Longitudinal Scaling of Elliptic Flow in Landau Hydrodynamics

This study presents generalization of the Landau hydrodynamic solution for multiparticle production applied to non-central relativistic heavy ion collisions. Obtained results shows longitudinal scaling of elliptic flow $v_2$ as a function of rapidity shifted by beam rapidity ($y-y_{beam}$) for different energies ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}=62.4$ GeV and 200 GeV) and for different systems (Au-Au and Cu-Cu). It is argued, that the elliptic flow and its longitudinal scaling is due to the initial transverse energy density distribution and initial longitudinal thickness effect.Comment: 7 pages 1 figur

Scaling behavior of nucleotide cluster in DNA sequences

In this paper we study the scaling behavior of nucleotide cluster in 11 chromosomes of Encephalitozoon cuniculi Genome. The statistical distribution of nucleotide clusters for 11 chromosomes is characterized by the scaling behavior of P(S)∝e(−αS), where S represents nucleotide cluster size. The cluster-size distribution P(S (1)+S (2)) with the total size of sequential C-G cluster and A-T cluster S (1)+S (2) were also studied. P(S (1)+S (2)) follows exponential decay. There does not exist the case of large C-G cluster following large A-T cluster or large A-T cluster following large C-G cluster. We also discuss the relatively random walk length function L(n) and the local compositional complexity of nucleotide sequences based on a new model. These investigations may provide some insight into nucleotide cluster of DNA sequence

Search for new resonances decaying to a WW or ZZ boson and a Higgs boson in the ℓ+ℓ−bbˉ\ell^+ \ell^- b\bar b, ℓνbbˉ\ell \nu b\bar b, and ννˉbbˉ\nu\bar{\nu} b\bar b channels with pppp collisions at s=13\sqrt s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

The search is conducted by looking for a localized excess in the $WH$/$ZH$ invariant or transverse mass distribution. No significant excess is observed, and the results are interpreted in terms of constraints on a simplified model based on a phenomenological Lagrangian of heavy vector triplets
