Synthesis, photophysical and electroluminescent properties of 1,3-diphenyl-1H-benzo[g]pyrazolo[3,4–b]quinoxaline
Abstract Experimental investigations of electroluminescence spectra for new azaacene derivative have been performed. Azaacene was used as dopant in {PVK} matrices in electroluminescence devices with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/active layer/Ca/Al light-emitting diode configuration. The yellow emission was obtained with the electroluminance of 1530Â cd/m2 at 15.0V

Levy statistics and anomalous transport in quantum-dot arrays
A novel model of transport is proposed to explain power law current
transients and memory phenomena observed in partially ordered arrays of
semiconducting nanocrystals. The model describes electron transport by a
stationary Levy process of transmission events and thereby requires no time
dependence of system properties. The waiting time distribution with a
characteristic long tail gives rise to a nonstationary response in the presence
of a voltage pulse. We report on noise measurements that agree well with the
predicted non-Poissonian fluctuations in current, and discuss possible
mechanisms leading to this behavior.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
Presentation of the bk21 (Kacprzak) test as a less traumatic alternative to the Lachman test and Drop Leg test in diagnosing anterior cruciate ligament tear
Objective: despite the fact that anterior cruciate ligament injuries are the most common ligament injuries, the problem of making a quick and accurate diagnosis still exists. in our paper, we hypothesized that a modification of the Lachman test — BK21 (Kacprzak test), in comparison to the Lachman test and Drop Leg test will allow for a significant reduction of pain during the test, and thus for less muscular defense, more relaxation, and more reliable test results, whose sensitivity and specificity will be confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging.Materials and methods: using the patient’s subjective pain rating scale, the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), we were able to easily assess which way of performing the test was less traumatic for the patient. a physical examination in the form of a comparison of those two visits was performed at the private medical office Orto Med Sport in 203 patients with suspected anterior cruciate ligament tear.Results: the BK21 modification (Kacprzak) test was on average 3 points less painful on the NRS scale than the classic Lachman test and 1 point less painful than the Drop Leg test, while the same principle of operation and analogous endpoints in both tests allow for high sensitivity and specificity of the test.Conclusion: the BK21 test was a less traumatic and painful alternative to the Lachman test
Summing free unitary random matrices
I use quaternion free probability calculus - an extension of free probability
to non-Hermitian matrices (which is introduced in a succinct but self-contained
way) - to derive in the large-size limit the mean densities of the eigenvalues
and singular values of sums of independent unitary random matrices, weighted by
complex numbers. In the case of CUE summands, I write them in terms of two
"master equations," which I then solve and numerically test in four specific
cases. I conjecture a finite-size extension of these results, exploiting the
complementary error function. I prove a central limit theorem, and its first
sub-leading correction, for independent identically-distributed zero-drift

Evaluation of the effectiveness of inveterate Achilles tendon rupture V-Y plasty with immediate subsequent weight-bearing and rehabilitation. Case study
In our paper, we would like to present two cases of treatment of the Achilles tendon ruptures by means of surgical V-Y technique, and implementation of immediate rehabilitation and weight-bearing. V-Y plasty on ruptured tendons was performed. The continuity of the tendon was restored. The sheath of the tendon was stitched together. Dressing was put on; the foot was immobilized in a Walker-type shoe in pes equinus with heel pads and compression underwear. From the first hour after the procedure, the wound area was cooled with a Game Ready device. From the first day after the procedure, both patients were allowed to apply full weight to the limb in the shoe. The crutches were put away as soon as possible. Rehabilitation began right away on the next day; during its course, attempts were made to reduce the use of the shoe to a minimum and to achieve the full range of foot motion as soon as possible. Quasilocality of joining/splitting strings from coherent states
Using the coherent state formalism we calculate matrix elements of the
one-loop non-planar dilatation operator of SYM between operators
dual to folded Frolov-Tseytlin strings and observe a curious scaling behavior.
We comment on the {\it qualitative} similarity of our matrix elements to the
interaction vertex of a string field theory. In addition, we present a solvable
toy model for string splitting and joining. The scaling behaviour of the matrix
elements suggests that the contribution to the genus one energy shift coming

Eigenvalues and Singular Values of Products of Rectangular Gaussian Random Matrices
We derive exact analytic expressions for the distributions of eigenvalues and
singular values for the product of an arbitrary number of independent
rectangular Gaussian random matrices in the limit of large matrix dimensions.
We show that they both have power-law behavior at zero and determine the
corresponding powers. We also propose a heuristic form of finite size
corrections to these expressions which very well approximates the distributions

Electronic transport in films of colloidal CdSe nanocrystals
We present results for electronic transport measurements on large
three-dimensional arrays of CdSe nanocrystals. In response to a step in the
applied voltage, we observe a power-law decay of the current over five orders
of magnitude in time. Furthermore, we observe no steady-state dark current for
fields up to 10^6 V/cm and times as long as 2x10^4 seconds. Although the
power-law form of the decay is quite general, there are quantitative variations
with temperature, applied field, sample history, and the material parameters of
the array. Despite evidence that the charge injected into the film during the
measurement causes the decay of current, we find field-scaling of the current
at all times. The observation of extremely long-lived current transients
suggests the importance of long-range Coulomb interactions between charges on
