Algebro-Geometric Solutions of the Boussinesq Hierarchy
We continue a recently developed systematic approach to the Bousinesq (Bsq)
hierarchy and its algebro-geometric solutions. Our formalism includes a
recursive construction of Lax pairs and establishes associated
Burchnall-Chaundy curves, Baker-Akhiezer functions and Dubrovin-type equations
for analogs of Dirichlet and Neumann divisors. The principal aim of this paper
is a detailed theta function representation of all algebro-geometric

Similarity classes of 3x3 matrices over a local principal ideal ring
In this paper similarity classes of three by three matrices over a local
principal ideal commutative ring are analyzed. When the residue field is
finite, a generating function for the number of similarity classes for all

Elliptic Solitons and Groebner Bases
We consider the solution of spectral problems with elliptic coefficients in
the framework of the Hermite ansatz. We show that the search for exactly
solvable potentials and their spectral characteristics is reduced to a system
of polynomial equations solvable by the Gr\"obner bases method and others. New
integrable potentials and corresponding solutions of the Sawada-Kotera,

Role of Self-Care in the Patient with Heart Failure
Optimal outcomes and quality of life for patients with heart failure depend on engagement in effective self-care activities. Self-care is a complex set of activities and most clinicians are not adequately prepared to assist their patients to engage in effective self-care. In this paper, we provide an overview of self-care that includes definitions, the importance of self-care to outcomes, the physiologic basis for better outcomes with good self-care, cultural perspectives of self-care, and recommendations for the improvement of self-care. Promotion of effective self-care by all clinicians could substantially reduce the economic and personal burden of repeated rehospitalizations among patients with heart failure
Jet-Induced Emission-Line Nebulosity and Star Formation in the High-Redshift Radio Galaxy 4C41.17
The high redshift radio galaxy 4C41.17 consists of a powerful radio source in
which previous work has shown that there is strong evidence for jet-induced
star formation along the radio axis. We argue that nuclear photoionization is
not responsible for the excitation of the emission line clouds and we construct
a jet-cloud interaction model to explain the major features revealed by the
data. The interaction of a high-powered jet with a dense cloud in the halo of
4C41.17 produces shock-excited emission-line nebulosity through ~1000 km/s
shocks and induces star formation. The CIII to CIV line ratio and the CIV
luminosity emanating from the shock, imply that the pre-shock density in the
line-emitting cloud is high enough (~1-10 cm^-3) that shock initiated star
formation could proceed on a timescale of order a few x 10^6 yrs, well within
the estimated dynamical age of the radio source. Broad (FWHM ~ 100 - 1400 km/s)
emission lines are attributed to the disturbance of the gas cloud by a partial
bow--shock and narrow emission lines (FWHM ~ 500 - 650 km/s) (in particular
CIV) arise in precursor emission in relatively low metallicity gas. The implied
baryonic mass ~ 8 \times 10^{10} solar masses of the cloud is high and implies
that Milky Way size condensations existed in the environments of forming radio
galaxies at a redshift of 3.8. Our interpretation of the data provides a
physical basis for the alignment of the radio, emission-line and UV continuum
images in some of the highest redshift radio galaxies and the analysis
presented here may form a basis for the calculation of densities and cloud

Circadian rhythm of hepatic cytosolic and nuclear estrogen receptors
The distribution of estrogen receptor between the cytosolic and nuclear compartments were evaluated in liver of male rats to determine whether a circadian rhythm exists. Cytosolic receptor reached a maximum level at 400 hours and a minimum at 2000 and 2400 hr. Nuclear receptor reached a maximum level at 800 hr and was lowest at 1600 and 2000 hr. Serum estradiol levels were also highest at 800 hr and lowest at 1600 hr. The variations in cytosolic and nuclear receptors are not reciprocal; in fact, the overall content of receptor in the liver is not constant and also displays a circadian rhythm. © 1986 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted
Gender Diferences in Heart Failure Self-Care: A Multinational Cross-Sectional Study
Background Despite a common view that women are better at self-care, there is very little evidence to support or challenge this perspective in the heart failure (HF) population. Objective The purpose of this study was to determine if there are cross-cultural gender differences in self-reported HF self-care and to describe gender differences in the determinants of HF self-care. Design, setting, and participants A secondary analysis was completed of cross-sectional study data collected on 2082 adults with chronic HF from the United States, Australia and Thailand. Methods Comparisons were made between men and women regarding self-care maintenance, management and confidence as assessed by the Self-Care of Heart Failure Index, as well as the proportion of subjects engaged in adequate self-care. Multivariate comparisons were made to determine if gender explained sufficient variance in HF self-care and the likelihood of reporting adequate self-care, controlling for nine model covariates. Results The sample was comprised of 1306 men and 776 women. Most (73.5%) had systolic or mixed systolic and diastolic HF and 45% had New York Heart Association class III or IV HF. Although small and clinically insignificant gender differences were found in self-care maintenance, gender was not a determinant of any aspect of HF self-care in multivariate models. Married women were 37% less likely to report adequate self-care maintenance than unmarried women. Comorbidities only influenced the HF self-care of men. Being newly diagnosed with HF also primarily affected men. Patients with diastolic HF (predominantly women) had poorer self-care maintenance and less confidence in self-care. Conclusion Differences in HF self-care are attributable to factors other than gender; however, there are several gender-specific determinants of HF self-care that help identify patients at risk for practicing poor self-care
Recollements of Module Categories
We establish a correspondence between recollements of abelian categories up
to equivalence and certain TTF-triples. For a module category we show,
moreover, a correspondence with idempotent ideals, recovering a theorem of
Jans. Furthermore, we show that a recollement whose terms are module categories
is equivalent to one induced by an idempotent element, thus answering a

Exploring the behavioural drivers of veterinary surgeon antibiotic prescribing: a qualitative study of companion animal veterinary surgeons in the UK
Background:
Multi-drug resistant bacteria are an increasing concern in both human and veterinary medicine. Inappropriate prescribing and use of antibiotics within veterinary medicine may be a contributory factor to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The ‘One Health’ Initiative aims to work across species and environments to reduce AMR, however; little is currently known about the factors which influence antibiotic prescribing among veterinary surgeons in companion animal practice.
This paper reports on qualitative data analysis of interviews with veterinary surgeons whose practice partially or wholly focuses on companion animals (N = 16). The objective of the research was to explore the drivers of companion animal veterinary surgeons’ antibiotic prescribing behaviours. The veterinary surgeons interviewed were all practising within the UK (England (n = 4), Scotland (n = 11), Northern Ireland (n = 1)). A behavioural thematic analysis of the data was undertaken, which identified barriers and facilitators to specific prescribing-related behaviours.
Results:
Five components of prescribing behaviours were identified: 1) confirming clinical need for antibiotics; 2) responding to clients; 3) confirming diagnosis; 4) determining dose, duration and type of antibiotic; and 5) preventing infection around surgery (with attendant appropriate and inappropriate antibiotic prescribing behaviours). Barriers to appropriate prescribing identified include: business, diagnostic, fear, habitual practice and pharmaceutical factors. Facilitators include: AMR awareness, infection prevention, professional learning and regulation and government factors.
Conclusion:
This paper uses a behavioural lens to examine drivers which are an influence on veterinary surgeons’ prescribing behaviours. The paper contributes new understandings about factors which influence antibiotic prescribing behaviours among companion animal veterinary surgeons. This analysis provides evidence to inform future interventions, which are focused on changing prescribing behaviours, in order to address the pressing public health concern of AMR
