sampling technique method. Tests were carried out by analyzing the results of descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and determination coefficient tests using SPSS version 25. The results showed that transactional, reward, and punishment leadership styles had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Keywords: Transactional leadership style, Reward, Punishment and Employee Performance

    Evaluation of Urban Flood Control Project –Case Study at Bendung Watershed in Palembang City, Indonesia–

    Abstract:  Palembang City locates on a lowland where the altitude is between 12 and 30m above sea level. There are many small rivers that flow into a main river, Musi river. Due to the topographical configuration and a seasonal heavy rainfall, those rivers had been overflowed and the city had an inundation disaster. Bendung watershed is one of the nineteen watersheds in Palembang City, and the watershed also experiences the inundation disaster frequently due to the flood caused by a poor river maintenance and drainage system.The local government of Palembang City has applied some flood control projects such as a normalization project to reduce the flood damages. These measures checked the river flow over the dike, but some areas still suffered from the flood damages due to their topography. Based on the current situation, this study evaluates the efficiency of the existing normalization project in this watershed to find a solution that reduces the flood in those areas. Furthermore, this study investigates the feasibility of infiltration-well system to overcome the flood in those areas. The feasibility study includes the cost and benefit analysis to realize the infiltration-well system for easing the inundation problem.Abstrak: Kota Palembang terletak di dataran rendah dengan ketinggian antara 12 sampai 30m di atas permukaan laut. Karena konfigurasi topografi dan curah hujan musiman yang tinggi, sebagian Kota Palembang sangat rentan terhadap genangan dan bencana banjir . DAS Bendung merupakan salah satu dari sembilan belas DAS yang ada di Kota Palembang, dan DAS tersebut juga sering mengalami bencana genangan akibat banjir yang disebabkan oleh sistem drainase yang buruk.Pemerintah Daerah Kota Palembang telah menerapkan beberapa proyek pengendalian banjir seperti proyek normalisasi sungai. Proyek ini cukup sukses mencegah air sungai bendung meluap melewati tanggul sungai tersebut, tetapi beberapa lokasi yang jauh dari sungai bendung masih mengalami genangan karena topografinya. Berdasarkan kondisi ini, studi ini mengevaluasi efisiensi proyek normalisasi di DAS ini untuk mencari solusi yang dapat mengurangi banjir di wilayah tersebut. Selanjutnya studi ini mengkaji kelayakan sistem sumur resapan untuk mengatasi banjir di wilayah tersebut. Studi kelayakan lain meliputi analisis biaya dan manfaat sistem sumur resapan untuk mengatasi masalah genangan.

    ANALIS KINERJA SISTEM ORTHOGONAL WAVELET DIVISION MULTIPLEXING (OWDM) MENGGUNAKAN PAKET WAVELET

    ABSTRAKSI: Pada komunikasi wireless, tuntutan untuk menyediakan layanan data kecepatan tinggi dengan memberikan kinerja yang baik memunculkan teknik baru dalam peningkatan efisiensi spektrum dan perbaikan kualitas sinyal akibat frequency selective fading. OFDM merupakan teknik multi-carrier yang paling banyak digunakan untuk memenuhi semua tuntutan tersebut. Tetapi dalam pengembangannya, OFDM ini masih memiliki beberapa kelemahan diantaranya masih besarnya nilai PAPR dan kurangnya perbaikan efisiensi spektral daya, sehingga digunakan OWDM untuk mengatasi kekurangan tersebut.Pada OWDM, Invers wavelet packet transform (IWPT) digunakan untuk membangkitkan simbol terkirim pada transmitter dan forward wavelet packet transform (WPT) akan mengembalikan simbol data terkirim tersebut pada receiver. Sistem OWDM ini akan membagi band frekuensi ke dalam beberapa sub-band yang berdiri independen dan terisolasi secara spektral yang disebut subchannelization.Dari hasil simulasi didapatkan OWDM memberikan beberapa hal yang dapat dibandingkan dengan OFDM. Dalam pengujian performansi BER, OWDM memberikan kinerja yang hampir sama dengan OFDM, tetapi unggul dalam mereduksi nilai PAPR yang dihasilkan. Untuk OWDM sendiri jika diimplentasikan maka nilai PAPR terkecil dihasilkan pada orde wavelet yang kecil, wavelet Coiflet, penggunaan jumlah sub-band yang sedikit dan modulasi QPSK. Dan untuk performansi BER terbaik dihasilkan pada orde wavelet yang kecil, wavelet Symlet dan modulasi QPSK. Untuk penambahan jumlah sub-band tidak terlalu menyebabkan perbedaan ketika diimplemetasikan. Dari beberapa kelebihan OWDM tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi kandidat dalam mendesain sistem komunikasi baru yang lebih handal dan menghasilkan kinerja yang lebih baik dari sistem komunikasi sebelumnya.Kata Kunci : Wavelet, multi-carrier, multi-rate, ortogonalitas, PAPR, OWDM, BERABSTRACT: In wireless communications, demand to provide high-speed data services with good performance raises new techniques to increase spectrum efficiency and improved signal quality due to frequency selective fading. OFDM is a multi-carrier technique can be used to accommodate all these requirements. But in its development, this OFDM still has some weaknesses such us still large PAPR values and lack of power spectral efficiency improvements, OWDM used to overcome these deficiencies.In OWDM, inverse wavelet packet transform (IWPT) is used to generate the transmitted symbol on the transmitter and the forward wavelet packet transform (WPT) will restore the transmitted data symbol on the receiver. The OWDM system will divide the frequency band into several sub-bands that independent and isolated spectral called subchannelization.From the test simulation obtained OWDM give some things that can be compared with OFDM. In BER performance, OWDM provide similar performance to OFDM, but lead in reducing the PAPR. In OWDM case, the smallest PAPR value is produced in small-order wavelet, Coiflet, use few sub-bands and QPSK modulation. And for the best BER performance is produced on a small-order wavelet, Symlet and QPSK modulation. Use many sub-bands are not too made the difference.     IDENTIFIKASI KERENTANAN EROSI TANAH BERDASARKAN PARAMETER MORFOMETRI DI SUB DAS KIKIM

    Soil erosion is an environmental problem that occurs in many parts of the world because it involves ecological, social and economic aspects. Kikim sub-watershed is part of the Musi river area, most of the topographic conditions are flat slopes (54.64%), steep slopes with a total percentage of 12.81%. Meanwhile, hydrological conditions have a maximum daily rainfall with a high category so that the potential for erosion and flooding is very high. The purpose of this study was to identify soil erosion vulnerability based on morphometric parameters. The research data used DEM-SRTM 30 meters and then extracted into a map of the sub-watershed and river networks to calculate morphometric parameters. The method used was the weighted sum analysis (WSA) with a GIS application approach. The DEM data excavation found 11 (eleven) sub-watersheds with an area ranging from 81.26 km2 to 220.50 km2, and the total length of the river was 2221.24 km. Based on the weighted results of the WSA method, two sub-watersheds (SB3 and SB7) had very high soil erosion vulnerability, moderate soil erosion vulnerability in SB1, SB2, SB4, SB8, SB10, and SB11. Furthermore, the low soil erosion vulnerability (SB9), and very low soil erosion vulnerability were at SB5 and SB6. The results of this study could be used for conservation zone planning to control soil erosion
