Homage to Everyday People
Influenced by an ever-growing sense of alienation with my homeland, I have been determined to discover through my art practice an ability to challenge conventional notions of home, identity, communication and miscommunication. Exploring these themes, I became increasingly aware of the parallels between everyday life and art practice. By creatively connecting with a diverse amount of local people and their communities, I fulfilled desires to discover a sense of belonging and generated opportunities for others to break through traditional social boundaries and roles
Au-SN Flip-Chip Solder Bump for Microelectronic and Optoelectronic Applications
As an alternative to the time-consuming solder pre-forms and pastes currently
used, a co-electroplating method of eutectic Au-Sn alloy was used in this
study. Using a co-electroplating process, it was possible to plate the Au-Sn
solder directly onto a wafer at or near the eutectic composition from a single
solution. Two distinct phases, Au5Sn and AuSn, were deposited at a composition
of 30at.%Sn. The Au-Sn flip-chip joints were formed at 300 and 400 degrees
without using any flux. In the case where the samples were reflowed at 300
degrees, only an (Au,Ni)3Sn2 IMC layer formed at the interface between the
Au-Sn solder and Ni UBM. On the other hand, two IMC layers, (Au,Ni)3Sn2 and
(Au,Ni)3Sn, were found at the interfaces of the samples reflowed at 400
degrees. As the reflow time increased, the thickness of the (Au,Ni)3Sn2 and
(Au,Ni)3Sn IMC layers formed at the interface increased and the eutectic

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PERKALIAN PESERTA DIDIK DI SEKOLAH DASAR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE JARI AJAIB
Pendidikan merupakan suatu hal penting dalam kehidupan yaitu sebagai sumber pengetahuan dalam menjalani kehidupan yang semakin berkembang. Proses pendidikan dilakukan seumur hidup. Namun, pendidikan tidak sepenuhnya berjalan dengan baik, misalnya banyak peserta didik SD yang menemukan kesulitan dalam bidang matematika diantaranya materi perkalian. Berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti di SDN di Kota Bandung pada peserta didik kelas IV yang berjumlah 33 peserta didik, menunjukkan permasalahan kemampuan perkalian. Untuk memperbaiki hal tersebut diperlukan model - model atau metode pembelajaran yang mempermudah peserta didik dalam materi perkalian. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perkalian adalah dengan metode jari ajaib dimana peserta didik tidak perlu menghafal perkalian 5-9 tetapi hanya menggunakan jari saja. Metode ini berbeda dengan metode jarimatika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan metode jari ajaib dapat meningkatkan kemampuan perkalian peserta didik. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilakuan pada peserta didik kelas IV SD. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, peserta didik kelas IV memiliki kemampuan perkalian yang meningkat. Nilai rata-rata perkalian peserta didik pada saat pre-test adalah 30, kemudian naik pada siklus I menjadi 80 dan berikutnya pada siklus II naik menjadi 91.

Decentralization in Bitcoin and Ethereum Networks
Blockchain-based cryptocurrencies have demonstrated how to securely implement
traditionally centralized systems, such as currencies, in a decentralized
fashion. However, there have been few measurement studies on the level of
decentralization they achieve in practice. We present a measurement study on
various decentralization metrics of two of the leading cryptocurrencies with
the largest market capitalization and user base, Bitcoin and Ethereum. We
investigate the extent of decentralization by measuring the network resources
of nodes and the interconnection among them, the protocol requirements
affecting the operation of nodes, and the robustness of the two systems against
attacks. In particular, we adapted existing internet measurement techniques and
used the Falcon Relay Network as a novel measurement tool to obtain our data.
We discovered that neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum has strictly better properties
than the other. We also provide concrete suggestions for improving both

Genomic characterization of Nocardia seriolae strains isolated from diseased fish
Members of the genus Nocardia are widespread in diverse environments; a wide range of Nocardia species are known to cause nocardiosis in several animals, including cat, dog, fish, and humans. Of the pathogenic Nocardia species, N. seriolae is known to cause disease in cultured fish, resulting in major economic loss. We isolated two N. seriolae strains, CKâ14008 and EM15050, from diseased fish and sequenced their genomes using the PacBio sequencing platform. To identify their genomic features, we compared their genomes with those of other Nocardia species. Phylogenetic analysis showed that N. seriolae shares a common ancestor with a putative human pathogenic Nocardia species. Moreover, N. seriolae strains were phylogenetically divided into four clusters according to host fish families. Through genome comparison, we observed that the putative pathogenic Nocardia strains had additional genes for iron acquisition. Dozens of antibiotic resistance genes were detected in the genomes of N. seriolae strains; most of the antibiotics were involved in the inhibition of the biosynthesis of proteins or cell walls. Our results demonstrated the virulence features and antibiotic resistance of fish pathogenic N. seriolae strains at the genomic level. These results may be useful to develop strategies for the prevention of fish nocardiosis.

QCD axion and quintessential axion
The axion solution of the strong CP problem is reviewed together with the
other strong CP solutions. We also point out the quintessential
axion(quintaxion) whose potential can be extremely flat due to the tiny ratio
of the hidden sector quark mass and the intermediate hidden sector scale. The
quintaxion candidates are supposed to be the string theory axions, the model

Asymmetric WIMP dark matter
In existing dark matter models with global symmetries the relic abundance of
dark matter is either equal to that of anti-dark matter (thermal WIMP), or
vastly larger, with essentially no remaining anti-dark matter (asymmetric dark
matter). By exploring the consequences of a primordial asymmetry on the coupled
dark matter and anti-dark matter Boltzmann equations we find large regions of
parameter space that interpolate between these two extremes. Interestingly,
this new asymmetric WIMP framework can accommodate a wide range of dark matter
masses and annihilation cross sections. The present-day dark matter population
is typically asymmetric, but only weakly so, such that indirect signals of dark
matter annihilation are not completely suppressed. We apply our results to
existing models, noting that upcoming direct detection experiments will

Lepton Number Violation from Colored States at the LHC
The possibility to search for lepton number violating signals at the Large
Hadron Collider (LHC) in the colored seesaw scenario is investigated. In this
context the fields that generate neutrino masses at the one-loop level are
scalar and Majorana fermionic color-octets of SU(3). Due to the QCD strong
interaction these states may be produced at the LHC with a favorable rate. We
study the production mechanisms and decays relevant to search for lepton number
violation signals in the channels with same-sign dileptons. In the simplest
case when the two fermionic color-octets are degenerate in mass, one could use
their decays to distinguish between the neutrino spectra. We find that for
fermionic octets with mass up to about 1 TeV the number of same-sign dilepton
events is larger than the standard model background indicating a promising
signal for new physics.Comment: minor corrections, added reference
