Programs for high-speed Fourier, Mellin and Fourier-Bessel transforms
Several FORTRAN program modules for performing one-dimensional and two-dimensional discrete Fourier transforms, Mellin, and Fourier-Bessel transforms are described along with programs that realize the algebra of high speed Fourier transforms on a computer. The programs can perform numerical harmonic analysis of functions, synthesize complex optical filters on a computer, and model holographic image processing methods

that contains a pump and a dampener, is based on nonlinear mathematical model. Simulation of overlapping stream with using industrial valves is provided by introducing the exponential law of diminishing cross-sectional area of the pipeline. The
basis of calculation is the method of characteristics applied to the simplified Navier-

Nanomechanical morphology of amorphous, transition, and crystalline domains in phase change memory thin films
In the search for phase change materials (PCM) that may rival traditional
random access memory, a complete understanding of the amorphous to crystalline
phase transition is required. For the well-known Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST) and GeTe (GT)
chalcogenides, which display nucleation and growth dominated crystallization
kinetics, respectively, this work explores the nanomechanical morphology of
amorphous and crystalline phases in 50 nm thin films. Subjecting these PCM
specimens to a lateral thermal gradient spanning the crystallization
temperature allows for a detailed morphological investigation. Surface and
depth-dependent analyses of the resulting amorphous, transition and crystalline
regions are achieved with shallow angle cross-sections, uniquely implemented
with beam exit Ar ion polishing. To resolve the distinct phases, ultrasonic
force microscopy (UFM) with simultaneous topography is implemented revealing a
relative stiffness contrast between the amorphous and crystalline phases of 14%
for the free film surface and 20% for the cross-sectioned surface. Nucleation
is observed to occur preferentially at the PCM-substrate and free film
interface for both GST and GT, while fine subsurface structures are found to be
sputtering direction dependent. Combining surface and cross-section
nanomechanical mapping in this manner allows 3D analysis of microstructure and
defects with nanoscale lateral and depth resolution, applicable to a wide range
of materials characterization studies where the detection of subtle variations
in elastic modulus or stiffness are required

Average estimations of the shower energy components are presented and their sum gives E sub 0 (Rho sub 600) - an average function of the relation of E sub 0 with the shower size parameter Rho sub 600 measured at the Yakutsk extensive air showers (EAS) array. Using this relation to the EAS spectrum obtained at the Akeno and Yakutsk arrays the energy spectrum of the cosmic ray total flux within 15 lg (E sub 0,eV) 20 by the EAS methods is recovered

Obtained an analytical dependence for determining the tensile forces acting in cables of the fl at rubberized rope. It takes into account the design of the hoisting engine – the deviations of generating line of the drum from a straight and of the possible break of the cable in rope. A comprehensive account of the impact of various factors on the stress-strain state of the rope allows determining the loss of tractive capacity in operation on the hoisting engine. The results should be taken into account in the design and operation of hoisting and transporting machines with fl at traction bodies
Crossover from hydrodynamic to acoustic drag on quartz tuning forks in normal and superfluid 4He
We present measurements of the drag forces on quartz tuning forks oscillating at low velocities in normal and superfluid 4He. We have investigated the dissipative drag over a wide range of frequencies, from 6.5 to 600 kHz, by using arrays of forks with varying prong lengths and by exciting the forks in their fundamental and first overtone modes. At low frequencies the behavior is dominated by laminar hydrodynamic drag, governed by the fluid viscosity. At higher frequencies acoustic drag is dominant and is described well by a three-dimensional model of sound emission

The extensive air showers (EAS) cascade curves from the Cerenkov light lateral distribution measurements are recovered and the maximum depth fluctuations of the shower development theta x sub m both on the Cerenkov and charged EAS components are defined. At E sub 0 approximates 10 to the 18th power eV the mean content of protons is greater than 85%, and p-air cross section theta sub 0 p-air 750mb
