Correction: The role of cumulative physical work load in symptomatic knee osteoarthritis – a case–control study in Germany (Seidler et al. 2008)
ABSTRACT: In the original paper (Seidler et al. 2008), there is a mistake in the results of the occupational group analysis. This mistake occurred when the core data set was merged with the occupational group data. According to the modified occupational group analysis (see modified Table 1), OR for chemical processers and manufacturers of plastics products are no longer significantly elevated. Having worked more than 10 years as metal worker is associated with knee osteoarthritis (OR=2.2; 95% CI 1.1-4.4). The knee osteoarthritis risk of plasterers, insulators, glaziers, terrazzo workers, construction carpenters, roofers, and upholsters approaches statistical significance in the long-duration category (OR=3.7; 95% CI 0.9-15.2). For woodworkers, the knee osteoarthritis risk is no longer significantly elevated. Having worked more than 10 years as painter or varnisher is associated with knee osteoarthritis (OR=9.6; 95% CI 1.2-77.9). Finally, we find a significantly elevated OR of 3.2 (95% CI 1.1-9.1) among subjects having worked as physically exposed service workers (storemen, nurses, refuse collectors) for more than 10 years. When subjects with non-service work as main occupation ("blue-collar workers") are compared with "white-collar workers", the odds ratio for knee osteoarthritis is still significantly elevated (OR=2.0; 95% CI 1.3-2.9)
Marketing plan for Book-a-Cook
This thesis studies the marketing plan for the new brand Book-a-Cook. Book-a-Cook is
an online platform connecting well-to-do urban Germans with professional chefs that
prepare meals at consumer's homes. By analyzing the external and internal audit, it was
possible to develop an appropriate strategy to launch the service in Germany. The main
goals are stimulating demand and creating a strong brand in order to establish a
successful business model. A quantitative research was made to identify potential
customers, their needs and how Book-a-Cook can satisfy them
Современные методики оценки взаимодействия акторов инновационных систем
The article deals with methods of actor`s evaluation. Practice shows that in Russia today, the main problem of the transition to the innovative way of development is the lack of an effective system of interaction between actors in the innovation system. To date, there is no single methodology for assessing the processes that take place between the actors of the innovation system
Design of a sensor cell line based on the germline version of the Hivspecific broadly neutralizing antibody 10E8
Identification of antigens driving affinity maturation of broadly neutralizing antibodies is one of the most challenging endeavors in the HIV vaccine development field. In order to isolate such candidate immunogens and to analyze whether they may activate B-cells expressing BCRs based on immature/germline forms of broadly neutralizing antibodies, a robust test system that faithfully recapitulates human B-cell biology would be indispensable. Thus, developing a human В-cell sensor line with surface expression of a germline variant of broadly neutralizing antibody 10E8 may represent one of the possible solutions
Modern software for processing navigation measurements of GLONASS/GPS and their features
The article gives examples of specialized programs «ModBis24», «Etna», developed with the direct participation of the author. A key goal of development is to improve the methods and algorithms of collecting, processing, storage and use of GLONASS and GPS measurements
Spectroscopic study of double sulphides of molybdenum (IV) and rhenium (IV)
Dichalcogenides of transition metals are especially interesting. Majority of chalcoginides are semiconductors and some of them show interesting properties in certain regions of optical spectrum. Such properties allow application of these compounds in optico-electronics, radio-photonics, laser physics etc. Direct synthesis one of simple chalcogenides - rhenium disulphide - has been carried out from source components: metallic rhenium and elemental sulfur. In this research we used high temperature annealing at 1000 0C and the pressure of 10-5 atm in 24 hours. The synthesis was carried out in a sealed quartz ampoule. Photoelectron spectra and IR absorption spectra of molybdenum disulfide (IV) and rhenium disulfide (IV) were measured during the research. We shows that rhenium disulfide (IV) crystallize in CdI2 structural type. S2p sulfur bond energy for molybdenum disulfide (IV) and rhenium disulfide (IV) are at almost identical values. IR spectrum analysis shows that rhenium disulfide (IV) structure compared with molybdenum disulfide (IV)
