Perceived Environmental Supportiveness Scale: Portuguese Translation, Validation and Adaptation to the Physical Education Domain
Aim: Grounded on Self-Determination Theory, this study aimed to translate, adapt and validate the
Perceived Environmental Supportiveness Scale (PESS) in a sample of Portuguese physical education students.
Methods: The global sample was comprised of 964 students (518 females), divided in two groups: the calibration (n
= 469) and the validation one (n = 483), all of them enrolled in two Physical Education (PE) classes/week. Results: The analysis provided support for a one factor and 12 items model, which are in line with the values adopted in the methodology (χ² = 196.123, df = 54, p = <.001, SRMR = .035, NNFI = .943, CFI = .954, RMSEA = .074, 90% CI .063-.085). Results express that the models are invariant in all analysis (i.e., calibration vs. validation, male vs. female, and 3rd vs. secondary cycle; three and single factor models). Conclusion: The present study suggests that the PESS with one factor and 12 items has good psychometric properties and can be used to assess perceived need supportive motivational environments provided by PE teachers. Additionally, invariance analysis showed support for the use of the scale in both genders and in the 3rd and secondary cycles.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Análise da variação do preço do milho no mercado brasileiro de 1995 a 2015
Corn is one of the most produced commodities in the world, and in Brazil the grain shows its relevance within the national agricultural scenario, being an essential grain in the production of various food items such as animal feed. The present work aims to analyze the variations in the monthly behavior of maize prices in the Brazilian market, based on an analysis of the monthly prices of sixty kilos of maize sack from 1995 to 2015 in the states of São Paulo and Paraná, provided on the IPEA DATA digital platform. From these data, we calculated the average return of the series for the analysis of the price variations. The results obtained showed that this commodity presents similar price behavior in the states analyzed, but this behavior is not constant throughout the months analyzed.
HMAPs - Hybrid height-Voxel maps for environment representation
This paper presents a hybrid 3D-like grid-based
mapping approach, that we called HMAP, used as a reliable
and efficient 3D representation of the environment surrounding
a mobile robot. Considering 3D point-clouds as input data, the
proposed mapping approach addresses the representation of
height-voxel (HVoxel) elements inside the HMAP, where free
and occupied space is modeled through HVoxels, resulting in
a reliable method for 3D representation. The proposed method
corrects some of the problems inherent to the representation of
complex environments based on 2D and 2.5D representations,
while keeping an updated grid representation. Additionally,
we also propose a complete pipeline for SLAM based on
HMAPs. Indoor and outdoor experiments were carried out
to validate the proposed representation using data from a
Microsoft Kinect One (indoor) and a Velodyne VLP-16 LiDAR
(outdoor). The obtained results show that HMAPs can provide
a more detailed view of complex elements in a scene when
compared to a classic 2.5D representation. Moreover, validation
of the proposed SLAM approach was carried out in an outdoor
dataset with promising results, which lay a foundation for
further research in the topic
Rethinking Leahy’s Emotional Schema Scale (LESS): Results from the Portuguese Adaptation of the LESS
This study aims to contribute to the study of emotional schemas, through the adaptation of the Leahy Emotional Schema Scale (LESS) to Portuguese. The LESS is a
50 item self-report with 14 theoretical dimensions, representing concepts, evaluations, attributions of emotions, and strategies of emotion regulation (Leahy in Cognit Behav Pract 9(3):177–190, 2002. https://doi.org/10.1016/S1077-7229(02)80048-
7). Translation, back-translation and pilot assessment of LESS’s Portuguese version
were completed. Data was collected online with 396 participants. An exploratory
principal component analysis was conducted. Parallel analysis revealed a 5-component structure, which after the deletion of eight items generated a fnal solution
explaining 48% of the variance. Components internal consistency was adequate
and convergent validity supported with signifcant correlations with difculties in
emotional regulation and emotional processing, and psychopathology. It presents
dimensions that are highly relevant for assessment, case conceptualization and clinical decision making. Although this scale is related to a specifc cognitive theory,
the construct and its subscales may be useful beyond the psychotherapeutic model,
stressing the transtheoretical potential of the scale.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Análise comparativa orçamentária dos materiais utilizados na fundação de uma residência unifamiliar considerando o acréscimo de carga oriunda de placas solares na cidade de Manaus – AM: Comparative budget analysis of the materials used in the foundation of a single-family residence considering the added load from solar panels in the city of Manaus - AM
AV-Courant algebroids and generalized CR structures
We construct a generalization of Courant algebroids which are classified by
the third cohomology group , where is a Lie Algebroid, and is
an -module. We see that both Courant algebroids and
structures are examples of them. Finally we introduce generalized CR structures
on a manifold, which are a generalization of generalized complex structures,
and show that every CR structure and contact structure is an example of a
generalized CR structure.Comment: 18 page
