    PENGUATAN BUDAYA LITERASI EKOLOGIS DI SEKOLAH

    Abstrak: Tingkat literasi peserta didik di Indonesia masih berada pada kategori rendah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dilakukan untuk menguatkan budaya literasi ekologis peserta didik di Sekolah Bala Keselamatan Palu terhadap 56 orang peserta didik baru. Penyuluhan dilakukan melalui ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi menggunakan presentasi dan video tentang isu-isu fenomena ekologis dengan tujuan: (1) Membangun budaya literasi ekologis; dan (2) Membangun perilaku go green school. Hasil evaluasi melalui tanya jawab sepanjang penyuluhan menunjukkan rata-rata persentase “Membangun budaya Literasi Ekologis” sebesar 60,4% dan “Membangun perilaku dan go green school activity” sebesar 84,9%. Hasil evaluasi melalui observasi dan wawancara seminggu setelah penyuluhan menunjukkan adanya kreativitas kelompok “Sasisapo” melakukan proyek “perubahan iklim global” dengan merawat tanaman setiap hari seusai sekolah, menanam tanaman (bunga-bunga dan dua pohon akasia), dan bersih-bersih lingkungan sekolah setiap hari Sabtu. Diharapkan hasil PKM ini menjadi masukan terhadap guruguru dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai budaya literasi ekologis pada pembelajaran di kelas.Abstract: The literacy level of students in Indonesia is still in the low category. Community service (PKM) is carried out to strengthen the ecological literacy culture of students at the Palu Salvation Army School for 56 new students. Counseling is carried out through lectures, questions and answers, and simulations using presentations and videos on issues of ecological phenomena with the aim of: (1) Building a culture of ecological literacy; and (2) Building go green school behavior. The results of the evaluation through questions and answers during the extension showed that the average percentage of "Building an Ecological Literacy culture" was 60.4% and "Building behavior and going green school activity" was 84.9%. The results of the evaluation through observations and interviews a week after the extension showed the creativity of the "Saisapo" group in carrying out a "global climate change" project by taking care of plants every day after school, planting plants (flowers and two acacia trees), and cleaning the school environment every day. Saturday. It is hoped that the results of this PKM will become input for teachers in internalizing the cultural values of ecological literacy in classroom learning

    Mayoritas masyarakat  Desa Sumur bekerja di perusahan sawit. Tanaman Sawit dapat menghasilan minyak sawit. Selain tanaman sawit dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi olahan minyak, jamur yang tumbuh di janjang sawit dapat dimanfatkan menjadi olahan camilan yaitu jamur crispy. Jamur ini secara alami dapat tumbuh pada tumpukkan limbah janjang kelapa sawit diperkebunan kelapa sawit. Pemanfaatan jamur sawit yang tumbuh pada janjang kelapa sawit sebagai media tumbuh jamur sawit belum bayak dimanfaatkan, padahal jamur sawit meiliki nilai ekonomi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi dan melatih masyarakat untuk mengolah jamur sawit menjadi keripik agar memilihi nilai jual. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan di lokasi KKNT Mandiri Edisi Khusus Kebangsaan yaitu di Desa Sumur Kecamatan Dusun Timur Kabupaten Brito Timur. Kegiatan pembuatan keripik jamur dikerjakan dengan Metode demosntrasi yaitu suatu metode dengan memberikan contoh dan praktek secara langsung pembuatan jamur keripik oleh semua peserta pelatihan. Sebelum pelatihan pembuatan keripik sudah di lakukan terlebih dahulu. Untuk Permasalahan pembuan keripik jamur sawit yaitu, jamur sawit harus cepat di olah dengan cara direbus terlebih dahulu agar jamut tidak busuk.Program KKNT Mandiri Edisi Khusus pada tahun 2022 yang telah dilakukan oleh mahasiswa atau pengabdi telah memberikan banyak manfaat kepada masyarakat  seperti meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pengolahan jamur sawit dalam pembuatan keripik jamur dapat meningkatkan produktivitas usah

    Background The immunological escape of tumors represents one of the main ob- stacles to the treatment of malignancies. The blockade of PD-1 or CTLA-4 receptors represented a milestone in the history of immunotherapy. However, immune checkpoint inhibitors seem to be effective in specific cohorts of patients. It has been proposed that their efficacy relies on the presence of an immunological response. Thus, we hypothesized that disruption of the PD-L1/PD-1 axis would synergize with our oncolytic vaccine platform PeptiCRAd. Methods We used murine B16OVA in vivo tumor models and flow cytometry analysis to investigate the immunological background. Results First, we found that high-burden B16OVA tumors were refractory to combination immunotherapy. However, with a more aggressive schedule, tumors with a lower burden were more susceptible to the combination of PeptiCRAd and PD-L1 blockade. The therapy signifi- cantly increased the median survival of mice (Fig. 7). Interestingly, the reduced growth of contralaterally injected B16F10 cells sug- gested the presence of a long lasting immunological memory also against non-targeted antigens. Concerning the functional state of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), we found that all the immune therapies would enhance the percentage of activated (PD-1pos TIM- 3neg) T lymphocytes and reduce the amount of exhausted (PD-1pos TIM-3pos) cells compared to placebo. As expected, we found that PeptiCRAd monotherapy could increase the number of antigen spe- cific CD8+ T cells compared to other treatments. However, only the combination with PD-L1 blockade could significantly increase the ra- tio between activated and exhausted pentamer positive cells (p= 0.0058), suggesting that by disrupting the PD-1/PD-L1 axis we could decrease the amount of dysfunctional antigen specific T cells. We ob- served that the anatomical location deeply influenced the state of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes. In fact, TIM-3 expression was in- creased by 2 fold on TILs compared to splenic and lymphoid T cells. In the CD8+ compartment, the expression of PD-1 on the surface seemed to be restricted to the tumor micro-environment, while CD4 + T cells had a high expression of PD-1 also in lymphoid organs. Interestingly, we found that the levels of PD-1 were significantly higher on CD8+ T cells than on CD4+ T cells into the tumor micro- environment (p < 0.0001). Conclusions In conclusion, we demonstrated that the efficacy of immune check- point inhibitors might be strongly enhanced by their combination with cancer vaccines. PeptiCRAd was able to increase the number of antigen-specific T cells and PD-L1 blockade prevented their exhaus- tion, resulting in long-lasting immunological memory and increased median survival

