    Variasi temperatur pada proses squeeze casting berbahan magnesium semi solid terhadap hasil kekerasan

    Pengecoran squeeze merupakan pengecoran yang dimana dalam proses tersebut menggunakan tekanan tinggi dengan cetakan berbentuk die-punch diberikan pada logam cair saat terjadi pemadatan. Pada pengecoran semi solid temperatur tuang sangat berpengaruh pada hasil kekerasan material itu sendiri. Pada proses penelitian yang akan dilakukan, alat squeeze casting dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa dengan penambahan elemen pemananas (coil heater) pada cetakan sehingga proses pengecoran dilakukan di dalam cetakan tersebut. Dengan material Magnesium, tekanan 350 MPa serta variasi temperatur 3500C, 4000C, 4500C dan 5000C untuk lama waktu penekanan 1 menit, dengan holding time 5 menit serta tekanan gas argon 1 bar dan satu sampel  tanpa perlakuan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai kekerasan bahan serta struktur mikro yang ada pada spesimen tersebut sehingga nantinya hasil dari pengujian ini dapat diaplikasikan sesuai kebutuhan yang diharapkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini terlihat semakin tinggi temperatur, semakin besar, semakin banyak pula melting pada sampel, terlihat pada temperatur 5000C sehingganya meningkatkan nilai kekerasan sebesar 49,5 HRV, serta berpengaruh pada hasil struktur mikro bandingkan dengan material awal tanpa proses, pada hasil SEM memperlihatkan  pada pembesaraan 1000 kali, Ukuran dari struktur material berubah menjadi lebih homogen seiring naiknya temperatur selama proses squeeze casting

    Plumbing system planning is an important part of planning a building, but when a building has changed its function it is also necessary to redesign the plumbing system to provide clean water for the occupants. This research aims to redesign the plumbing system for clean water in a shopping center building. Plumbing system redesign refers to SNI 8153:2015 concerning Plumbing Systems in Buildings. The fulfillment of clean water requirement is planned to use a water source from the existing ground tank pumped to the roof tank and flowed by gravity to each plumbing tool. The results of the calculation of the average water requirements for shopping center building are 13200 liters/hour. The capacity of the roof tank required for clean water is 10200 liters. Pump power required is 3,24 kW. The type of pipe planned for this clean water plumbing system is a Polypropylene Random pipe (PPR) with the total of material cost budget plan is Rp291.977.300,0

    The development of industry as well as science and technology requires humans to fulfill various kinds of needs in their lives. One of them is the need for metal-based goods. Many objects around us, both in the automotive industry and in the steel-based industry for household purposes, etc., are given a metallic finish to protect and beautify the metal. The metal coating technique that is often used in the metal industry is electroplating. Electroplating comes from two words, namely electro and plating or electricity and coating that uses a deposition system. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of electrolyte temperature on the thickness and adhesive strength of low carbon steel in the electroplating process. The cathode used is low carbon steel with dimensions of 70 mm x 25 mm x 20 mm, while the anode used is Nickel (Ni) and the bath for plating is 60 cm long, 30 cm depth, and 30 cm wide. Two anodes on the right and left side of the anode with an anode-cathode distance of 10 cm, and using an electric voltage of 7.5 Volts, and using variations in electrolyte temperature of 450C, 500C, 550C, 600C, 650C and room temperature. From the results of the study found the optimal thickness value with 0.021 mm at a temperature of 600C. Meanwhile, the optimal value for coating adhesive strength from electroplating research is 60℃ with a very high adhesive strength value of 26.53 MPa

    Penelitian senyawa bioaktif bahan pangan menjadi topik yang banyak dilakukan oleh para peneliti karena selain memberikan asupan nutrisi serta  pengaruhnya terhadap kesehatan. Susu sapi dan kacang-kacangan sebagai sumber protein hewani dan nabati diketahui mengandung sejumlah senyawa bioaktif yang memberikan efek terhadap kesehatan manusia. Tujuan review ini adalah untuk mengetahui senyawa bioaktif pada susu sapi dan beberapa jenis kacang-kacangan lokal (kedelai, kacang hijau dan koro pedang) beserta pengaruhnya pada kesehatan sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan secara tunggal ataupun campuran untuk pangan fungsional. Berdasarkan review beberapa jurnal yang ada senyawa bioaktif pada susu sapi pada review ini difokuskan pada laktoferin yang berperan sebagai  antimikroba, mencegah anemia (defisiensi besi) dan pembentukan tulang, sedangkan senyawa bioaktif pada kacang-kacangan baik dalam biji ataupun kecambah adalah asam amino yang berperan dalam pencegahan penyakit diabetes, penyakit jantung koroner dan perkembangan otak. Oleh karena itu, pada review ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa susu sapi dan beberapa jenis kacang lokal seperti kedelai, kacang hijau dan koro pedang baik dalam bentuk biji atau kecambah dapat menjadi sumber senyawa bioaktif dan berpotensi sebagai pangan fungsional dalam bentuk tunggal ataupun campuran keduanya

    The purpose of this final paper was to examine the relation between Body Condition Score (BCS) and pregnancy rate of dairy cattle in Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Balai Penelitian Bibit Pakan Ternak dan Diagnostik Kehewanan (UPTD BPBPTDK) Pakem Sleman Yogyakarta. The researcher collected the data by direct observation on dairy cattle. Moreover the researcher also consulted some reliable sources in cattle reproductive field. This research was conducted during fieldwork in practice 10 to 14 March 2014. The subjects of this research were 24 dairy cattles Frisian Hostein in their productive age. The method of direct observation was done by examining the parts of cattle�s body such as hook, pin, tail head and ribs. Then the data gathered were consulted to the veterinary in order to achieve the realibility of the data. The result for this research were dairy cattles with BCS 2,6-3,0 had pregnancy rate 50% and dairy cattles with BCS 2,0-2,5 had pregnancy rate 33,3%. Furthermore, this research also showed that dairy cattles with BCS 2,6-3,0 had better reproductive performance than dairy cattles with BCS 2,6-3,0 from puberty age, estrous cycle, calving interval and service per conception consideration. The conclusion of the research was BCS have a great effect to the pregnancy rate of dairy cattles

    Bagi seorang muslim, penggunaan air bersih selain untuk mandi dan kebutuhan sehari-hari juga untuk wudhu yang dalam sehari dapat dilakukan lima kali bahkan lebih. Pada umumnya air terus mengalir tanpa berhenti saat orang membasuh anggota wudhu, padahal dalam syari’atnya dianjurkan untuk menghemat air. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membuat prototipe keran wudhu yang secara otomatis dapat membuka saat diperlukan dan menutup saat tidak diperlukan. Air yang keluar dari keran dapat dihemat, karena hanya mengalir ketika ada bagian tubuh yang terdeteksi oleh sensor. Mekanisme untuk membuka dan menutup keran dilakukan dengan katup elektromagnetik yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa sensor 1, 2, 3, dan 4 dapat mengontrol keran dengan debit air berturut-turut 0.026 l/s, 0.025 l/s, 0.022 l/s, dan 0.020 l/s. Artinya makin dekat anggota tubuh dengan keran, maka debit air makin deras. Selain itu di sisi bawah alat juga dilengkapi dengan sensor 5 untuk mendeteksi kaki orang, bila kaki diangkat akan membuka keran secara maksimal
