Spontaneous perforation of the rectum presenting as fetal ascites is an extremely rare occurrence. We report the case of an infant where antenatally detected fetal ascites was attributable to intraperitoneal rectal perforation. Investigations directed to identify common causes of this condition did not reveal any aetiology. Patient underwent surgical colostomy formation on day two of life, which was reversed at six weeks of age. We suggest that meconium ascites and peritonitis should be considered as differential diagnoses in fetuses with ascites and, if the neonate requires a laparotomy, the rectal area should be thoroughly inspected to exclude this entity

Donkey milk: chemical make-up, biochemical features, nutritional worth, and possible human health benefits - Current state of scientific knowledge

    Get PDF
Milk and milk derivatives are widely consumed because of their high nutritional density. Donkey milk and milk products have been consumed since ancient times. The use of donkey milk in the human diet is gaining popularity. The abundance of antibacterial components and protective elements in donkey milk sets it apart from the milk of other animals. Like human milk, donkey milk has low fat, high lactose, and low casein/whey protein ratio. Donkey milk whey protein's anti-proliferative properties imply lung cancer treatment. Alpha-lactalbumin, a type of protein, has been found to have antiviral, anticancer, and anti-stress properties. Donkey milk, like human milk, includes a low amount of casein and a smaller quantity of beta-lactoglobulin than cow milk. Donkey milk is an alternative for newborns with cow milk protein allergy and lactose intolerance since it has a higher amount of lactose, improves palatability, and prevents allergies. Osteogenesis, arteriosclerosis therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, accelerated aging, and hypocholesterolemic diets are some areas where donkey milk is beneficial. Since it contains probiotic lactobacilli strains, fermented beverages can be made with donkey milk. Donkey milk moisturizes skin due to its high vitamin, mineral, and polyunsaturated fatty acid content. The chemical makeup and potential therapeutic benefits of donkey milk warrant additional research. This has led to a rise in interest in producing dairy goods derived from donkey milk. Donkey milk has been used to make cheese, ice cream, milk powder, and even some experimental useful fermented drinks. The present article summarises what we know about donkey milk's chemical makeup, biological functions, nutritional worth, and possible human health benefits

Cinnamon as a Potential Feed Additive: Beneficial Effects on Poultry Health and Production Performances – An Update

    Get PDF
According to the Food and Agricultural Organization, global poultry output increased from approximately 115 million tons in 2016 to around 136 million tons in 2023. Poultry production has increased significantly with the dramatic uptick in meat and egg demand. Feed accounts for between 65 and 70 percent of total production costs, making it the largest chicken industry expense. This is why it's important to maximize the transformation of poultry feed into feed with a high biological value while taking as many steps as possible to protect feed quality and reduce feed costs. The use of feed additives in poultry feed has recently gained popularity and has been essential to increase feed efficiency and growth rate, which typically leads to reduced costs. The meat's texture, consistency, and nutritional content are all improved, and its shelf life is lengthened as a bonus. Feed additives are a fantastic tool for boosting a poultry farm's bottom line. For example, cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is often used as a traditional feed supplement. Rather than antibiotics, the poultry industry could benefit from using cinnamon as a natural antibiotic replacement, which would benefit animal welfare, consumer health, and the bottom line. The performance index, feed intake, FCE performance, and weight growth of poultry can all be improved by including cinnamon in the feed at varied concentrations. The digestive health and intestinal microbial population of hens are enhanced by a diet containing bioactive components of cinnamon. Cinnamon essential oils' popularity stems from their many valuable features, such as their ability to increase gastric enzyme synthesis and other biofunctional benefits. This review focuses on the possible advantages of cinnamon as a natural feed supplement for chickens, particularly about their intestinal microbiota, blood chemistry, nutrient absorption, gene expression, and immunology

    Early product learning

The Early Product Learning (EPL) was designed to improve the yield for ICs by understanding the current reject trends and thus minimize the customer return spills. This project mainly focuses on the analysis of electrical failure. There are mainly four main phases in every failure analysis project. The first phase is non-destructive analysis where the analyst receive the reject sample and perform analysis such as external visual inspection, X ray imaging, acoustic imaging etc. which helps to learn as much about the sample without altering it in anyway. The next phase is the defect localization. Here the analyst replicates the failing condition reported by the customer. Without localizing the failure, the project cannot continue, since there is no evidence to show that a defect even exists. Once the fault is confirmed, the next phase is fault isolation, where the analyst do an in-depth destructive physical analysis and examination. Finally, destructive analysis and documentation which serve as the culmination of all the data collection from which an analyst will perform delayering, a cross-section, or other destructive technique to reveal the defect in its entirety and identify its most likely cause. Various advanced semiconductor failure analysis techniques were used, including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Curve Tracer, Scanning Acoustic Topography (SAT) and X-ray inspection among others to isolate the root cause of electrical failure in multiple types of devices based on varied process technologies.Master of Science (Green Electronics

An empirical analysis of green technology innovation and ecological efficiency based on a greenhouse evolutionary ventilation algorithm fuzzy-model

    No full text
The combination and convergence of energy-intensive industries developed by ecological factors based on energy clusters is discussed in this paper. Here, a few models for the prediction of greenhouse effects are used as a single type of modeling. In this model, the solar panel system is included as a measure of the greenhouse effect; Commitment Unit (CU) formulations are changed with flouted logic because solar integrations and other unknown variables are intermittent. In general, the greenhouse model with natural ventilation temperature prediction is incomplete, in which the resulting fluid logical CU problem can be solved with an evolutionary algorithm based on the definition and the theory of quantum calculation. This paper proposes a Fuzzy Model-Based Quantum Greenhouse Evolutionary Ventilation Algorithm (FM-BSQGEVA) which helps to minimize the CU problem. The QGEVA is updated to include a hierarchy-group-oriented scheme to tackle the non-linear nature of the issue and its multifaceted nature. The QGEVA is further developed to support a new binary differential operator and several genetic algorithm operators with a redefined rotational angle look-up. The chances that such operators are used on separate solutions are affected by stating the membership function based on their related fitness. The fitness function is calculated through a combination of the penalty function, objective function and the added fluid function. The models built can be used to regulate and control natural ventilation in greenhouse effects. This finding shows that an energy-intensive industrial cluster\u27s environmental chain of the industry has improved eco-efficiency
