Monetary Policy, Regime Shifts, and Inflation Uncertainty in Peru (1949-2006)

This paper evaluates the link between inflation and inflation uncertainty in a context of monetary policy regime shifts for the Peruvian economy. We use a model of unobserved components subject to regime shifts to evaluate this link. We verify that periods of high(low) inflation me an were accompanied by periods of high(low) both short -and long- run uncertainty in inflation. Interestingly, unlike developed countries, short run uncertainty is important. These relationaships are consistent with the presence of three clearly differentiated regimes. First, a period of price stability, then a high -inflation high-volatility regime, and finally a hyperinflation period. We also verify that during a recent period of price stability, both permanent and transitory shocks to inflation have decreased in volatility. Relación entre la función hepática e inmunocompetencia tras el trasplante de hígado

En situaciones como la cirrosis hepática (donde la enfermedad no se detiene) la única posibilidad terapéutica es el trasplante de hígado total o parcial. Los injertos hepáticos pueden ser reconocidos como extraños y rechazados por nuestro sistema inmunitario, lo que nos obliga a inmunosuprimir a los individuos trasplantados. La inmunosupresión es un arma de doble filo, porque un exceso de puede dejar a los pacientes expuestos a infecciones, y un defecto permitir el rechazo del trasplante. La inmunosupresión se puede medir por la técnica Immuknow, que predice el riesgo de infección y en menor medida el de rechazo. En este contexto en el presente trabajo hemos realizado esta técnica en la cohorte de pacientes trasplantados (N= 150) en el periodo 2014-2018 en el servicio de Hepatología del HURH. En esa misma muestra hemos medido la función hepática con diversos parámetros analíticos. Y hemos correlacionado ambos resultados estratificando los pacientes en 2 grupos: los seguidos menos de 1 año (N=50) o más de un año post trasplante (N= 65). Moldes de fundición de las Edades del Bronce y del Hierro en la Submeseta Norte española

La presencia de un importante volumen de moldes de fundición en la Submeseta Norte evidencia una producción metalúrgica autóctona de cierta complejidad en un contexto que abarca desde las primeras etapas de la Edad del Bronce hasta la Primera Edad del Hierro. VaR adjusted to business and financial cycles

Value-at-Risk is an important risk measurement tool. However, since the Subprime crisis there have been claims that it is an ineffective measure of risk. This paper shows that VaR breaks occur much more often in periods of recessions compared to expansions. By using business and financial cycle theory, an economic indicator (MOI) was created to assess when the economy was approaching a recession. Using the MOI indicator, several models were created to adjust the volatility according to business cycle conditions. Results confirm the effectiveness of using volatility adjusted to business and financial cycles as an input for a VaR model

Jóvenes y trayectorias a la vida adulta. Desigualdades, retos y nuevas formas en un contexto de crisis.

La juventud se ha convertido, desde el inicio de la crisis en 2008, en un tema mediático y objeto de estudio e investigación así como de diseño de políticas públicas que incluyan el objetivo de paliar la situación de dificultad y precariedad en la que se encuentran muchos jóvenes en la actualidad. Jóvenes con una gran formación y que tienen que abandonar el país por no encontrar empleo adecuado en España; jóvenes que abandonaron el sistema educativo para incorporarse al mercado laboral y que con la crisis se han quedado sin empleo; jóvenes que no pueden emanciparse por carecer de medios y que como consecuencia de ello, alargan la permanencia en casa de sus padres. Jóvenes que en definitiva ven un futuro incierto en sus vidas. El objetivo de esta introducción es ofrecer una breve panorámica y una presentación de los diferentes artículos incluidos en el presente número de la revista.Youth has become since the beginning of the crisis in 2008, a media subject and also an object of study and research as well as an object of design of public policies with the aim of alleviating the difficult and precarious situation in which many young people are today. Young highly educated who have to leave the country because they don’t find suitable employment in Spain; young people who left the education system to enter the labor market and lost their jobs with this crisis; young people who can not emancipate for lack of means and as a result, extend the stay at their parental home. Young ultimately see an uncertain future in their lives. The purpose of this introduction is to provide a brief overview and presentation of the different articles in this issue of the magazine

Dual-Band Tunable Recursive Active Filter

This letter presents a novel recursive active filter topology that provides dual-band performance, with independent tuning capability in both bands. The dual-band operation is achieved by using two independent feedback lines. Multiple Order Dual-Band Active Ring Filters with Composite Right/Left Handed Cells

In this paper, a novel dual-band active filter topology is presented. The non-linear phase response of a composite right/left-handed cell is used to achieve the desired dual-band performance. Additionally, the proposed structure based on coupled ring resonators yields a very compact solution in which high-order implementations can be easily obtained by cascading multiple rings. The theoretical principles of this type of filters are analyzed in detail. Finally, three prototypes based on first-, second- and third-order structures validate the feasibility of this type of filters. Good agreement between simulations and measurements has been achieved
