    O biocarvão (biomassa carbonizada para uso agrícola) tem sido usado como condicionador do solo em todo o mundo, e essa tecnologia é de especial interesse para o Brasil, uma vez que tanto a ?inspiração?, que veio das Terras Pretas de Índios da Amazônia, como o fato de o Brasil ser o maior produtor mundial de carvão vegetal, com a geração de importante quantidade de resíduos na forma de finos de carvão e diversas biomassas residuais, principalmente da agroindústria, como bagaço de cana, resíduos das indústrias de madeira, papel e celulose, biocombustíveis, lodo de esgoto etc. Na última década, diversos estudos com biocarvão têm sido realizados e atualmente uma vasta literatura e excelentes revisões estão disponíveis. Objetivou-se aqui não fazer uma revisão bibliográfica exaustiva, mas sim uma revisão crítica para apontar alguns destaques na pesquisa sobre biochar. In this sense, different types of exposure systems have been studied and in particular the exposure in reverberation chamber. In order to expose multiple drug samples simultaneously, this study evaluate the difference in exposure homogeneity between one or multiple samples exposition. Copyright John Wiley & Sons DOI: 10.1002/erv.833 [Full text of this article is not available in the UHRA]Therapies for anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disorder (BED) and eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS) take as their focus, perhaps of necessity, the eating disorder symptomatology. However, there is increasing evidence of comorbidity of psychopathological mechanisms (e.g. perfectionism, depression) with eating disorders which, left untreated, may diminish any therapeutic effects. Thus identifying the extent of comorbidity in an eating disorder population and assessing the relationship between psychopathological mechanisms and the eating disorder is important. Rasch analysis was applied to the findings from questionnaires (EDI-2; SCL90-R) completed by 105 female patients referred to an eating disorder unit. General psychopathology was found to be more indicative of ‘caseness’ than eating disorder psychopathology. In particular, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and mild interpersonal aspects of psychoticism emerged as important factors across eating disorders. The comorbidity of psychopathological mechanisms needs to be given consideration in the successful treatment of eating disorders.     Lupus erythematosus induced by medications, ultraviolet radiation, and other exogenous agents: a review, with special focus on the development of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus in a genetically predisposed individual.

    Exogenous agents implicated in or suspected of precipitating subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) and lupus erythematosus (LE) are reviewed. An illustrative case of environmentally induced SCLE is presented. A previously healthy 30-year male homozygous for the tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) 308. A promoter allele developed SCLE after spending several hours removing fertilizer- and pesticide-containing hay from an agricultural barn in the springtime. The cutaneous eruption soon resolved, only to reappear 3 weeks later on the day the patient re-entered the barn. An environmental agent present in the barn, coupled with springtime ultraviolet light, likely triggered the disease in this immunogenetically susceptible individual
