Students with administrative care measures have historically faced difficulties in achieving school goals. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the declaration of a lockdown, which accelerated changes in the schools’ pedagogical actions. This investigation analyses the strategies used by the educational system to promote the academic inclusion of students who have an open protection file in the child welfare system within the context of Covid-19. Two different phases are compared: Phase 1) from the March lockdown to the end of the 2019/20 school year; Phase 2) The first six weeks of the beginning of the 2020/21 school year. Longitudinal follow-ups were carried out with adolescents in care with a sample of N = 10 (Phase 1) and N = 11 (Phase 2). Based on the grounded theory, information is supplemented by case studies through interviews with educational professionals, N = 14 (Phase 1) and N = 11 (Phase 2). The results indicate deficits of schools’ adaptability to the situation of the students suffering social exclusion and difficulties in monitoring when students do not attend school in person and do school activities at home. It is concluded that the design of the educational policy applied in the context of the pandemic does not take the social factor into account. (DIPF/Orig.

In this research the relationship between a series of cultural dimensions and the emotional verbal and non verbal reactions in three prototypical emotions (joy, anger and sadness) will be analyzed. Results show that Asians has a stronger normative system of emotional display rules than other groups. They also show lower gender differences. In order to predict lower emotional verbal and non verbal expression the most important cultural dimension is cultural masculinity. High power distance cultures foster emotional reactions which respect and legitimize status differences. This dimension also predicts a lower verbal expression of negative emotions. On the other hand, Uncertainty Avoidance is not generally associated to a high emotional expression. Finally. From aesthetics to ethics: Testing the link between an emotional experience of awe and the motive of quixoteism on (un)ethical behavior

According to the awe-quixoteism hypothesis, one experience of awe may lead to the engagement in challenging actions aimed at increasing the welfare of the world. However, what if the action involves damaging one individual? Across four experiments (N = 876), half participants were induced to feel either awe or a different (pleasant, activating, or neutral-control) emotion, and then decided whether achieving a prosocial goal (local vs. global). In the first three experiments this decision was assessed through a dilemma that involved to sacrifice one individual’s life, additionally in Experiments 2 and 3 we varied the quality of the action (ordinary vs. challenging). In Experiment 4, participants decided whether performing a real helping action. Overall, in line with the awe-quixoteism hypothesis, the results showed that previously inducing awe enhanced the willingness to sacrifice someone (Experiments 1, 2 and 3) or the acceptance to help (Experiment 4) when the decision involved engaging in challenges aimed at improving the welfare of the world

Interannual variability of zooplankton biomass and structure in Ría de Vigo ( Galiza, NW Spain) and adjacent shelfwaters between 1994 and 2000.

Changes in zooplankton biomass and structure in relation to hidroclimatological indexes in Ría de Vigo and adjacent shelf waters are presented for the period 1994-2000. Zooplankton biomass showed an inverse relation with NAO, the Gulf Current and upwelling indexes. The interannual variations in zooplankton composition showed a gook correlation to changes in the hidroclimatological indexes. The presence of warm water species of Copepoda (i.e., Temora stylifera) and Cladocera (i.e., Evadne spinifera, Penilia avirostris) between 1996 and 1998 is reported. In the same years a high abundance of oceanic copepods, such as: Paraeuchaeta hebes, Centropages chierchiae, Oithona plumifera and copepodits of Calanus helgolandicus have been observed inside Ría de Vig

[ABSTRACT] This study deals with the description of two Ordovician tabulate corals from Argentine Precordillera. This is the first description of Ordovician tabulate corals in Argentina. They are one specimen of aff. Paleofavosites sp., from the Las Aguaditas Formation and another specimen of ?Billingsaria sp., from the Las Plantas Formation, both Caradoc in age. The scarcity of the material and problematic microstructural details in the first case and the bad preservation of the specimen in the second case impede more precise identifications
