The objective of the system is to enable an individual to do self-assessment for him/her self in order to measure his/her believes and practices in light of Islamic teachings. In addition, the application motivates knowledge worker in Islamic studies to contribute with their knowledge through knowledge sharing with the application. Knowledge management, the processer and intelligent engine, is another major component of the system. This propagation of Islamic knowledge through applications will lead the Muslim Ummah to shape a better interrelated Muslim society for the future

The objective of this paper is to present the results of preliminary study that has been performed to measure the reliability of the ques-tionnaire for collecting the quantitative data for the proposed security model of online shopping satisfaction. This paper is endeavours of our previous paper, in which we have developed the research model. Quantitative methodology was adopted to conduct the study by collecting the data through survey questionnaire based on five point Likert scale. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) ver-sion 23.0 was used to analyse the data. Results shows that the Cronbachโ€™s alpha value to ensure the reliability of the items is โ‰ฅ 0.7, It means all our variables are acceptable for the further studies and for the actual data collection. This paper conclude that the pilot study is necessary phase to conduct before going to collect the actual data in order to avoid any ambiguity in items. Although the sample data is small for the pilot study still, it shows the strength between the related items

Malaysia is a modern Muslim country where the research on Halal product identification is at the peak. In this study, the authors have developed the mobile applications which is based on Radio Frequency Identification near filed communication RFID/NFC. The author first developed the database based on the data from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia JAKIM, which is a Malaysian Halal logo identification authority then the mobile application which uses the near filed communication to detect the Halal food using the Radio Frequency Identification. In this paper authors have performed the experimental analysis by comparing the Bar code system that is compared to parallel time detected by the simple webcam for the Halal Logo Identification and the new developed RFID/NFC mobile applications. Paired sample T-Test was performed by using the SPSS 23.0 version. The results revealed that there is significantly difference between the usability, efficiency, affordability, security and satisfaction. The users are more satisfied with the newly developed mobile application as compared to old halal logo system in Malaysia

The ubiquitous computing has made consumers life easy, it has given the new way to interact with family and friends and perform many activities which were impossible in previous time. One of the profound achievement of ubiquitous computing is Mobile Payment and an advanced mode of the mobile payment is the near field communication mobile payment. In this study the authors have proposed theoreti-cal near field communication mobile payment model that is based on extended unified technology acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) .In this paper, the author have performed the pilot study to validate the variables and to verify their reliability among the proposed items. The results has proven that there is a reliability among the items in variables, as the Cronbachโ€™s alpha value for the vari-ables is above or equal to 0.7

Online shopping has gained high popularity across all groups of society in Malaysia since its commencement and continued to grow every day. Malaysia being the central hub of South-East Asia has been considered as a favourite place for shopaholic people for physical shopping and the same trend is seen in terms of online shopping. While the socioeconomic characteristics of society have been studied to measure various consumer behaviours within different contexts including Malaysia. However, the Malaysians attitude towards online purchase behaviour is one of the significant areas that need to be investigated, hence, this study focuses on measuring the socioeconomic attitude towards online purchase intention. A total of 400 complete questionnaire were collected by using convenience sampling method within shopping malls of Klang Valley region through face to face questionnaires distribution technique. Two inferential statistical tests were used to measure the relationship between various characteristics of socioeconomics group towards the online purchase intention. These tests were independent sample T-test and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA). A T-test was used to evaluate the effect of gender towards the online purchase intention, whereas one-way ANOVA was performed to check the significant effect of age, monthly income, and education towards the online purchase intention. The results revealed that there is a significant difference based on the age and income; while individuals with higher income shop more as compared to individuals with less income and the individuals within the income group of 5000 to 7000 shop more as compared to other income groups. Whereas, individuals between the age group of 41 to 50 shopped more as compared to other age groups. Furthermore, the results also revealed that there was no significant difference found in terms of gender and education, male and female shopped online despite of their gender and education background

Academicians and e-retailers eagerly want to identify the factors which affect the e-commerce success. The main intention of this study to investigate the factors which are essential to draw the net benefits of e-commerce from an individual perspective rather than the organization perspective. The proposed framework in this paper is based on Mclean and Delone 2003 IS success model along with two extra variables that are privacy and trust. In this paper, the author discussed the result of the pilot study. The authors designed the quantitative research questionnaire by adopting the items from the previous studies and conducted the pilot study to check the reliability of the questionnaire. The overall value for Cronbach's alpha was 0.89 and also the Cronbach's alpha value for individual constructs were greater than 0.7, which indicates that there is a strong relation between the items. This research engrossed on four factors that are system quality, service quality, privacy, trust, that are essential for achieving the user satisfaction which in turn leads to achieve the e-commerce net benefits. In addition to service quality and system quality, trust and privacy are the important factors that affect the net benefits through user satisfaction, hence the modified version of Delone and Mclean IS success model from individual perspective is proposed

    Get PDF
The recently developed depth sensors such as Kinect have provided new potential for human-computer interaction (HCI) and hand gesture are one of main parts in recent researches. Hand segmentation procedure is performed to acquire hand gesture from a captured image. In this paper, a method is produced to segment hand blobs using both depth and color data frames. This method applies a body segmentation and an image threshold techniques to depth data frame using skeleton data and concurrently it uses SLIC super-pixel segmentation method to extract hand blobs from color data frame with the help of skeleton data. The proposed method has low computation time and shows significant results when basic assumption are fulfilled
