    The Arctic Ocean is, on average, the shallowest of Earth’s oceans. Its vast continental shelf areas, which account for approximately half of the Arctic Ocean’s total area, are heavily influenced by the surrounding land masses through river run-off and coastal erosion. As a main area of deep water formation, the Arctic is one of the main «engines» of global ocean circulation, due to large freshwater inputs, it is also strongly stratified. The Arctic Ocean’s complex oceanographic configuration is tightly linked to the atmosphere, the land, and the cryosphere. The physical dynamics not only drive important climate and global circulation patterns, but also control biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem dynamics. Current changes in Arctic sea-ice thickness and distribution, air and water temperatures, and water column stability are resulting in measurable shifts in the properties and functioning of the ocean and its ecosystems. The Arctic Ocean is forecast to shift to a seasonally ice-free ocean resulting in changes to physical, chemical, and biological processes. These include the exchange of gases across the atmosphere-ocean interface, the wind-driven ciruclation and mixing regimes, light and nutrient availability for primary production, food web dynamics, and export of material to the deep ocean. In anticipation of these changes, extending our knowledge of the present Arctic oceanography and these complex changes has never been more urgent

    ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN YAKUWARIGO DALAM FILM ANIMASI SEN TO CHIHIRO NO KAMIKAKUSHI

    Dalam linguistik, terdapat istilah stereotip linguistik di mana manusia menggolongkan manusia-manusia lainnya ke dalam beberapa kelompok sesuai gaya bicaranya. Stereotip linguistik dalam cabang ilmu yakuwarigo dimanfaatkan oleh penulis-penulis karya sastra untuk menyampaikan gambaran tokoh yang sesuai kepada pembaca atau penontonnya. Penulis melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan cabang ilmu ini dengan berfokus pada memahami fungsi penanda satuan lingual, klasifikasi bahasa peran, dan klasifikasi bahasa karakter dalam yakuwarigo pada film animasi Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan merupakan tuturan enam tokoh sampingan dalam film animasi Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi yaitu Ayah Chihiro, Ibu Chihiro, Kamaji, Rin, Yubaba, dan Zeniba yang mengandung yakuwarigo. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat dipahami bahwa fungsi ninshou daimeishi (kata ganti orang) dan shuujoshi (partikel akhir) dalam yakuwarigo mencakup penggambaran watak serta kesan tokoh yang ingin disampaikan oleh pembuat film. Dapat dipahami pula dalam film terdapat tiga klasifikasi bahasa peran yaitu klasifikasi bahasa peran berdasarkan gender/jenis kelamin, umur/generasi, dan kelas sosial/pekerjaan. Selain itu, klasifikasi bahasa karakter dalam film termasuk ke dalam bahasa karakter tipe 1 (bahasa karakter terbatas) dan bahasa karakter tipe 2 (bahasa karakter yang menyimpang di luar kelompok sosial atau budayanya). In linguistics, there is a terminology called linguistic stereotype which divides people into social groups and judges them based on what social groups they belong to. In yakuwarigo, this linguistic stereotype is used in literatures as a tool for authors to deliver the exact picture of their fictional characters’ personality and traits to the readers. This research is related to yakuwarigo by focusing on understanding the function of lingual units, role language classification, and character language classification as yakuwarigo in the animated movie called Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources used are the speech of six side characters in the animated movie called Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, which include Chihiro's father, Chihiro's mother, Kamaji, Rin, Yubaba, and Zeniba that are containing yakuwarigo. Based on the analysis’ results, it can be understood that the functions of ninshou daimeishi and shuujoshi in yakuwarigo include depicting characters and the impressions of characters that the movie director wants to convey. It can also be understood that in the movie, there are three role language classifications, which are role language based on gender/sex, age/generation, and social class/occupation. In addition, the character language classifications in the movie include type 1 (limited character language) and type 2 (character language that deviates outside of its social or cultural group)

    Implementasi Aplikasi Kalkulator Diet Pada Penderita Obesitas Menggunakan Telepon Genggam Berbasis Android

