Preliminary results obtained with 320g bolometers with simultaneous ionization and heat measurements are described. After a few weeks of data taking, data accumulated with one of these detectors are beginning to exclude the upper part of the DAMA region. Prospects for the present run and the second stage of the experiment, EDELWEISS-II, using an innovative reversed cryostat allowing data taking with 100 detectors, are briefly described.Comment: IDM 2000, 3rd International Workshop on the Identification of Dark Matter, York (GB), 18-22/09/2000, v2.0 minor modification

ManoirWe present in this article the project of creation of repository of XML models which we carried out within the framework of co-operation between laboratory Paragraphe, Edifrance, Mutu-XML, GFII, FING and UIC. We present also general context and interest of the projet. A description of the application with its various functionalities relating to access, research, division and revision of the models will be presented. Lastly, we will present the results and perspective of this project

The Edelweiss Dark Matter Experiment is installed in the Modane Underground Laboratory since 1994. In 1997 the first detector of a 70 g heat and ionization Ge low-temperature detector built by the collaboration showed its discrimination capabilities. During the last two years the installation was upgraded, and a new generation of 70 g Ge detectors is operational. The detector environment is drastically controlled to avoid radioactive contamination. A test run with two new 70 g detectors shows a reduction by a factor of ten in the background level before gamma -ray rejection which is now around 2 events/kg/keV/day. Three 320 g Ge cryogenic detectors have been constructed and are now being: tested and should soon be operational in the present cryostat. A new cryostat is being built and will allow a detection volume of 100 1. It is expected to be installed in Modane next year. in a first step of 21x320 g Ge detectors, the Edelweiss-II experiment should test an important fraction of the MSSM Susy parameter space
