    THE IMPORTANCE OF EMPLOYMENT AND WORKFORCE EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF ACHIEVING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS OF THE 2030 AGENDA

    Some of the most important priorities of the 2030 Agenda are employment and education. These are seen as key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in relation to poverty and social inequalities. Education and training can ensure better job opportunities and higher wages, as well as improved quality of life and well-being. In this article we aim to carry out a statistical analysis of employment and education using appropriate research methods. The aim of this analysis is to identify current trends and assess progress towards achieving the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda in employment and education. To carry out this analysis, we will use available national and international statistical data and appropriate research methods, which will help us to identify the factors influencing employment and education and to assess the effectiveness of existing policies. We will analyse labour force participation rates in different sectors of the economy, as well as differences in employment, unemployment and other elements of employment. We will use this data to identify current needs and trends and to develop policies and programs that support decent employment and quality education. At the same time, we will conduct a statistical analysis of education, access to education and also identify gender or age differences in access to education

    The ongoing evolution and rapid transformations occurring in the labor market, influenced by economic progress, are leading to the emergence of novel job roles and substantial modifications in conventional occupations. These changes underscore the importance of adapting educational systems to anticipate the future demands of the labor market, ensuring seamless transitions for individuals from educational institutions to the workforce. Education and employment are interdependent. On one hand, the European Union (EU) and its member states require an effective education system that equips individuals with skills aligned with labor market demands. However, it is also imperative to provide a proficient and inventive workforce market that amplifies efficiency while fostering individual growth and societal integration within the population. The key dimensions frequently analyzed to characterize the state of the education market and evaluate its implications on the labor market include the demand for education (participation rates in education), characteristics of the education supply (financial aid for tertiary education), and outcomes of the educational system (early school leavers, tertiary graduates, youth not in employment, education, or training). To gather relevant information, the statistical database Eurostat, Tempo-online (National Institute of Statistics), as well as data provided by the European Commission, the Council of the Union, and the European Parliament were utilized

    Clinically Considerations About Induced Experimental Periodontitis in Rats Treated by Photodynamic Therapy

    Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the soft and hard tissue supporting the tooth, favoring the adhesion of bacteria that can generate dental laxity and bone resorption. This study aimed to test an experimental protocol for inducing periodontitis which allows a close clinical assessment and to evaluate the effectiveness of a photodynamic therapy (PDT) protocol to reverse the associated clinical signs. Fifteen Wistar male rats were used for this study, divided into three equal groups. Tooth scaling, rooting and planning of the first superior left molar were performed in all rats, causing the displacement of the gingiva in order to create an accumulation of plaque. A 5-0 cotton ligature was placed, provoking an inflammatory response removed after ten days. One group received one session of PDT; another group received 3 PDT; the last one represented the control group, with no treatment. Clinical evaluation was represented by assessing the body weight, mobility index and bleeding. A rat grimace scale was used to determine the pain. The results showed clinical aspects of periodontitis and healing tissue proved microscopically. The tested procedure can provide all the key biological factors present in periodontal disease and an option for reversing the clinical aspects

    Temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome – a therapeu-tic approach

    Background: Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is responsible for vital functions like mas-tication, swallowing, and suction reflex and other relational functions, like talking and phonation. The etiology of temporomandibular joint disorders is multifactorial and in-volves subjective and objective clinical symptomatology. (2) Methods: The therapy is complex and encompasses a series of methods that interconnects various medical spe-cialties. Bad habits and parafunction are risk factors that may initiate and exacerbate a temporomandibular joint pathology. This prospective study aimed to show the positive impact of correct multidisciplinary therapy on the complex of TMJ disorders - pain and bad oral behaviors. The therapy methods used in this study were: medical, prosthetic, or-thodontic, surgical, and physiotherapy (PKT). (3) Results: The data obtained showed good results if the oral habits and TMJ disorders are treated correctly and simultaneous-ly. (4) Conclusions: All therapeutical approaches addressed in this study had beneficial effects on the recovery of the temporomandibular joint

    In the last decade, there has been growing interest in the food industry in replacing synthetic chemicals with natural products with bioactive properties. This study’s aims were to determine the chemical composition and the antioxidant properties of the essential oil of Pastianica sylvestris. The essential oil was isolated with a yield of 0.41% (w/v) by steam distillation from the dried seeds and subsequently analysed by GC-MS. Octyl acetate (78.49%) and octyl hexanoate (6.68%) were the main components. The essential oil exhibited an excellent activity for the inhibition of primary and secondary oxidation products for cold-pressed sunflower oil comparable with butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), which were evaluated using peroxide and thiobarbituric acid values. The antioxidant activity of the essential oil was additionally validated using DPPH radical scavenging (0.0016 ± 0.0885 mg/mL), and β-carotene-linoleic acid bleaching assays. Also, the amounts of total phenol components (0.0053 ± 0.0023 mg GAE/g) were determined
