Quantum Gravity as Theory of "Superfluidity"

A version of the cosmological perturbation theory in general relativity (GR) is developed, where the cosmological scale factor is identified with spatial averaging of the metric determinant logarithm and the cosmic evolution acquires the pattern of a superfluid motion: the absence of "friction-type" interaction, the London-type wave function, and the Bogoliubov condensation of quantum universes. This identification keeps the number of variables of GR and leads to a new type of potential perturbations. A set of arguments is given in favor of that this "superfluid" version of GR is in agreement with the observational data.Comment: 8 pages, "Long Communication" at the XXVIII Spanish Relativity Meeting "A Century of Relativity Physics" Oviedo, Spain, 6-10 Sept. 2005; http://fisi24.ciencias.uniovi.es/ere05.html; To be published in "AIP Conference Proceedings

Yang-Mills Fields Quantization in the Factor Space

    Get PDF
The perturbation theory over inverse interaction constant 1/g1/g is constructed for Yang-Mills theory. It is shown that the new perturbation theory is free from the gauge ghosts and Gribov's ambiguities, each order over 1/g1/g presents the gauge-invariant quantity. It is remarkable that offered perturbation theory did not contain divergences, at least in the vector fields sector, and no renormalization procedure is necessary for it.Comment: 27 pages, Latex, no figure

Is it possible to estimate the Higgs Mass from the CMB Power Spectrum?

General Relativity and Standard Model are considered as a theory of dynamical scale symmetry with definite initial data compatible with the accepted Higgs mechanism. In this theory the Early Universe behaves like a factory of electroweak bosons and Higgs scalars, and it gives a possibility to identify three peaks in the Cosmic Microwave Background power spectrum with the contributions of photonic decays and annihilation processes of primordial Higgs, W, and Z bosons in agreement with the QED coupling constant, Weinberg's angle, and Higgs' particle mass of about 118 GeV.Comment: version to appear in Yadernaya Fizik

Infinite planar string: cusps, braids and soliton exitations

We investigate infinite strings in (2+1)D(2+1)D space-time, which may be considered as excitations of straight lines on the spatial plane. We also propose the hamiltonian description of such objects that differs from the standard hamiltonian description of the string. The hamiltonian variables are separated into two independent groups: the "internal" and "external" variables. The first ones are invariant under space-time transformations and are connected with the second form of the world-sheet. The "external" variables define the embedding of the world-sheet into space-time. The constructed phase space is nontrivial because the finite number of constraints entangles the variables from these groups. First group of the variables constitute the coefficients for the pair of first-order spectral problems; the solution of these problems is necessary for the reconstruction of the string world-sheet. We consider the excitations, which correspond to "N- soliton" solution of the spectral problem, and demonstrate that the reconstructed string has cuspidal points. World lines of such points form braids of various topologies.Comment: 16 pages, 4 figure

    New analytic unitarization schemes

We consider two well-known classes of unitarization of Born amplitudes of hadron elastic scattering. The standard class, which saturates at the black disk limit includes the standard eikonal representation, while the other class, which goes beyond the black-disk limit to reach the full unitarity circle, includes the U matrix. It is shown that the basic properties of these schemes are independent of the functional form used for the unitarisation, and that U matrix and eikonal schemes can be extended to have similar properties. A common form of unitarisation is proposed interpolating between both classes. The correspondence with different nonlinear equations are also briefly examined.Comment: 6 pages, 10 figures, corrected typos, 1 fig. redro
