Towards modeling civilian behavior during a natural disaster
This work presents a literature review on civilian evacuation behavior and agent based modeling for disaster planning. The aim is to understand a regional response to a natural disaster. We propose a study to investigate our study area's disaster plan and civilian response at large during such an event. The implications of our proposed work include improved disaster planning and a framework for modeling civilian response to real government disaster plans

A mĂ©rkĆzĂ©slĂĄtogatĂĄs Ă©s a klubhoz valĂł kötĆdĂ©s közötti kapcsolat kvalitatĂv elemzĂ©se: egy futball klub pĂ©ldĂĄja = Qualitative analysis of the relationship between club attachment and match attendance: the case of a football club
A szurkolĂłk csapathoz valĂł kötĆdĂ©sĂ©nek kialakĂtĂĄsa, Ășj szurkolĂłk bevonzĂĄsa egy fejlett sportgazdasĂĄgban elengedhetetlen. MagyarorszĂĄgon ez a tĂ©ma Ă©vtizedes megoldatlan problĂ©mĂĄt jelent, miközben lĂĄtvĂĄnyos beruhĂĄzĂĄsokkal Ășj stadionok Ă©pĂŒltek, melyek kihasznĂĄltsĂĄga a hazai labdarĂșgĂł bajnoki mĂ©rkĆzĂ©sek esetĂ©ben jelentĆs mĂ©rtĂ©kben fejleszthetĆ lenne. KutatĂĄsunk az OTP Bank Liga magyar elsĆosztĂĄlyĂș labdarĂșgĂł bajnoksĂĄgban szereplĆ Mol FehĂ©rvĂĄr FC tekintetĂ©ben vizsgĂĄlja a mĂ©rkĆzĂ©slĂĄtogatĂĄs Ă©s a klubhoz valĂł kötĆdĂ©s közötti kapcsolatot kvalitatĂv kutatĂĄs, mĂ©lyinterjĂșk segĂtsĂ©gĂ©vel. EredmĂ©nyeink szerint a klub letĂ©rt arrĂłl az ĂștrĂłl, amit a szurkolĂłk a tradĂciĂłja alapjĂĄn elvĂĄrnak tĆle, valamint hiĂĄnyzik a törzsszurkolĂłk tisztelete Ă©s megbecsĂŒlĂ©se. Mindez megmagyarĂĄzhatja az alacsony nĂ©zĆszĂĄm problĂ©mĂĄjĂĄt. Jelen kutatĂĄs a vizsgĂĄlt klub pĂ©ldĂĄjĂĄn keresztĂŒl rĂĄvilĂĄgĂt arra a helyzetre, hogy a labdarĂșgĂĄsban kialakult egy sajĂĄtos helyzet, amely hĂĄttĂ©rbe szorĂtja a szurkolĂł szĂŒksĂ©gessĂ©gĂ©t, szĂŒksĂ©gszerƱsĂ©gĂ©t, sĆt az eredmĂ©nyek felvetik azt is, hogy a kluboknak szĂŒksĂ©gĂŒk van-e egyĂĄltalĂĄn szurkolĂłkra. Fans' attachment to their teams and the attraction of new fans are essential in a developed sports economy. In Hungary, this problem has been unsolved for decades in the domestic football league, while new stadiums have been built with spectacular investments and the utilization of these facilities could be significantly improved. With the help of qualitative research and indepth interviews, our research examines the relationship between match attendance and attachment to the club for Mol FehĂ©rvĂĄr FC, a member of the Hungarian first-class football championship of the OTP Bank Liga. According to our results, the club has deviated from the path that the fans expect from it based on its tradition, while core fans lack respect and appreciation. All this may explain the problem of the low match attendance numbers. Through the example of the investigated club, the present research sheds light on the situation that a specific situation has developed in football, which pushes the need and necessity of the fan into the background, and the results even raise the question of whether clubs need fans at all
Mieniplotia scabra (MĂŒller, 1774), another gastropod invasive species in Europe and the status of freshwater allochthonous molluscs in Greece and Europe
Mieniplotia scabra (MĂŒller, 1774), a freshwater gastropod originating from the Indo-Pacific area, has proved to be a successful invader spreading to other parts of East Asia, Middle East, the Pacific Islands, North America and West Indies. This paper reports the first record of M. scabra from Europe, where it has become naturalized in Kos Island in Greece. This new trans-continental introduction brings to nine the number of alien freshwater molluscs species in Greece and to 30 in Europe. It is therefore given an updated snapshot on the presence of the numerous non-native fresh water species in Europe, divided by nation, an account that is currently lacking in literature and in the specific databases
Critiques of Gatekeeping In Scholarly Journals: An Analysis of Perceptions and Data
This article analyzes criticisms on the nature and functioning of the editorial boards of communication journals. There are certain elements in the pattern among the critics of journal articles and the journal publishing process. First, they tend to distort what was written in the original article by changing the words, concepts, or ideas. Second, they redefine the parameters of the study they are critiquing. Third, there is sometimes an element of hypocrisy in the critics\u27 attack. However, from the analysis it would appear that editors attempt to maintain balance considering experience in publishing, geographic and institutional affiliation, and gender
