Differences in conditions of employment between sport managers with and without degree in physical activity and sport sciences
ObjectiveAnalyze existing in bachelor ́s degree labor differences between managers with college sports related Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport compared to those without this degree. Methods:The sample composed by268 managers who carry out their main activity in sports centers in Spain(=34.38 years, SD=6.68). The sample was segmented into two groups: professional that are graduates in Sport Sciences Degree (n=104) and, professionals who did not have this degree (n=164). Results:Graduates are significantly (p2,000 m2). Also, they have a higher intention to leave the company or the working sector. On the contrary, education is not a determining factor in the gender of the subjects or in the monthly salary. Conclusions:In order to avoid the unfair professional intrusion model that incorporates low-skilled managers and damage the image and rights of managers with university degree, a proper regulation that gathers the same criteria of the professional qualifications of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport in Spain is required. This would help to sports organizations to retain their staff with university degree in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport

A systematic review of providers' experiences of facilitating group antenatal care
BACKGROUND: Group antenatal care is a rapidly expanding alternative antenatal care delivery model. Research has shown it to be a safe and effective care model for women, but less is known about the perspectives of the providers leading this care. This systematic review examined published literature that considered health care professionals' experiences of facilitating group antenatal care.
METHODS: Systematic searches were conducted in seven databases (Cinahl, Medline, Psychinfo, Embase, Ovid Emcare, Global Health and MIDRS) in April 2020. Qualitative or mixed methods studies with a significant qualitative component were eligible for inclusion if they included a focus on the experiences of health care providers who had facilitated group antenatal care. Prisma screening guidelines were followed and study quality was critically appraised by three independent reviewers. The findings were synthesised thematically.
RESULTS: Nineteen papers from nine countries were included. Three main themes emerged within provider experiences of group antenatal care. The first theme, 'Giving women the care providers feel they want and need', addresses richer use of time, more personal care, more support, and continuity of care. The second theme, 'Building skills and relationships', highlights autonomy, role development and hierarchy dissolution. The final theme, 'Value proposition of group antenatal care', discusses provider investment and workload.
CONCLUSIONS: Health care providers' experience of delivering group antenatal care was positive overall. Opportunities to deliver high-quality care that benefits women and allows providers to develop their professional role were appreciated. Questions about the providers' perspectives on workload, task shifting, and the structural changes needed to support the sustainability of group antenatal care warrant further exploration
Simultaneous free-volume modeling of the self-diffusion coefficient and dynamic viscosity at high pressure
International audienceA free-volume model of the dynamic viscosity and the self-diffusion coefficients was discussed. The temperature-pressure variations of the dynamic viscosity and the self-diffusion coefficients of small molecules were predicted. The compounds, carbon tetrachloride, cyclohexane, benzene, chlorotrifluoromethane, tetramethylsilane and methylcyclohexane were used for the investigation. The relation between microstructure, free volume and different complex thermophysical properties were emphasized by the model
After recording the main experimental characteristics of the time evolution of the dielectric properties of ice, we propose a model based on the existence of an ice microstructure. One can thus set up theoretically a kinetic evolution corresponding to a solid-solid transformation and this gives a good representation of the experimental results.
Free-volume viscosity model for fluids in the dense and gaseous states
cited By 78International audienceAn approach to model the viscosity of Newtonian fluids is presented. The approach is based on the free-volume concept and on the diffusion models of the molecules. It takes very correctly into account the transition between gas and liquid. The approach emphasizes the relation between microstructure, dynamic viscosity, and free volume in the understanding of such a complex property as dynamic viscosity
A study of the dielectric properties of water emulsions obtained after a crystallization/melting cycle
The dielectric properties of water emulsions (the continuous medium of which is a mixture of lanoline, tensio-active agent and paraffin oil) obtained after a congelation/fusion cycle are compared with those of water emulsions prior to any change in state. The absorption line, whose slope prior to freezing corresponds to 0.22 eV - activation energy of conductivity of the water dispersed within the emulsion — shifts after a cycle towards lower frequencies (at 0 °C) to settle at a position with which a higher activation energy is associated. Maintenance at a positive temperature brings the absorption line back to its initial position. The phenomenon is discussed in terms of fusion and of the structure of liquid water immediately after fusion.
