Taiwan`s domestic politics since the presidential elections 2000

This paper looks at several developments that have taken place in domestic politics on Taiwan since the election of Chen Shui-bian as president of the Republic of China on Taiwan in 1998. After discussing the political successes and failures of the incumbent Chen administration, it analyses its strategy in dealing with the consequences of divided government. Some of the problems encountered by the administration are traced to changes in the political system of Taiwan that took place during the presidency of Lee Teng-hui. The paper also deals with the new role of the president as chief executive and functioning of the legislative. ANALISIS KEMENANGAN LEE CHONG WEI DALAM PERTANDINGAN MELAWAN CHEN LONG Fajar Ahsani ABSTRAK Olahraga Bulutangkis merupakan olahraga yang paling digemari di Indonesia setelah sepakbola. Bulutangkis adalah olahraga yang dimainkan oleh dua orang (untuk tunggal) atau dua pasang (untuk ganda), untuk memainkan olahraga ini kita harus mengetahui teknik-teknik dasar seperti servisforehand pendek, servisforehand tinggi, underhand, lob, smash, dropshot, netting dan juga backhand. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui teknik yang digunakan Lee Chong Wei dan Chen Long dalam Pertandingan Yonex sunrise Hongkong Open 20 November 2015, Celcom Axiata Malaysia Open 10 April 2016, dan Dong Feng Citroen Badminton Asia Championships 1 Mei 2016. Dari hasil penelitian analisis kemenangan Lee Chong Wei dalam pertandingan melawan Chen Long menunjukkan bahwa dalam 3 pertemun Lee Chong Wei mendominasi jalannya permainan. Serangan Lee Chong Wei lebih tersusun rapi daripada serangan Chen Long, serangan Lee Chong Wei dimulai dengan teknik servisforehand pendek, netting, dan smash. Chen Long sering kehilangan konsentrasi jika sudah terkena serangan Lee Chong Wei. Kata kunci: Analisis, Bulutangkis, Pertandingan Bulutangkis, Teknik bulutangkis. This research is a descriptive analysis to know about Lee Chong Wei’s technique and Chen Long’s technique in the gameYonex sunrise Hong Kong Open November 20th 2015,Celcom Axiata Malaysia Open April 10th2016,andDong Feng Citroen Badminton Asia Championships May 1th, 2016. From the analysis research Lee Chong Wei’s glory in the games against Chen Long showed that within 3 during the meeting, Lee Chong Wei dominated the games. Lee Chong Wei attack more neatly than Chen Long’s attack, Lee Chong Wei’s attack began with a short forehand service techniques, netting, and smash. Economic Sizing of Distributed Energy Resources for Reliable Community Microgrids

Community microgrids offer many advantages for power distribution systems. When there is an extreme event happening, distribution systems can be seamlessly partitioned into several community microgrids for uninterrupted supply to the end-users. In order to guarantee the system reliability, distributed energy resources (DERs) should be sized for ensuring generation adequacy to cover unexpected events. This paper presents a comprehensive methodology for DERs selection in community microgrids, and an economic approach to meet the system reliability requirements. Algorithms of discrete time Fourier transform (DTFT) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) are employed to find the optimal solution. Uncertainties of load demand and renewable generation are taken into consideration. Sketch-based virtual human modelling and animation

Animated virtual humans created by skilled artists play a remarkable role in today’s public entertainment. However, ordinary users are still treated as audiences due to the lack of appropriate expertise, equipment, and computer skills. We developed a new method and a novel sketching interface, which enable anyone who can draw to “sketch-out” 3D virtual humans and animation. We devised a “Stick FigureFleshing-outSkin Mapping” graphical pipeline, which decomposes the complexity of figure drawing and considerably boosts the modelling and animation efficiency. We developed a gesture-based method for 3D pose reconstruction from 2D stick figure drawings. We investigated a “Creative Model-based Method”, which performs a human perception process to transfer users’ 2D freehand sketches into 3D human bodies of various body sizes, shapes and fat distributions. Our current system supports character animation in various forms including articulated figure animation, 3D mesh model animation, and 2D contour/NPR animation with personalised drawing styles. Moreover, this interface also supports sketch-based crowd animation and 2D storyboarding of 3D multiple character interactions. A preliminary user study was conducted to support the overall system design. Our system has been formally tested by various users on Tablet PC. After minimal training, even a beginner can create vivid virtual humans and animate them within minutes
