Managing an organization requires access to information in order to monitor activities and assess performance. Business Intelligence (BI) solutions provide organizations with timley, itegrated information that is crucial to the understanding of their business. Data Warehouse (DW) technology is one of the important strategic management approaches for decision making in an organizations. The BI combines architectures, tools, databases, analytical tools, and methodologies to enable the implementation of interactive information in generating analytical reports. Strategic reports, which influence the enduring way of the whole company, are typically used by top managers. These kinds of decisions are repeatedly complex and the outcomes unsure, because existing information is habitually incomplete. Managers at this point must normally depend on history experiences and their instincts when making strategic decisions. DW is a technology allows integrating and transforming enterprise data for strategic decision making. Furthermore, Decision Tree (DT) is a decision support tool that uses a tree-like graphof decisions and their possible consequences, including chance event outcomes, resource costs, and utility. The organization, which is, responsible to manage people activities need strategic decisions making. This paper will be focused how to design and develop Strategic Reports using DW and DT Model for National Co-operative Organization of Malaysia (ANGKASA) called DSRNCO, as a case study. This system has been evaluated through the system user feedback by using Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ), which measures system usability and user satisfaction

The article aimed to identify the level of mobile journalism skills that field reporters in Jordanian TV channels have. It adopted the survey methodology and applied it to an available sample of (56) reporters. The results showed that self-skills (most important are journalistic sense and observation skills and skills of adapting to smartphones) came first. Professional skills (most important are the skills of communicating with sources, and the skills of transmitting, publishing, and distributing media materials) came second. While technical skills (such as the skill of searching for and verifying information, images and videos, and skills of protecting and securing information) came in the third and final order, being the least of the skills for field reporters. The results also revealed that the most important ethical standards for mobile journalism for reporters are avoiding fabricating journalistic stories, respecting religions, and preserving the confidentiality of sources. Finally, the results concluded that there is a correlation between mobile journalism skills and commitment to ethical standards in the production of media content via mobile

The article aims to explore the ideology of Jordanian politicians discourse in the talk shows, based on Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) in its ideological aspect, and by applying Van Dijk ideological square. The population has been the program Friendly Fire (NiranSadeeqah) that is broadcast on Amman TV. Seven episodes have been analyzed (of which, their airtime accumulated to (5 hrs. and 51 minutes) that hosted seven Jordanian prime ministers. The analysis categories have been determined based on Van Dijk ideological square; (Emphasizing positive things about Us, emphasizing negative things about Them, De-emphasize negative things about Us, De-emphasizing positive things about Them). The results concluded that the ideology of the Jordanian politicians discourse sought primarily to De-emphasize of the negativity related to the Jordanian politician (36.4%), with (2.07 hrs.) of the seven episodes. At the second rank, the Jordanian politicians discourse focused on emphasizingthe positivity of politician Jordanian (28.7%) with (1.52.30 hrs.). Thirdly, they sought to “Emphasize negative things about others” (19.7%) with (01:06:20 hrs.). Finally, they focused on “De-emphasizing positive things about others (15.2%) with (0:45:30 hrs.)

The aim of this study was to detect the accumulation of carbon and determination its appearance in different areas of groups of ducks. Using special dyes to detect deposits of carbon particles. Also, using AO/ EB stains to detect early and late (progress) apoptosis that occurred due to the precipitated of carbon in both areas (Al-ahdeb oil field and brick factories areas) but late apoptosis occurred in bronchi of brick factories area more than oil field area. The histological examination of trachea showed no any indicator of accumulation of carbon in three different areas, whereas in bronchi showed the presence of carbon in polluted areas (Al-ahdeb oil field and brick factories areas) in different amounts

The transverse shear deformation behaviour of magneto-electro-elastic shell

    Get PDF
Compared to the large number of possible magneto-electro-elastic shell theories, very few exact solutions determining the in-plane stresses, electric displacements and magnetic inductions are possible. While, solving the magneto-electro-elastic shell equations in terms of thermo-magneto-electro-elastic generalized field functions on arbitrary domains and for general conditions exactly are not always possible. In the present work, a linear version of magneto-electro-elastic shell with simply supported boundary conditions, solved exactly, provided that the lamination scheme is cross-ply or anti-symmetric angle-ply laminates. The exact solution that introduced herein can measure the in-plane stresses, electric displacements and magnetic inductions. It also allow for an accurate and usually elegant and conclusive investigation of the various sensations in a shell structure. However, it is important for micro-electro-mechanical shell applications to have an approach available that gives the transverse shear deformation Behaviourfor cases that cannot examine experimentally. An investigated examples were accompanied and noteworthy conclusions were drawn which highlight the issues of the implementation of the exact solution, implication of the effects of the material properties, lay-ups of the constituent layers, and shell parameters on the static Behaviour

