This research aims to explain, analyze and interpret the implementation of the Population Administration Service Innovation "Balikpapan Beach" in the Balikpapan City Population and Civil Registry Service. This research focuses on implementing innovation through the Best Practice Innovation approach (Impact, Partnership, Sustainability, Leadership, Transferability) and its Inhibiting Factors. The results of the research show that the Population Administration Service Innovation "Balikpapan Beach" in the Balikpapan City Population and Civil Registration Service is good and is included in the Best Partice category including the Impact dimension on the external (Community) and Internal (Balikpapan City Dukcapil) side, the Balikpapan City Dukcapil Patnership dimension collaborate with related departments and private parties through cooperation agreements. Sustainability support from the legislative side, the issuance of supporting regulations as well as support from HR commitment and openness to suggestions and criticism of services as evaluation material. = Leadership of the Head of the Balikpapan City Dukcapil Service is the key to the success of the "Balikpapan Beach" innovation with leadership in the Transformational and Agile leadership categories. And finally, the transferability dimension of the "Balikpapan Beach" application has been replicated and studied/transferred from knowledge with agencies inside and outside East Kalimantan. The inhibiting factors are limited operational hours, the public's lack of understanding of the "Balikpapan Beach" service, resulting in people returning in droves to the Balikpapan City Dukcapil to get clarity regarding complaints and service information and finally the centralized SIAK Server which is directly run by the Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs, which experienced disruption and maintenance resulting in disruption of services at "Balikpapan Beach"

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of calendar anomalies specifically on day of the week effect (DOW) on 10 Islamic stock markets’ returns such as Dow Jones Islamic Market (DJIM), Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, Bahrain, Pakistan—for 20 years from 25 September 2000 to 24 September 2020. The methods of study using Generalized AutoRegressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) and Exponential Generalized AutoRegressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (EGARCH) as a robustness test. The findings revealed that calendar anomalies had considerable impacts on returns for the following Islamic stock markets: DJIM, Indonesia, and Pakistan. Keywords: Calendar anomalies; day of the week effect; GARCH; EMH. eISSN: 2398-4287© 2022. The Authors. Published for AMER ABRA cE-Bs by e-International Publishing House, Ltd., UK. Functional extreme rainfall data in Petaling Jaya

    Get PDF
This research implements two important main fields of the study which is functional data analysis and extreme value theory. The aims of this study are to convert the extreme rainfall data into functions and to propose method development for functional data analysis in extreme value theory. Functional data analysis is one of the techniques to convert or transform discrete observations into functions or curves. The daily rainfall data in Petaling Jaya from 1974 to 2003 will be tested on extreme value theory approach which is block maxima in order to practice the functional data analysis technique. The least squares and akaike criteria information method are used to smooth the fourier basis of the functional data analysis. A descriptive statistics which represents the behavior of a rainfall data for Petaling Jaya is analyzed and illustrated by a smooth curve from functional data analysis. This study indicates that there is an increase in rates of the rainfall in Petaling Jaya for the recent period compared to the last 30 years data both in the mean and standard deviation values

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of promotion on the number of new student registrations at the Tangerang Nusantara Tourism Academy. This type of research is quantitative research. The population used is all prospective students who register in T.A 2021/2022 as many as 140 students of the Tangerang Nusantara Tourism Academy. the sample was selected as many as 80 respondents. determined by using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used is the distribution of questionnaires in the form of a questionnaire through the google form application. By using simple linear regression analysis. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, namely by looking for correlation coefficients and simple linear regression using t test. This research was carried out on June 1 - August 31, 2022. Based on statistical results using the SPSS 22.00 application, the results showed "there was a significant effect of promotion on the number of prospective student registrations at the Tangerang Nusantara Tourism Academy" with a promotion percentage rate of 33.98% in increase the number of student registrations

Investigating Slang Word and Sociolinguistic Aspect of Anjay

Slang uses referred to modernity, language assimilation, and language variety in social discourses; that underlined the background to the reason of young generation to assimilate and modification, as a tool for communicating also socialization. Importantly, slang even the outer level of young ages, will interpret as negative meanings, but they going to acquire in variety moment. In further slang became the symbol of freedom of speech, a group of human class entity, and modern life. All perspective above, that grounded and interrelated to slang uses, was implicating to the use of Anjay word [as the representative or reflection of the various slang in Indonesia]. A word such Anjay, transported from negative meanings which rooting of [dog-word; in Bahasa Indonesia as Anjing] became one of popular slang that expressed of enthusiasm, adore, joke, love, and friendship to one object. The method which is used in this research is descriptive qualitative research; there was literature study that compiled of journal-thesis-and bachelor paper. Result showed that slang in general studies, were of several types. And the result is perspective of anjay for senior high school student. Anjay word can be used 83% and cannot be used 17%. They do not mind the use of Anjay for their communication with the purpose of joke or responding something funny

This study examines the issue of indirect technology transfer through both horizontal and vertical spillovers from foreign direct investment (FDI). Combining both input-output data for 2000 and a balanced micro-panel data set for the period 2000-2004, we estimate total factor productivity (TFP) of establishments as a function of the different extent of foreign presence and inter industry linkages; amongst other explanatory variables

A reliability based consistent fuzzy preference relations for risk assessment in oil and gas industry

    Get PDF
In decision making, linguistic variables tend to be complex to handle but they make more sense than classical fuzzy numbers. Fuzziness is not sufficient enough to deal with information and degree of reliability of information is critical. Z-numbers is proposed to model the uncertainty produced by human judgment when eliciting information. Therefore, the implementation of z-numbers is taken into consideration, where it has more authority to describe the knowledge of human being and extensively used in the uncertain information development. This issue has motivated the authors to propose fuzzy multi criteria decision making methodology using z-numbers. The proposed methodology is demonstrated the capability to handle knowledge of human being and uncertain information for risk assessment in oil and gas industry. This assessment is due to periodic basis, which will give insights from the operational until the strategic level of decision making process that is capable of dealing with uncertainty in human judgment. The consistent fuzzy preference relations is developed to calculate the preference-weights of the criteria related based on the derived network structure and to resolve conflicts arising from differences in information and opinions provided by the decision makers. The proposed methodology is constructed without losing the generality of the consistent fuzzy preference relations under fuzzy environment

Multiple-try Metropolis Hastings for modeling extreme PM10 data

    Get PDF
Awareness of catastrophic events brings the attention to work out the relationship of these events by using statistical analysis of Extreme Value Theory (EVT). This study focused on extreme PM10 data using a Gumbel distribution which is one of the Extreme Value distributions. The parameters were estimated using the new Bayesian approach in extreme called Multiple Try Metropolis-Hastings algorithms. We compared this approach with another Markov Chain Monte Carlo approach which is the classical Metropolis-Hastings algorithm and the frequentist approach, Maximum Likelihood Estimation. It appears that these three approaches provide comparable results. Data are taken for Pasir Gudang station for year 1996 to 2010
