Cuatro enterramientos calcolíticos en hoyo del Cerro de la Cabeza (Ávila)
This paper presents a thorough description of four pit burials dated to the Copper Age and recovered during the rescueexcavation of a pit site. The lot consists of a multiple pit burial containing six individuals with clear proofs of violenceplus three other single pit burials. The inhumation was the funerary treatment followed in all cases and proofs of secondaryburial have been also documented. Data on material culture, physical anthropology, paleopathology, palaeodiet, archaeopalinology and radiocarbon dating of the human remains are included for each burial pit. The paper proposesan overall archaeological interpretation of these funerary testimonies in their cultural context. Their probable extraordinarycharacter is highlighted, as relegated burial cases at the margins of the everyday normative mortuary rules.
Incrementalmaintenance of discovered fuzzy association rules
Fuzzy association rules (FARs) are a recognized model to study existing relations among data, commonly stored in data repositories. In real-world applications, transactions are continuously processed with upcoming new data, rendering the discovered rules information inexact or obsolete in a short time. Incremental mining methods arise to avoid re-runs of those algorithms from scratch by re-using information that is systematically maintained. These methods are useful for extracting knowledge in dynamic environments. However, executing the algorithms only to maintain previously discovered information creates inefficiencies in real-time decision support systems. In this paper, two active algorithms are proposed for incremental maintenance of previously discovered FARs, inspired by efficient methods for change computation. The application of a generic form of measures in these algorithms allows the maintenance of a wide number of metrics simultaneously. We also propose to compute data operations in real-time, in order to create a reduced relevant instance set. The algorithms presented do not discover new knowledge; they are just created to efficiently maintain valuable information previously extracted, ready for decision making. Experimental results on education data and repository data sets showthat our methods achieve a good performance. In fact, they can significantly improve traditional mining, incremental mining, and a naïve approach.Iberoamerican Association of Postgraduate Universities (AUIP
Dimension and support of underground slate mines
[Abstract] We've studied the conditions about dimensions and support ofan underground mine of roofing slate in Galice, worked by rooms with continuous pillars. The rock mass was characterized by the empiric and analitic methods, calculating the stable pillar wide along the mine by the theory of attributed area and by a model of finite elements, where the breaking criterion ofHoek and Brown was applied. The result was a parabolic relationship between pillar wide and mine length. Stability studies in an isolated stope give an elastic performance on the periphery of the room, without tractions. Although the stability ofthe mine is good, a systematic support is recommended on the basis of bolts, that will be reinforced with projected concret at the top, and a singular treatment of the detected wedges
Collective ionic dynamics in the liquid Na-Cs alloy: An ab initio molecular dynamics study
Producción CientíficaWe present results for several structural and dynamical properties of the liquid Na-Cs alloy. The study has
been carried out by means of the orbital-free ab initio molecular dynamics method, combined with local ionic
pseudopotentials constructed within the same framework. The results show good agreement with the available
experimental data, reproducing the homocoordinating tendency exhibited by this alloy