    ABSTRAKSI: Obesitas atau kegemukan merupakan masalah yang sering dialami oleh beberapa orang. Kegemukan dirasa cukup mengganggu baik dalam penampilan maupun dalam kesehatan. Orang yang bertubuh gemuk cenderung akan lebih mudah terserang penyakit seperti diabetes, serangan jantung, kolesterol, dll.Pada Proyek Akhir ini telah dirancang suatu aplikasi yang digunakan sebagai petunjuk untuk membantu menurunkan berat badan dari penderita kegemukan, dan menghitung berat ideal. Di sini user diberikan beberapa pilihan menu yaitu, Weight Test, Diet Time, Food Calorie, dan Exit. Weight Test digunakan untuk mengukur seberapa ideal berat badan dengan menggunakan BMI(Body Mass Index) menurut standar Depkes RI. Diet Time digunakan untuk menghitung kebutuhan kalori tubuh untuk mendapatkan berat ideal yang diinginkan, mengatur porsi kalori makanan setiap makan dan melihat grafik perkembangan berat badan. Food Calorie digunakan untuk melihat jumlah kalori makanan pada sekian gram makanan tertentu dengan melihat dari database. Menu Exit dipilih jika user telah selesai menggunakan aplikasi ini dan hendak keluar dari aplikasi ini.Untuk mengetahui performansi kinerja aplikasi ini telah dibuktikan dengan melakukan pengujian pada penderita obesitas. Hasil yang telah dicapai menurut kuisioner yang telah diisi oleh user adalah aplikasi ini memiliki fitur serta konten sudah lengkap dengan persentasi sebesar 46,67%, konten yang dimiliki sudah memberi petunjuk untuk membantu menurunkan berat badan dengan persentasi sebesar 66,67%, fitur sudah berfungsi dengan baik dengan tingkat persentasi 50%, tampilan yang dimiliki juga sudah menarik dengan persentase 50%, tingkat kemudahan yaitu mudah digunakan sebesar 53,33%, dan aplikasi ini sangat bermanfaat dengan persentase 80%.Kata Kunci : Kata Kunci : obesitas, BMI, BMR, android, kalori.ABSTRACT: Obesity or overweight is a problem that is often experienced by some people. People who are overweight tend to be more susceptible to diseases such as diabetes, heart attack, cholesterol, etc.In this Final Project has designed an application that is used as a guide to help you lose weight from overweight, and calculate ideal weight. Here the user is given some of the menu options, Test Weight, Diet Time, Food Calorie, and Exit. Weight Test is used to measure how ideal weight using BMI (Body Mass Index) according to Health Department of RI standards. Diet Time is used to calculate the calories your body needs to get the desired ideal weight, regulate calorie servings of food each meal and see a graph of weight progress. Food Calorie is used to see the number of calories of food in so many grams of specific food with a view of the database. Exit menu selected when the user has finished using these applications and to get out of this application.To determine the performance of the performance of these applications has been proven by testing in patients with obesity. The results that have been achieved according to the questionnaire has been filled by the user is the application features and the content is complete with the percentage of 46.67%, the content of which is owned already gave hints to help you lose weight as a percentage of 66.67%, a feature already functioning well with the percentage of 50%, the view held also attractive with a percentage of 50%, the level of ease that is easily used by 53.33%, and the application is very useful with a percentage of 80%.Keyword: Keywords: obesity, BMI, BMR, android, calories

    Klasifikasi Uji Emisi Kendaraan Menggunakan Algoritma Expectation Maximization

    ABSTRAKSI: Polusi kian akrab dengan lingkungan sekitar, bertambahnya kendaraan bermotor memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap polusi yang terjadi. Bagi mereka yang naik kendaraan pribadi khususnya mobil yang tertutup tentu tidak merasakan polusi tersebut. Namun, bagi para pengguna sepeda motor dan angkutan umum pasti sangat terganggu. Jika hari sudah siang, udara panas menyengat kulit, sinar matahari dan asap kendaraan membuat mata perih dan pernafasan kurang nyaman.Menyadari kondisi kualitas udara yang cukup memprihatinkan berada di kawasan dengan tingkat kuantitas kendaraan cukup tinggi maka perlu adanya perhatian yang khusus terhadap emisi kendaraan bermotor. Hal ini telah dilakukan oleh Dinas Perhubungan dengan menghasilkan data begitu banyak. Data hasil uji emisi kendaraan terdiri data numeric dan nominal. Data numeric meliputi hasil uji emisi berupa kandungan CO, HC+NOx, partikel, konsumsi bahan bakar, umur kendaraan, dan kapasitas berat kendaraan. Sedangkan data nominal meliputi merk, tipe, dan jenis bahan bakar kendaraan.Begitu banyaknya data yang dihasilkan diperlukan proses yang dapat dengan cepat menangani data tersebut salah satu algoritma yang mampu menangani hal tersebut adalah algoritma expectation maximization. Selain itu, algoritma expectation maximization mampu menangani dengan lebih baik dari data yang memiliki banyak sampel dengan komponen atribut yang sedikit seperti data uji emisi kendaraan. Terlebih lagi expectation maximization mampu untuk menangani data nominal dan numeric yang terdapat pada data uji emisi kendaraan sekaligus secara mudahKata Kunci : emisi, kendaraan, algoritma expectation maximizationABSTRACT: Pollution becoming familiar with the environment, the increase in motor vehicles contributes to the pollution occurred. For those who ride personal vehicles, especially cars that are closed would not feel the pollution. However, for users of motorcycles and public transportation must be disrupted. If the morning the air skin heat, sunlight and smoke, vehicles make less eye irritation and breathing comfortably.Recognizing that air quality in the area of concern is the quantity of vehicles with high enough levels it needs special attention to vehicle emissions. This has been done by the Department of Transportation to produce so much data. Vehicle emission test result data comprises numerical and nominal data. Numeric data include emission test results form the content of CO, HC + NOx, particles, fuel consumption, vehicle age and vehicle weight capacity. While the nominal data include brand, type, and type of fuel the vehicle.Once the required amount of data produced by a process that can quickly handle the data is one of the algorithm is capable of handling this is the expectation maximization algorithm. In addition, the expectation maximization algorithm is able to handle it better than the data that has many attributes that samples with small components such as vehicle emission test data.     The Intraseasonal Dynamics of the Mixed Layer Pump in the Subpolar North Atlantic Ocean: A Biogeochemical‐Argo Float Approach