Modified RSA-based algorithm: a double secure approach

    Get PDF
Security algorithms like RSA are becoming increasingly important for communications to provide companies, organizations, and users around the world, secure applications who rely heavily on them in their daily work. Security algorithms use different acquaintances among companies which might belong to various countries or even cities. Such data should essentially be encrypted to make sure that there is security in transportation. Thus, the current research paper leads to the novel system of security for the safe transfer of data. This paper examines the general principles of encryption and focuses on the development of RSA and the complexity of the encryption key so that it becomes more secure in the applications used. In this project, we will work on the RSA algorithm by adding some complexity to the 3keys (3k). This addition will increase the security and complexity of the algorithm's speed while maintaining encryption and decryption time. The paper also presents an approach by means of public key encryption to enhance cryptographic security. Moreover, double security is provided by the algorithm of RSA. This novel RSA algorithm was investigated in MATLAB. Numerical results for the various parameters such as Mean Square Error (MSE), correlation and Bit Error Ratio (BER) were implemented for the encryption of the message. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm for 3 keys has small error rate in the retrieval of the encoded text

Theoretical Study for Stabilizing Group 14 Elements by Five Different Carbene Ligands as L-E-E-L Complexes

Background: The computational calculations have been employed as a great tool to understand the stabilization of main group species by carbene ligands, which have been recognized as excellent compounds for coordinating highly reactive main-group elements in their zero oxidation state. Objective: The most important results that have been published up to now shown that N-Heterocyclic carbene and Cyclic (Alkyl)(Amino)Carbene ligands can stabilize main group compounds as highly stable complexes. Methods: That led us to further theoretically investigate the possibility of expanding this feature with phosphorus carbenes which have more electron contributing ability. Results: The bonding condition of the E2L2 molecules (where E is group 14 main group elements and L is Carbene ligands) may be understood in depth due to the combination of two ligands with two groups of 14 elements. The combination provides a guideline for synthesizing molecules with novel bonding motifs. Two atoms of group 14 are stabilized by two donor ligands in this bonding picture. In contrast to the E=E bonds seen in nitrogen carbene complexes, all phosphorus carbene complexes exhibit the E=L double bond character notation L=EE=L. L acts as a strong donor ligand in this complex. Conclusions: the thermodynamic calculations and orbital analysis can predict that complexes of L=E−E=L are stable enough to become isolated in a condensed phase for all compounds

Background: Staging of primary carcinoma of the larynx play an important role in surgical management of the disease .This staging depends on the clinical finding and radiological examination , supported by pathological assessment of the excised tumor Objectives: To evaluate the accuracy of clinical and radiological staging Patients’ and methods: Forty-two patients with laryngeal carcinoma were admitted to the ENT Department during the period from June 2009 through October 2010. Each patient was staged by clinical examination and computed tomography. Evaluation of the results compared to the final diagnosis of staging , based on the pathological staging of specimens of patients who underwent total laryngectomy and the highest T stage was obtained from clinical and CT staging for patients with early laryngeal carcinoma(T1-T2) . Results: The clinical staging of laryngeal carcinoma showed: high accuracy in staging was on glottic tumours (83.3%), especially T1 glottic tumours (100%),(small and superficial lesions), and lower accuracy in staging of supraglottic and transglottic tumors (61.9%) , (55.6% ) respectively.Underestimation of all tumors was 31.4% . The CT staging of laryngeal carcinoma showed: very high accuracy in staging transglottic and supraglottic tumours (100%), (85.7%) respectively in comparison to clinical staging and lower accuracy (75%) in staging glottic tumours. Underestimation of all tumours was 11.5 % of cases (especially small and superficial lesions). Conclusions: High accuracy rate based on clinical examination was found in glottic carcinoma and high accuracy rate based on radiological examination was found in supraglottic carcinoma. Clinical examination and CT scan are complementary for sraging of carcinoma of larynx

Effects of structured solids on regioselectivity of dibromination of naphthalene

    Get PDF
The influence of structured solids (amorphous, lamellar and 3D crystalline) on the regioselectivity of the dibromination of naphthalene using bromine at room temperature has been investigated. The more acidic amorphous catalysts and an acidic clay give rapid reactions and lead to a large preponderance of 1,4-dibromonaphthalene over the 1,5-dibromo compound, while calcined KSF clay, a bentonite material, after a short reaction time gives a small predominance of the 1,5-isomer. Longer reaction times lead to the equilibration of reaction mixtures, which means that the 1,4-isomer eventually predominates in all cases. Based on these observations, it has been possible to devise synthetically useful preparative procedures, involving direct room temperature reactions of bromine with naphthalene, for either 1,4-dibromonaphthalene or 1,5-dibromonaphthalene based on the use of different solids, namely Synclyst 13 and KSF clay, respectively

Introductory programming: a systematic literature review

    Get PDF
As computing becomes a mainstream discipline embedded in the school curriculum and acts as an enabler for an increasing range of academic disciplines in higher education, the literature on introductory programming is growing. Although there have been several reviews that focus on specific aspects of introductory programming, there has been no broad overview of the literature exploring recent trends across the breadth of introductory programming. This paper is the report of an ITiCSE working group that conducted a systematic review in order to gain an overview of the introductory programming literature. Partitioning the literature into papers addressing the student, teaching, the curriculum, and assessment, we explore trends, highlight advances in knowledge over the past 15 years, and indicate possible directions for future research