The technologies in 5G continue to be developed from the new 5G ecosystem, which can transform the vertical industries. This work provides a comprehensive treatment of the 5G technologies, with its characteristics, new technologies that are a part of 5G, comparison with existing technology with a special mention of the technological advantages and disadvantages. The work analyses the salient features of 5G in the context of latency reduction, more connectivity, imparting spectral efficiency, and providing network services without compromising the QoS to a wider range of populations. The limitations of 5G technology are also discussed in the work, which throws light on futuristic research directions

    Sheep farming is an important income for rural communities. The fattening segment has better business prospects than breeding. This conducive business opportunity cannot be accessed bysheep farmerss, due to limited financial capital for purchasing fattening sheep. Community service activities aimed to provide funds to finance fattening by sheep farmers, using a crowdfunding system. Implementation of activities using the territorial mapping method, counseling and assistance to members and administrators of the Riungmukti Multipurpose Cooperative, Kalapanunggal District, Sukabumi, West Java. The program evaluation showed that crowdfunding system by strengthening the Ecobis 2-3-5 profit sharing pattern received appreciation from the majority of sheep farmers and investors. The Ecobis 2-3-5 pattern provides financial feasibility for investors, with a rate of return on investment value added of 11.42 percent/year, greater than interest on bank savings, deposits and interest on people's business credit loans (KUR). Cooperative program operational costs can be covered, as well as increasing employment and business opportunities for farmers. Increasing program performance can be done through investment promotions to attract investors, improving services to farmers, especially the movement to plant forage on empty and/or unproductive land with the addition of legume plants. It is necessary to run monthly communication forums between farmers for business motivation, exchange experiences, and increase the capacity for adopting science and technology

Menghadkan tempoh menyusu kepada sekali sehari selama 30-45 minit nyata dapat memendekkan (p &lt;0.01) tempoh dari masa beranak hingga pengovulan pertama bagi KK dan kacukannya. Tempoh dari beranak hingga kebuntingan nyata lebih pendek (p &lt;0.01) bagi lembu yang menyusukan anak sekali sehari berbanding dengan lembu yang menyusukan anak secara biasa. Kadar kebuntingan nyata lebih tinggi (p &lt;0.05) pada lembu yang menyusukan anak sekali sehari berbanding dengan yang menyusukan anak secara biasa. Pertambahan berat badan harian dari lahir hingga cerai susu pada umur 6 bulan ialah 353.50 g bagi penyusuan biasa dan 333.50 g bagi penyusuan sekali sehari. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa menghadkan tempoh menyusu kepada sekali sehari nyata dapat meningkatkan prestasi pembiakan selepas beranak bagi lembu tempatan tanpa menjejaskan prestasi pertumbuhan anaknya. Abstract The effects of once-daily suckling on the postpartum reproductive performance of 56 Kedah-Kelantan (KK) cattle and its crossbred cows (Brahman-KK, Hereford-KK and Friesian-KK) were studied using clinical observation and progesterone radioimmunoassay. Restricting the suckling to once-daily for 30-45 min reduced significantly (p &lt;0.01) the interval from calving to first ovulation in KK and KK crossbred cows. The calving-to-conception interval was significantly (p &lt;0.01) shorter in once-daily suckled cows than in normal suckled cows, and the conception rate was significantly (p &lt;0.05) higher in the former than in the later group. The average daily gain of the calves from birth to weaning at 6 months old was 353.50 g in normal suckling group and 333.50 g in once-daily suckling group. The study showed that restricted suckling significantly improved the postpartum reproductive performance of the local beef cattle without affecting the growth performance of their calves

    Improving machining performance using alumina powder-added dielectric during electrical discharge machining (EDM)

    Alumina powder was added to dielectric fluid during Electrical discharge machining (EDM) of AISI 304 steel. The main machining parameters of current (A), tool diameter (mm) and powder concentration (g/L) were chosen to determine the EDM machining characteristics of material removal rate (MRR), tool wear rate (TWR) and surface roughness (Ra). This work adopted two-level full factorial experiments. The significant factors that affect the MRR and tool TWR are current, tool diameter and powder concentration. The MRR increases when the current and tool diameter are higher. The presence of powder concentration also increases the MRR. The higher current used and the presence of powder concentration increase the TWR. Meanwhile, a smaller tool diameter gives higher value of TWR. Current and powder concentration are the significant factors to determine the surface roughness of work surfaces. Higher current applied gives high surface roughness, but higher powder concentration gives improved surface finish
