STREET LIGHTS INTELLIGENT SYSTEM, BASED ON THE INTERNET OF THINGS CONCEPT

    Get PDF
The paper presents a project of a street lights intelligent system, which allows for public savings, as a result of more efficient roads and pavements lights management. The system would operate based on the current location of vehicles and pedestrians. Because of this no additional costs or devices are required in smartphones or modern vehicles to indicate its location, as smartphones, smartwatches and most of modern cars are equipped with the GPS modules. But each smart street lamp needs to be equipped with a little module that communicates with the central system and which controls the work of lighting

Research on vibration source separation of the Stirling engine based on the Fast ICA algorithm

    Get PDF
In this paper we employed the Fast ICA Independent Component Analysis algorithm for decomposing vibration data in operational Stirling engine. Accurate separating vibration signals containing noises allows for the early fault detection of the Stirling engine and by this guarantees the more reliable work of this engine and its better performance. The results show that using the Fast ICA blind source separation algorithm enhances the quality of obtained fault detection information, which is more precise and makes the fault diagnosis more effective

The Role of Art and the Collective Unconscious of Jung in the Process of Raising a Child

A child during their stay in the nursery should be equipped not only with adequate supply of physical forces but the nursery is a place where children are given a basis for their further comprehensive upbringing and are prepared for school education. During this time, a child obtains mental, physical, emotional and social maturity, as well as a certain degree of strength and resistance to stressful situations. Art and movement can help a child in this educational process. A special attention should be paid here to the theater forms that involve many elements of art. Theatre uses the word, sound, visual art and movement; it inspires and satisfies child’s intellectual, expressive, aesthetic, emotional and cultural needs as well as learns how to live, explains, clarifies and comments life. A very important role in the development of child’s personality is also played by fun and dance. In dance, one can reduce negative emotions, stress and tension of body and mind. Dance reduces anxiety, improves concentration, reduces psychophysical tension, relieves excess of energy and aggression, improves motor coordination and strength, improves self-esteem and changes the behavior profitably

Jungian Theory of the Collective Unconsciousness in the Light ofQuantum Psychology

From a biological point of view, a human being is an open system and cannot be considered in isolation from their surroundings, as together with their surroundings they constitute the one whole. Between the individual and their surroundings there is a continuous exchange of information, energy and matter. A person should be treated not only as a single system, but also as a system composed of a whole series of subsystems, between which there is a lot of feedback. The whole world constitutes a unity since all processes taking place in it are interrelated and mutually influence one another, focusing all the power and influence coming from the space that are so strong that they cannot be omitted. The material can be used to run bioelectronic processes that are essential for every organism to function properly. A living organism can be recognized as a complex electronic device, analogous to the technical devices, and biological materials (proteins, DNA, RNA) which are as structural components in electronic devices. This is the basis to establish the thesis that a biological system can act as a quantum computer, functioning on the basis of entangled quantum states and optoelectronic phenomena

Associative memory in artificial immune systems

    Get PDF
The paper concentrates on analyzing associative properties of Artificial Immune Systems, especially on immunological memory, which is a member of a class of sparse and distributed associative memories [18]. This class of memories derives its associative and robust nature by sparsely sampling the input space and distributing the data among many independent agents [16]. Immunological memory is one of the defining characteristics of the adaptive immune system [4]. This memory is able to store and recall patterns when it is required, and can easily categorize new input data [11]. Immunological memory is distributed among the cells in the AIS memory population, and is robust, because when a portion of the memory population is lost, the remaining memory cells persist to produce a response. The major principle behind vaccination procedures in medicine and immunotherapy takes its source from associative properties of immunological memory [13]. Associative recall is a general phenomenon of immunological memory [18]

IDENTIFICATION OF THE MASS INERTIA MOMENT IN AN ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEM BASED ON WAVELET–NEURAL METHOD

This paper presents the results of testing of a complex electromechanical system model. These results have been obtained for accepted in simu-lations the method of identifying an inertia moment of reduced masses on shaft of induction motor drive during the changes of a backlash zone width. The effectiveness of correct diagnostic conclusions enables coefficients anal-ysis of testing signals wavelet expansion as well as weights of a supervised learning neural network. The earlier fault detection of five important state variables, which describe physical quantities of chosen complex electro-mechanical system has been verified for its correctness during the backlash zone width monitoring in the early stage of its gradual rise. The proposed here algorithm with mass inertia moment changes has proved to be an effective diagnostic method in the area of system changeable dynamic conditions and this has been shown in the resulting changes of backlash zone width

Decision Making and Subjectivism in Transforming Information

    No full text
There is mutual recursive feedback between the decision of a subject and the environment, where the action of making a decision is autonomously changing both the environment (as the result of this decision) and the creators themselves of this action. Every new decision is based on the past experiences of an individual, and by this on his developed cognitive system and axiological structure. While making a decision an individual refers to this axiological structure, which sometimes overweighs a rational evaluation of a given problematic situation. This particularly occurs when decisions concern a social sphere and when the consequences of our actions are entangled with another human being – the problem of subjective feelings and of a individual assigning meanings to particular elements in the process of this recognisable situation will depend on this interior internalised axiological structure. Therefore the imperfection of mathematical algorithms applied in the decision-making process results from the fact that a perception of a reality by human beings is always incomplete and subjective, because it is entangled in a man’s internalised unrepeatable system of cultural and individual values

    Theory of Digital Automata

    No full text
This book serves a dual purpose: firstly to combine the treatment of circuits and digital electronics, and secondly, to establish a strong connection with the contemporary world of digital systems. The need for this approach arises from the observation that introducing digital electronics through a course in traditional circuit analysis is fast becoming obsolete. Our world has gone digital. Automata theory helps with the design of digital circuits such as parts of computers, telephone systems and control systems. A complete perspective is emphasized, because even the most elegant computer architecture will not function without adequate supporting circuits. The focus is on explaining the real-world implementation of complete digital systems. In doing so, the reader is prepared to immediately begin design and implementation work. This work serves as a bridge to take readers from the theoretical world to the everyday design world where solutions must be complete to be successful
