Le Mouvement Cinq Etoiles: organisation, id\ue9ologie et performances \ue9lectorales d\u2019un nouveau protagoniste de la politique italienne

Le Mouvement 5 Etoiles (M5S en italien) constitue l\u2019innovation la plus significative de la politique italienne ces derni\ue8res ann\ue9es. Son succ\ue8s \ue9lectoral soudain et ses origines et modalit\ue9s d\u2019organisation particuli\ue8res ne rencontrent gu\ue8re de parall\ue8les en perspective compar\ue9e. Dans cet article, nous pr\ue9sentons les principaux aspects de ce parti en commen\ue7ant par une br\ue8ve biographie de son fondateur et leader charismatique, le com\ue9dien Beppe Grillo, depuis les shows t\ue9l\ue9vis\ue9s jusqu\u2019aux salles de spectacle et au blog qui l\u2019a lanc\ue9 comme personnalit\ue9 politique. Nous d\ue9crivons ensuite les principaux traits organisationnels du M5S, le positionnement id\ue9ologique de son \ue9lectorat, les fortunes \ue9lectorales du parti aux niveaux national, infranational et europ\ue9en et ce qu\u2019il \ue9t\ue9 en mesure de r\ue9aliser ou non dans les institutions repr\ue9sentations. Ici, le M5S a opt\ue9 pour le maintien de son caract\ue8re distinct vis-\ue0-vis des partis de l\u2019establishment, m\ueame si cela l\u2019a conduit \ue0 une influence n\ue9gligeable en termes de politiques publiques

In this article the main contents of this special issue are introduced. In particular, some of the main problems related to multi-level electoral competition in Italy are presented and how this work intends to analyse them. It will be shown that both parties and voters have strategically adapted and responded to the challenges of multi-level electoral competition to an extent that was probably unexpected in a system undergoing transformation and whose inefficiencies are a conventional wisdom