    The detrainment of organic matter from the mixed layer, a process known as the mixed layer pump (ML pump), has long been overlooked in carbon export budgets. Recently, the ML pump has been investigated at seasonal scale and appeared to contribute significantly to particulate organic carbon export to the mesopelagic zone, especially at high latitudes where seasonal variations of the mixed layer depth are large. However, the dynamics of the ML pump at intra‐seasonal scales remains poorly known, mainly because the lack of observational tools suited to studying such dynamics. In the present study, using a dense network of autonomous profiling floats equipped with bio‐optical sensors, we captured widespread episodic ML pump‐driven export events, during the winter and early spring period, in a large part of the subpolar North Atlantic Ocean. The intra‐seasonal dynamic of the ML pump exports fresh organic material to depth (basin‐scale average up to 55 mg C m‐2 d‐1), providing a significant source of energy to the mesopelagic food web before the spring bloom period. This mechanism may sustain the seasonal development of overwintering organisms such as copepods with potential impact on the characteristics of the forthcoming spring phytoplankton bloom through predator‐prey interactions

    Net primary productivity estimates and environmental variables in the Arctic Ocean: An assessment of coupled physical-biogeochemical models

    The relative skill of 21 regional and global biogeochemical models was assessed in terms of how well the models reproduced observed net primary productivity (NPP) and environmental variables such as nitrate concentration (NO3), mixed layer depth (MLD), euphotic layer depth (Zeu), and sea ice concentration, by comparing results against a newly updated, quality-controlled in situ NPP database for the Arctic Ocean (1959-2011). The models broadly captured the spatial features of integrated NPP (iNPP) on a pan-Arctic scale. Most models underestimated iNPP by varying degrees in spite of overestimating surface NO3, MLD, and Zeu throughout the regions. Among the models, iNPP exhibited little difference over sea ice condition (ice-free vs. ice-influenced) and bottom depth (shelf vs. deep ocean). The models performed relatively well for the most recent decade and towards the end of Arctic summer. In the Barents and Greenland Seas, regional model skill of surface NO3 was best associated with how well MLD was reproduced. . Regionally, iNPP was relatively well simulated in the Beaufort Sea and the central Arctic Basin, where in situ NPP is low and nutrients are mostly depleted. Models performed less well at simulating iNPP in the Greenland and Chukchi Seas, despite the higher model skill in MLD and sea ice concentration, respectively. iNPP model skill was constrained by different factors in different Arctic Ocean regions. Our study suggests that better parameterization of biological and ecological microbial rates (phytoplankton growth and zooplankton grazing) are needed for improved Arctic Ocean biogeochemical modeling

    Pemanfaatan Media Alam Sekitar Untuk Eningkatkan Ketrampilan Menulis Puisi Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Giritontro, Wonogiri Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013

    Penelitian ini mengangkat masalah mengenai peningkatan ketrampilan menulis puisi melalui media alam sekitar pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Giritontro Kabupaten Wonogiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia melalui pemanfaatan media alam sekitar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK (penelitian tindakan kelas). Subjek penerima tindakan adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Giritontro yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pada Siklus I menunjukkan peningkatan ketrampilan menulis puisi dimana terjadi peningkatan 23% semula pada pra siklus siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM 5 siswa atau 38,5% dan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 8 siswa atau 61,5% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 67,3. Pada Siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan ketrampilan menulis puisi dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 76,2 dan presentase siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM (65) sebanyak 84,6% (11 siswa)
