Generative Artificial Intelligence to Provide Seamless Music Transition

    Get PDF
Listeners of streamed music may experience brief pauses or interruptions between songs, which can disrupt the listening experience. This disclosure describes techniques for eliminating or reducing pauses between songs on music streaming platforms, thereby providing a seamless, uninterrupted listening experience for users. Artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) modules analyze rhythms of the current and upcoming songs. A seamless transition between songs is achieved by determining points in sequential songs that have a common rhythm, or by synthetically generating and inserting a transitional piece of music between sequential songs

The Role of Echocardiography in Acute Myocardial Infarction

    Get PDF
Our institutional experience with two-dimensional echocardiography and color flow Doppler tests, as welt as a review of the literature, reveals that echocardiography is useful in diagnosing myocardial infarction. Furthermore, complications of myocardial infarction such as mitral regurgitation with or without papillary muscle rupture, acquired ventricular septal defect, true and false left ventricular aneurysms, left ventricular thrombi, right ventricular infarction, and pericardial effusion in the setting of acute infarction can he detected by cardiac ultrasound. Echocardiography is also useful in assessing prognosis of postinfarction patients based on degree of left ventricular dysfunction. This test, however, is not 100% sensitive and specific in diagnosing these entities and should be reviewed in context of a patient\u27s history, physical findings, and other laboratory tests

    Automated Smart Meeting Scheduling

    Get PDF
Scheduling meetings requires hosts to manually check invitee calendars to find available time slots. Further, it requires invitees to manually accept invites or reject/propose new times. Meeting scheduling currently does not take into account historical user behavior or user preferences that may not be explicitly indicated. This disclosure describes the use of machine learning techniques to automate and simplify meeting scheduling. The techniques are implemented with specific user permission to access the user’s calendar and other data. User data are accessed specifically for the purposes of meeting scheduling and in accordance with user preferences. Trained machine learning models can automatically determine suitable time slots and can take actions on behalf of the user to set up meetings, to accept/reject invitations, propose alternate time slots, and prioritize important meetings

Echo-Doppler Features of Pulmonary Valve Endocarditis

    Get PDF
Three patients with fever and pneumonitis were found to have pulmonary valve vegetations by echocardiography. Pulsed and color flow Doppler studies demonstrated mild to moderate pulmonary valve insufficiency in these patients. All patients responded to the appropriate antibiotics without requiring valve surgery. Echocardiography is of value in diagnosing pulmonary valve endocarditis and should be considered in every patient with recurrent pneumonitis

Foreign Direct Investment, Exports, and Domestic Output in Pakistan

The impact of the policy reform on economic performance has been one of the stifling issues in development economics in the recent years. Since the middle 1970s, there has been considerable progress in the trade reform in the most developing countries, turning from an import substitution strategy to export-oriented approach. Pakistan also follows export-oriented policies. Pakistan’s trade pattern and trade policy have been moving towards fewer and fewer controls, tariffs rates have come tumbling down. Export-led-growth hypothesis (ELG) suggests that due to positive correlation between export and growth, therefore, export-oriented policies contribute to economic growth. Thus, international trade and development theory suggests that export growth contributes positively to economic growth. On the basis of this framework, most empirical work on the effects of export promoting strategy followed in developing countries evaluated openness with trade. Empirical research about the effect of this liberalisation process has treated export as principal channel for growth. The relationship with exports and growth, grounded in endogenous growth theory, has been tested for Pakistan.

Horizons of Neuromarketing in Consumer Behavior

    Get PDF
In the current study, the data of last researches in the field of neuroscience and memory evolution have been presented, keeping in view the fundamental developments of neuromarketing learning and cognitive behavior. Understanding the essential mechanisms behind customer shopping behaviors and the approach that marketing affects such actions are the essential concerns that need more research. The progression is primarily compelled by the belief that the utilization of neuroscientific approaches will add supplementary evidence to existing concepts and theories. Providentially, marketing investigation can significantly benefit from methodological progress in the field of neurosciences. The contributions of this study to the literature are to investigate the multiple and conflicting criteria of neuromarketing technology evaluation. Significant avenues of the research are what usually meant by neuromarketing, which is the concept that can be employed to understand brain neural functions and physiological measurements to advance the forecast of future marketing success and further what is gained by the non-physiological measurements

Semi-transparent energy-harvesting solar concentrator windows employing infrared transmission-enhanced glass and large-area microstructured diffractive elements

    Get PDF
We report on the study of energy-harvesting performance in medium-size (400 cm2) glass-based semitransparent solar concentrators employing edge-mounted photovoltaic modules. Systems using several different types of glazing system architecture and containing embedded diffractive structures are prepared and characterized. The technological approaches to the rapid manufacture of large-area diffractive elements suitable for use in solar window-type concentrators are described. These elements enable the internal deflection and partial trapping of light inside glass-based concentrator windows. We focus on uncovering the potential of pattern-transfer polymer-based soft lithography for enabling both the improved photon collection probability at solar cell surfaces, and the up-scaling of semitransparent solar window dimensions. Results of photovoltaic characterization of several solar concentrators employing different internal glazing-system structure and diffractive elements produced using different technologies are reported and discussed
