Hybrid Multi Attribute Relation Method for Document Clustering for Information Mining
Text clustering has been widely utilized with the aim of partitioning speci?c documents’ collection into different subsets using homogeneity/heterogeneity criteria. It has also become a very complicated area of research, including pattern recognition, information retrieval, and text mining. In the applications of enterprises, information mining faces challenges due to the complex distribution of data by an enormous number of different sources. Most of these information sources are from different domains which create difficulties in identifying the relationships among the information. In this case, a single method for clustering limits related information, while enhancing computational overheadsand processing times. Hence, identifying suitable clustering models for unsupervised learning is a challenge, specifically in the case of MultipleAttributesin data distributions. In recent works attribute relation based solutions are given significant importance to suggest the document clustering. To enhance further, in this paper, Hybrid Multi Attribute Relation Methods (HMARs) are presented for attribute selections and relation analyses of co-clustering of datasets. The proposed HMARs allowanalysis of distributed attributes in documents in the form of probabilistic attribute relations using modified Bayesian mechanisms. It also provides solutionsfor identifying most related attribute model for the multiple attribute documents clustering accurately. An experimental evaluation is performed to evaluate the clustering purity and normalization of the information utilizing UCI Data repository which shows 25% better when compared with the previous techniques
Development of MgAl2O4 grain refiner in Al in-situ composite through H3BO3 addition
Abstract : In the present work, a novel approach has been made for synthesis of in-situ Magnesium Aluminate (MgAl2O4) particles in the Al-4Mg alloy by Boric Acid (H3BO3) precursor addition (1 wt %, 1.5 wt % and 2 wt %) during the casting process. The developed composite has been investigated for its microstructural characteristics and corrosion performance. Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy examination revealed the formation of MgAl2O4 particles in the composite. Potentiodynamic polarization corrosion experiments were performed on the Al-4Mg/H3BO3 composite specimens (1 wt %, 1.5 wt % and 2 wt %) in three different medium (3.5 % Sodium Chloride-NaCl, 1 M Sulphuric Acid-H2SO4 and 1 M Hydrochloric Acid-HCl). Corrosion results showed that Al-4Mg/1.5 wt % H3BO3 composite specimen exhibited better corrosion resistance in 3.5 % NaCl, 1 M H2SO4 and 1 M HCl medium due to the significant grain refinement produced by MgAl2O4 particles. The developed composite with better corrosion properties can be utilized for marine and naval application
Recurrent hematometra with endometriosis in an adolescent girl: a case report
Hematometra is a collection or retention of blood in the uterine cavity. This condition is most commonly associated with congenital uterine anomalies that result from abnormal formation, fusion or resorption of Mullerian ducts during fetal life or may be due to prior surgical procedures, causing an obstruction of the genitourinary outflow tract. We report an unusual case of hematometra with endometriosis secondary to cervical stenosis. This is a rare and important case report due to the complexity of diagnosis as cervical stenosis was not presented as primary amenorrhoea as its usual presentation. This case was successfully managed by Hysteroscopic cervical dilatation under USG guidance followed by transcervical insertion of a catheter to prevent recurrent stenosis
Inelasticity effects in π-π production γ-γ collisions
The inelasticity effects in the production of pion pairs in the process γγ→ππ for real photons are investigated using the partial wave dispersion relations. The total cross sections for different photon helicities are calculated. It is observed that this process is dominated by the ππ final state interaction. A prediction for S∗(997)→γγ decay width is also made
Growth and Yield Performance of Hybrid Hot Pepper, Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) as Influenced by Fertigation and Polyethylene Mulching
A field experiment was conducted at Bengaluru during 2015 to study the effect of fertigation on performance of hybrid chilli (Capsicum annuum L.). The trial included nine treatments comprising varying rates and sources of fertilizers, tested with or without mulching. Application of recommended dose of fertilizer (180:120:180 kg NPK/ha) through fertigation using water-soluble fertilizers resulted in higher values for plant height (104.27 cm), number of branches per plant (16.71), leaf area per plant (89.44 dm2), dry matter per plant (185.49 g), number of fruits per plant (142.7), fruit length (11.13 cm), fruit girth (4.75 cm), fruit weight (1.29 g), yield per plant (184.11 g) and fruit yield (5.03 t/ha) which remained on par with same amount of fertilizer applied using conventional means along with polyethylene mulching. In general, treatments that received fertilizers through fertigation took less number of days to flowering over conventional soil-application of fertilizers. All fertigation treatments recorded higher dry-chilli fruit yield over the conventional soil-application of fertilizers, to a tune of 27.87% to 52.4% over the control
