    Steel Business environment has changed a lot lately, and competition is getting stronger. The global competitive pressure has changed the nature of economy Causing changes in methods of operation in industries. Faced with these situation, the company must be Able to survive and win the competition by performing measurements include all aspects that are future oriented. Krakatau recently imported a lot of semi-finished slab regarding low price for commercial grade steel. In order to win a competition all the effort was done by continuous improvement to reduce production costs. Steel slab plant is part of an integrated stainless steel production facility of Krakatau play the biggest role of production cost responsibility. It is by the caused of the major metallurgical task to convert iron ore to steel and non-metallic raw material to slag. Secondly steel making consume huge slab of electrical energy to melt the solid material to liquid steel. Excellent strategy and controlling tights will get very high benefit to earn much profit.The final assigment is focused on formulating a production strategy based on market requirements and production cost. Key point to get succesfull implementation of these depends on the top management strategy comitment, the Efforts of socialization, and the participation of all staff and employee.     Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus) is an endemic land mammal on Sumatra Island which now is on critically endangered. The population of Sumatran elephant in Riau Province spread in 9 pouches of population, one of them is population in Tesso Nilo National Park (TNNP). Habitat fragmentation and land conversion in protected areas caused condition of Sumatran elephant\u27s population had deteriorated. Therefore, we need a precise conservation effort to save the population of Sumatran elephant in TNNP. These efforts require appropriate information on the number of individuals and population genetic. The aims of this study were to determine the number of individuals, variation and frequency of allele, and the level of heterozygosity of Sumatran elephant population in TNNP based on genetic information. Molecular analysis using microsatellite marker was performed on 108 non-invasive samples which were collected using CMR method. The result revealed that there were 73 individuals of Sumatran elephant in TNNP. The average number of allele variation from 13 microsatelite loci which were analized was 2.85 allele/locus with average observed heterozygosity (0.507) is higher than expected heterozygosity (0.490). Those indicates that allele frequencies found to be above of the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. This studyproved that there is no genetic pressure of Sumatran elephant population in TNNP

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten TTU dalam Pengembangan wisata kuliner di Desa Tuamese, Kabupaten TTU. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif, sedangkan sumber datanya adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan observasi berdasarkan 6 indiktor yaitu Regulator, Dinamisator, Fasilitator, katalisator, Wisata Kuliner dan Makanan Khas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan uji kebahasaan data. Hasil dari penelitan menyimpulkan bahwa peran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata dalam pengembangan wisata kuliner di Desa Tuamese Kabupaten TTU sangat penting karena berhubungan dengan pengembangan daya tarik wisata yang ada di Desa Tuamese. Namaun dalam penerapan peran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata masih terbatas. Sebagai regulator sebatas pada perencanaan penyusunan peraturan desa untuk penyelengaraan kegiatan pariwisata. Sebagai dinamisator, peran Dinas Pariwisata dengan memberikan sosialisasi dan bimbingan terkait pengolahan kuliner. Sebagai Fasilitator, Dinas Pariwisata melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatiham terkait pengembangan potensi pariwisata yakni sosialisasi pembuatan kuliner dan sofinier di Desa Tuamese. Sebagai katalisator, Dinas Pariwisata belum terlibat maksimal karena semuanya masih dalam tahap rencana dan belum ada kegiatan yang terealisasi

    Radial and axial rotor support bearings are critical elements in flywheel batteries for vehicle applications. This paper discusses the quantification of bearing loads required for the development of optimal bearing designs, particularly magnetic bearings. The primary contributors to bearing loads are shown to be vehicle shock, vibration, maneuvering, and gyrodynamics. Emphasis is placed on transit bus applications.     The authors describe a horizontally focusing curved-crystal monochromator that invokes a 4-point bending scheme and a liquid-metal cooling bath. The device has been designed for dispersive diffraction and spectroscopy in the 5--20 keV range, with a predicted focal spot size of {le} 100 {micro}m. To minimize thermal distortions and thermal equilibration time, the 355 x 32 x 0.8 mm crystal will be nearly half submerged in a bath of Ga-In-Sn-Zn alloy. The liquid metal thermally couples the crystal to the water-cooled Cu frame, while permitting the required crystal bending. Calculated thermal profiles and anticipated focusing properties are discussed

    Investigation of A1g phonons in YBa2Cu3O7 by means of LAPW atomic-force calculations

    We report first-principles frozen-phonon calculations for the determination of the force-free geometry and the dynamical matrix of the five Raman-active A1g modes in YBa2Cu3O7. To establish the shape of the phonon potentials atomic forces are calculated within the LAPW method. Two different schemes - the local density approximation (LDA) and a generalized gradient approximation (GGA) - are employed for the treatment of electronic exchange and correlation effects. We find that in the case of LDA the resulting phonon frequencies show a deviation from experimental values of approximately -10%. Invoking GGA the frequency values are significantly improved and also the eigenvectors are in very good agreement with experimental findings.Comment: 15 page