A REVIEW OF ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF α- β TI ALLOY COMPONENTS THROUGH SELECTIVE LASER MELTING AND LASER METAL DEPOSITION
Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a rapid prototyping technique extensively used to build complex structures and intricate shapes without the necessity of post process machining. This process exists for two decades and still needs to attain its growth in order to meet the commercial requirements. In this article, Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM) of α-β titanium alloys and CP-Ti are reviewed. The reported investigations are categorized into 2 major classifications, namely:(i) Micro and macro structure and resulting mechanical properties of α-β Ti and CP-Ti, (ii) Effect of process parameters. Scholarly publications on SLM and LMD of α-β Ti alloys and CP-Ti are
surveyed. The limitations of this emerging but promising method of
manufacture are discussed
Intermittent preventive treatment of malaria provides substantial protection against malaria in children already protected by an insecticide-treated bednet in Burkina Faso: a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
BACKGROUND: Intermittent preventive treatment of malaria in children (IPTc) is a promising new approach to the control of malaria in areas of seasonal malaria transmission but it is not known if IPTc adds to the protection provided by an insecticide-treated net (ITN). METHODS AND FINDINGS: An individually randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of seasonal IPTc was conducted in Burkina Faso in children aged 3 to 59 months who were provided with a long-lasting insecticide-treated bednet (LLIN). Three rounds of treatment with sulphadoxine pyrimethamine plus amodiaquine or placebos were given at monthly intervals during the malaria transmission season. Passive surveillance for malaria episodes was established, a cross-sectional survey was conducted at the end of the malaria transmission season, and use of ITNs was monitored during the intervention period. Incidence rates of malaria were compared using a Cox regression model and generalized linear models were fitted to examine the effect of IPTc on the prevalence of malaria infection, anaemia, and on anthropometric indicators. 3,052 children were screened and 3,014 were enrolled in the trial; 1,505 in the control arm and 1,509 in the intervention arm. Similar proportions of children in the two treatment arms were reported to sleep under an LLIN during the intervention period (93%). The incidence of malaria, defined as fever or history of fever with parasitaemia ≥ 5,000/µl, was 2.88 (95% confidence interval [CI] 2.70-3.06) per child during the intervention period in the control arm versus 0.87 (95% CI 0.78-0.97) in the intervention arm, a protective efficacy (PE) of 70% (95% CI 66%-74%) (p<0.001). There was a 69% (95% CI 6%-90%) reduction in incidence of severe malaria (p = 0.04) and a 46% (95% CI 7%-69%) (p = 0.03) reduction in the incidence of all-cause hospital admissions. IPTc reduced the prevalence of malaria infection at the end of the malaria transmission season by 73% (95% CI 68%-77%) (p<0.001) and that of moderately severe anaemia by 56% (95% CI 36%-70%) (p<0.001). IPTc reduced the risks of wasting (risk ratio [RR] = 0.79; 95% CI 0.65-1.00) (p = 0.05) and of being underweight (RR = 0.84; 95% CI 0.72-0.99) (p = 0.03). Children who received IPTc were 2.8 (95% CI 2.3-3.5) (p<0.001) times more likely to vomit than children who received placebo but no drug-related serious adverse event was recorded. CONCLUSIONS: IPT of malaria provides substantial protection against malaria in children who sleep under an ITN. There is now strong evidence to support the integration of IPTc into malaria control strategies in areas of seasonal malaria transmission. TRIAL REGISTRATION: ClinicalTrials.govNCT00738946. Senslide: a distributed landslide prediction system
We describe the design, implementation, and current status of Senslide, a distributed sensor system aimed at predicting landslides in the hilly regions of western India. Landslides in this region occur during the monsoon rains and cause significant damage to property and lives. Unlike existing solutions that detect landslides in this region, our goal is to predict them before they occur. Also, unlike previous efforts that use a few but expensive sensors to measure slope stability, our solution uses a large number of inexpensive sensor nodes inter-connected by a wireless network. Our system software is designed to tolerate the increased failures such inexpensive components may entail. We have implemented our design in the small on a laboratory testbed of 65 sensor nodes, and present results from that testbed as well as simulation results for larger systems up to 400 sensor nodes. Our results are sufficiently encouraging that we intend to do a field test of the system during the monsoon season in India
